Yellow Cab of Walnut Creek

Ordered a cab for a specific time, for a very short trip from home to the BART station. 7 minutes before that time we got a call that there were no cabs available!!! Gladly there’s Über that came fast, but it was really cutting it close and my husband could have missed his flight.

We made 2 reservations in the morning to take a group of us to Bart so we could go to our respective airports. Neither cab showed up or called. We almost missed our flights and had to pay another company to take us all the way to the airport instead. Don’t risk ruining the start of a vacation w this company!

Terrible customer service. Were told we would have a pick up in 15 minutes that was almost an hour later. Just made our airplane. Will never ever use again.

Worst experience with dispatcher tonight and unfortunately will never use them again. I’m new to the area and don’t drive so end up calling them a few times a week. The drivers have been nice enough and I can’t say I’ve waited that long. Tonight I got off work and called just after 11. The dispatcher answered and asked when I needed the cab. I told her right away. She said she’d try to find someone. I asked her how long since I wasn’t sure what «trying to find someone meant». She placed me on hold and the call dropped. I wasn’t sure where we left it so I called another company and they said they’d be right over. I was in a hurry since I was waiting late alone in a strip mall. I then called yellow cab back (1 minute after originally talking to them) and said I’m not sure if you put my request through but I didn’t need them anymore. This is when it got ugly… She starts berating me about canceling. I told her I wasn’t sure if she was sending someone or not since she hung up. She got super defensive about that and started turning it all on me…” You hung up on me and now you’re canceling and now I have to call her back the driver and cancel it” She was super rude and condescending and would not let me speak. I asked to speak to a manager and she hung up on me. I called again to ask her name and she said her name was Susan and started complaining at me again for canceling one minute later. I told her I would never use them again and hung up. The worst part about it all was she called me 20 minutes later to tell me my cab was outside. I told her I cancelled it are you crazy we have argued about this already. She told me I didn’t call and hung up. WTF! I can’t believe she didn’t call and cancel my cab and made somebody drive out there for nothing! I will never use them again as long as she’s there which is a shame because the actual drivers are great.

Sucks. Never on time & they don’t let you know when there’s a problem & are going to be late. I decided to give them another chance but this time I reserved the car in advance the night before. The dispatcher told me there was no need to call the morning of, but thank goodness I did because they were 20 minutes late again. Unless you have time to spare, don’t use this company. The drivers are friendly but late 100% of the time.

The worst cab service EVER! Not reliable. The lady who answers the phone says about «10 minutes for a pick up» it took 40 minutes for the cab to arrive. Used this cab service twice & both have been terrible experiences & long wait times. They don’t even call you to give you a status on where the driver is. I had to call twice & both times I was told the driver was «almost there». The driver that picked me up had no change & had the audacity to have me ask for change at a local gym. He did not even apologize for being late nor offer a discount. DO NOT use this cab if you want to arrive at your destination on time!

I work at a restaurant/​bar and sometimes patrons ask me to call a cab for them. I called yesterday and the disbatcher was extremely rude. She acted like my phone call was an inconvenience to her. The person I was calling for changed their mind and when I tried to (politely) apologize she hung up on me mid sentence. I will not use this company in the future for my personal or professional use.

I see a lot of mixed reviews for these guys but for us they were excellent. Needed a cab to sfo at 5 am. Driver came exactly on time, helped with the bags and then hustled us to Bart to make the train. I can’t complain! I will use them again.

Worst experience I have ever had. I was out in Danville last Thursday and my phone was taken. I used the where is my Iphone app to locate it and finally figured out that a Yellow Cab driver named Moe had it. He basically held my phone hostage all day Friday. He would not let me come and pick it up and when he finally drove it to the place he told me to meet him. He demanded $ 50 before he would give it back. The cab driver’s number is 925−979−5057 and he goes by the name of Moe. Extremely shady guy.

No Bueno. Called 45min ahead to schedule a cab. She said «No problem. We will be there.» 5min after the scheduled time I called back and it was as if she had forgotten about us, but when I gave her all of the reservation info again, she said he will be right there. 10 min later I called and she said the same thing so I told her we were going to start walking towards our destination and to have them stop to get the crazy people waving in the street (middle of the night so there was no one else in the street). I hear her radio that to all the cars. A yellow cab of walnut creek passes us waving in the street. I call the company back. She radios the guy to tell him to turn around and says «he will be right there.» AGAIN. Another Yellow cab comes and picks us up. Meanwhile, the lady and the first cab are still on the radio talking about needing to pick us up.
However, the driver was very nice and had just come on the shift so he just got thrown into the mess. He said that when you make a reservation, they are good at being there on time…

Beware of using Yellow Cab of Walnut Creek if you intend to pay using a credit card! I was fraudently charged $ 18.75 from my office to my apartment in Walnut Creek. The charge should have been $ 8.75 because it’s a five-​minute drive.

used this company the other day to get home from the store. he took the route I wanted and then gave me a 10% senior discount. helped with the groceries and
was really nice.

I called and the taxi took 30mins to come, I called at the 20mins ask where my taxi was the guy was rude enough to say it hasn’t been that long why would they try and be rude

Been using Yellow Cab in Walnut Creek for over a year now and they have never disappointed. Drivers are punctual (usually arrive 5 – 10 minutes before requested time), they phone you upon arrival, are friendly, and overall they run a highly efficient service.

Generally pretty good, show up a little faster than the operator says, and get you there fine. Know the streets pretty well. However, sometimes, like when you are late to a family event and then to pick up a date for a wedding and need a ride, they proceed to ignore you and show up 40+ minutes late. Then there are the times that the operator just keeps telling you they are three blocks away, for 90 minutes, yes 90 minutes, and they never show.
Basically, if they are not there within 5 minutes of when they said they would be, call again, and also call another company, because you might be waiting a long long time.

Called them several times in a day and each time I was told to wait for 10 to 20 minutes. The cab never came. Rude staff…

Would I order it again?
Yes. I have absolutely no complaints. It was easy to book. The driver came on time. The driver was capable enough where I never felt endangered for my life. We arrived at the airport on time, and it was easy to pay using credit card. I don’t know if I got lucky or not, but I would definitely use Yellow Cab of Walnut Creek again.

I don’t really know how useful Unilocal is for finding a cab so I did a google search and went to the wc yellow cab website before calling them to set up my ride to the airport. The guy on the phone was fine, I set up a taxi to arrive at my apartment at 7am the next day.
I am always early. If I were a cab driver I would always arrive early. I guess most people are not this way and are actually either on time or late. So I was waiting outside the building at 6:45 with my bags. My cab arrived at 7:00am exactly. I can’t complain about this because this is when I asked for him to arrive, but you know, it’s me.
Regardless, my cab driver was extremely nice and a lot of fun to talk to. We got into all sorts of topics including politics and parenting and it was an enjoyable ride. I don’t mind talking to cab drivers when they are intelligent and not creepy and this guy was both.
I give them three stars because what can you really tell about a cab company from one cab ride? Plus, I feel like «yay I’m a fan» isn’t an emotion I associate towards taxis :)

As a bartender at a Danville restaurant, I called Yellow Cab of Walnut Creek after I saw one of their cabs drive by. Sadly I’d been waiting over an hour for another company to show up. Had I known how kind and helpful they’d be, I’d have called here first.
The driver I saw promptly turned around and came to pick up my customer. He and I very briefly chatted, but he has kind, and sympathetic to my earlier misfortune.
I’m only giving four stars because I cannot attest to their timeliness in typical situations where I driver isn’t in the area, but based on what I experienced, I’m sure it would be much better than any other local options.
