Leo’s Coney Island

We recently moved to the neighborhood and were excited to see a Leo’s so close to our house. We stopped in for lunch and were so disappointed. They were friendly, but the waitress couldn’t understand what we were ordering. Even after pointing to what we wanted on the menu, she brought the wrong food. It wasn’t worth trying to get what I originally wanted because it had taken so long to get the food the first time around. Plus trying to communicate with her was so difficult, it just wasn’t worth it.
We decided to try just getting carry out another night to avoid the terrible service, but after getting home, I found one of my hot dogs under cooked, chewy, and inedible.
Save your time (unless you’ve got an hour to kill for lunch and don’t mind waiting forever for mediocre food) and money, go to the Antonio’s Coney Island on the other side of 13 mile. Much better food and service!

Well turns out they don’t honor their Unilocal coupons so I just paid $ 33 for a $ 19 meal. The manager said she was clueless and they don’t have a Unilocal.She said she spoke to two owners and they didn’t know either. This isn’t the only coupon they have on their Unilocal.BEWARE. Not to mention they said they don’t have a Unilocal but I checked the location, address and reviews – seems pretty damn legit of a Unilocal page to me!

Nice to have a restaurant close by but, I will drive out of my way to avoid this place. I don’t get why people think it’s remotely good. Always horrible food. Tried three times now. Not dirty as others say. Just terrible food

The food is delicious and the services is fast and friendly. I’m not sure what the other Unilocalers are talking about but I have never seen this place dirty. I always order the Greek salad with grilled chicken and it is the best I’ve ever had. The portions are generous. The prices are slightly higher then most coney island, but I don’t mind. Just an all around good place to eat.

Stopped in to have some coney food. Loved the coney dogs and the service. This place is always friendly and the food is good. Great specials like .99 cent coney dog Wednesday. Which makes this fat dude super happy! Go in and get some good food, parking is always convenient, even during the busy times. they make time for you! Great Place, this is my coney of choice!

Umm nope!
Look at this sample of the CRAP they tried to serve me just now. It is obvious they do not change their frying oil which can MAKE CUSTOMERS SICK!
That owner gives two squats less about proper restaurant and food service management and deserves to lose his business.

My family and I were very anxious for this restaurant to open. Now we now it should of just stayed closed! The first time we tried it the service was horrible the food ok but very pricey, so we though oh we will give them another try since they just had opened, went back a 2^nd time and it was even worse there was a hair wrapped around my daughters bacon, I pointed it out the waitress took the plate and never said anything returned with a new plate and still never said anything and then never returned to our table to check on anything else. Drinks were never refilled, only to drop the bill off and leave… I mentioned it to the check out girl who got the mgr who offered a free meal next time no thanks! What a disappointment

We ordered a take out of coney dogs and it took over 30 mins and the guy was getting our order messed up. I am never going back to that location.

Order my eggs over medium and bacon well done. Took forever to come and when it did the bacon was raw !! I told the waitress she could take it right back. So now 10 minutes later when she brings it back the eggs and hash browns were cold !!! Are you kidding me? When I asked to speak to the manager he was busy drinking coffee with a customer !! Another restaurant on my SUCK list !!!

3 Stars for food very good prices as well but service hit or miss! Tonight missed out of the ballpark! Our waitress was somewhere other then here? My wife ordered chicken hani with Swiss not American waitress said I remember you, you ordered same thing last time I ordered chicken shish kabob single she asked rice or fries I said rice. Order shows up my wife gets the hani with American cheese and I got a Gero Dinner not What I ordered she apologized I sat watching my wife eat 10 min later I get my dinner with fries? Once again she apologized I said forget it but she insisted I take rice in carry out to point of being rude Bill comes along she says she left the other dinner on because it was cheaper? My original order would have been $ 7.49 she brought double skewers at $ 8.50 the mistake dinner was $ 9.79! She was too lazy to have Mgr change it so dumb customer won’t know! Never saw Mgr told cashier she offered to get it changed by calling waitress I said forget it! Then she comes running with the damn rice we purposely left behind… she ruined our evening will not let her wait on us again!

Great food along with excellent service! Nothing beats their Hani and Chili Cheese Fries! Always fresh and never disappointing. The new owners have really spiced up the place!

So glad to have Leo’s in the area. Great salads and pitas. Nice waitstaff.

New to the neighborhood this restaurant fits in perfectly. Good food at a decent price and the staff is friendly and is really on top of making sure the customer is taken care of. Place is clean and inviting to all ages. I will definitely be back here often.
