I agree with the other positive postings for Dr. Merola. Great combination of; character, competence, and genuine concern for your health.

My review like other negatives reviews is marked as «Not recommended». Yes, easy way to bump up the rating. This is a shame. Now new problem, got a bill for my check-up that is supposed to be 100% covered by my insurance. I think that it wasn’t filed to my insurance at all. But how could I know, when I call I get to a person who«doesn’t know». This is just at the lowest standard. But well, this review will be marked as «not recommended», yeah, don’t do better, just hide… Pathetic.

I would give him no stars if possible. Absolutely awful. I have been trying to get a referral from him for close to 2 months now and have yet to receive it. I have gone through all of the required steps(appointments, blood work, follow up appointments) and have not received my referral. I can never get in touch with him either. I have called at least a dozen times and have never been able to get in touch with him. Stay far aeay

Dr. Merola is the last of the«old school» doctors who not only takes a personal interest in his patients well being, but takes the time to fully understand what ails you and provides very personalized treatment. He’s very much unlike most other PCPs who rush you in and out and seem more interested in your co-pay than your health. I overheard him talking about the house calls he makes to his elderly patients. Wow! I thought those days were long over. I highly recommend Dr. Merola… he’s a refreshing break from today’s «mechanized» PCP.

Outstanding. Dr. Merola knows his stuff, and is as good a primary care doctor as I could hope for. The office staff is friendly, helpful and orderly — they try their best to run things on schedule, even when the schedule doesn’t seem to want to cooperate. I don’t go to see the doctor often, but when I do, I’m glad I’m going to see Merola.
