I called the photo department to see if I ordered pictures through and choose«ship to store» they would be printed at the location for pick up, so I could get them faster. Somebody answered the phone, but it wasn’t the photo department, and it rang for far too long. This person explained they couldn’t transfer me and it wasn’t their department. I call back. It rings and rings and rings, finally a voice. «Hi what department are you looking for?» «Photo.» “Ok, you have to call the actual photo lab, because I can’t transfer you” «That’s what I called» «Please call back.» It rings for far too long again. I hear the same voice «What department are you looking for?» «The one I called. Photo.» «OK, you need to call them direct I can’t transfer you.» «Why did you answer the phone then?» «What?» “If you’re not in photo, and you can’t transfer me, and I called photo, why did you answer?” «Sir, you just have to call the photo department. I’ll give you the number.» «No. I’ve called three times now. Obviously, I have the number. If I call again, is someone who can help me going to answer the phone? „Yes sir.“ Call again. Again with the ringing. Same voice answers. „What department are you looking for?“ „Listen, is someone actually working in photo right now?“ „If you want photo you have to call.“ » Stop right there. This is the fourth phone call and the same thing happens every time. I have one simple question for photo.” «What’s the question?» «Are you in photo?» «No.» “Then my question is why can’t the person working photo answer the damn phone?” «I don’t know sir.» «Is there a manager in that store?» «Yes.» “Can you ask him why his store is being run this way? Or better yet, tell him to go to photo and tell the person working to answer the phone. I’m calling back in 20 minutes.“ Constant ringing again. Same woman again. «Thank y-„ “Stop. Get the manager.“ „One moment.“ I hear her talking to him. „What’s the question sir?“ „If I order online for in store pick up do you people print the photos?“ „He wants to know if he can get in store pick up for the pics he orders online“ „No. That’s not what I said. Do YOU print the pictures I order to be delivered to your store?“ „Do we print the pictures he orders here… Yes sir, we print them here“ „So, if I hit order now, can I come get them later?“ „Yes.“ “Because it says friday…» «We will print them, they will be done. You will get an email.» Two later I do the phone shuffle again. Can’t get anyone, so I go down there. Finally the only helpful person in the store apparently, an electronics department worker in a wheelchair,(I wish I got her name) came to my aid. She went through all the shipment for that day looking, and didn’t find it. She did tell me though that I needed to choose one hour pickup if I wanted them on the day. Neither my wife nor I saw that option, although, telling me that was an option would have answered the question I had at the beginning. Maybe if they actually had someone working in the department I wouldn’t have gotten incorrect answers from clueless store managers, and wasted two trips back and forth to the store. The pics finally came(late) on Saturday. I never got the confirmation email. It just happened to be my third trip back to check because nobody would answer when I called to ask if they were in. Oh, and a side note. As I was picking up the photos I could hear over the walkies that a woman was looking for an almanac. I actually walked past her as she asked the question, but got to hear the outcome as I stood in line. They asked the store manager about it. «Er, uhm. No we don’t sell almanacs.» I look to my left at the magazine rack next to me that nobody even came over to look at. Bottom shelf, 2016 Almanac. No wonder I got misinformation and dismissed. Not one employee could be bothered to even look. TLDR; Pics came in late, screwed up, and nobody working in this store has any clue what they are talking about, or doing. Workers spend entire shifts on their cellphones, but not answering calls for their departments.
