This place is closed. The number is disconnected. their food was amazing… but they had horrible service and no warning about closing down.

Went here around 11:30 on my lunch break. Open sign is on but doors are locked, with employees just walking around doing nothing. No hours posted at either door but according to Unilocal they’re open from 9 am to 9 pm. I tried calling them and got no answer. I work costumer service and they apparently have non whatsoever. Guess I’ll never get to try their food…

The super tacos with everything on it are the best… but no menudo here… Which is my favorite.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and ended up waiting over 35 minutes before getting my simple order. The staff is kind but cannot seem to get orders right and I had to constantly ask them for my food/drinks. Definitely not worth the wait.

Taqueria Mexican Grill was a fallback since the ramen place wasn’t open. and veggie grill had a long line. menu: standard mexican menu except every ingredient included in the taco/burrito varies the price: so skipped the sauce, cheese, sour cheese, etc. eats: al pastor burrito, original(5.65) –average size burrito, mostly tender meat, even the gristle! –sauce ok, ingredients fresh, value so so. take outs: –noticed eat-ins get chips and salsa not a chip fan so no chips for take outs doesn’t faze me –took a while for food to appear, food cooked to order. –no salsa bar, just a plate with hot sauce. –just mainstream meats, no lengua, tripe, cabeza. 3.4 stars

I visited this location for the first time with a friend of mine on a Monday evening around 6pm. The hours say 9am-9pm however they told us they were closing and would allow us to order to-go only. The cashier seemed very irritated with us and was not eager to answer any of our questions about the menu. Our order was simple, we just wanted some good chicken tacos. She was very short and didn’t give info on the food so we just decided to try the«street tacos» which came out pretty good. Decent, authentic tasting food at a fairly reasonable price and poor customer service is what you can expect at this place. Not bad for a quick stop but I have surely experienced better.

Stopped by for a quick dinner in between shopping. The cashier lady had a little attitude while I explained my order… it’s not like they were hella busy, we were the only ones there at the time. The cook was a lot nicer than the cashier lady. The restaurant was plenty of seating and has two large flat panel televisions. What was interesting was the every napkin dispenser on every table was empty and there was no soap or paper towels in the restroom. Rather walk further up the street to something else.

This place just isn’t that great. The food is pretty americanized, so the best you could get here is a «fish taco». In general, the food is just OK. The prices are pretty high, and service is slow. When I came in, they even spoke english behind the counter. I guess the name should have been telling… who calls a mexican restaurant simply«taqueria» One thing that *could* be a plus for this place is that the dining room is pretty big. If you had a group of 10 or more, you wouldn’t have a hard time getting everyone into one area. If you did do this, there may be some savvy locals that would smuggle burritos from the more«authentic» joint across the street.

I’ve been here 2 times and each time I’ve never been let down. The carne asada burrito is really good and the hot sauce they have is amazing. They’re really quick making the food and staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend this place to others.

This is hands down the best taqueria in W.C. Our favorites are the Chile Relleno plate/burrito or Giant Shrimp anything. The service is quick and prices are reasonable. Posting in the garage across the street is free for the first hour and is much easier than searching for street parking.

Been back to this location many times since my initial review. Had nothing but 100% positive experience in terms of food and service.(+1 star) Best burrito in downtown Walnut Creek. Still a bit pricy.

Wow! Some of the best tacos I’ve had in the Bay Area. The Super Tacos, I had the shrimp al diabla and the grilled tilapia with the al diabla sauce on it, so frickin good! The waiter was nice, food came out pretty quick, fresh chips, really good! Only wish they had a hotter salsa but a hot bowl of the al diabla sauce would have been perfect with the chips. Décor? Who cares! It’s the food that counts and we liked everything we had

First time eating here. Not a fancy restaurant, very casual and relaxed atmosphere. Service was very good and the fish diabla or shrimp diabla are some of the best tacos I’ve ever had! If we’re ever in the area again we will definitely come here again! Viva la raza!

Reluctantly dropping a star, down to 3, although I still think they serve the best fish tacos in the area. Been back on occasion to try other things on their menu, and none were as impressive as their fish tacos. They’ll still have my business for the excellent customer service, ambiance, and my go to fish tacos.

Im surprised this place stays in buisness. First off the menu is horrible… what the heck is California style… Pico style… and the other 3 or 4 options of tacos? Make it easy for your customers… What type of meat and what toppings. Done. So I ordered a super taco that cost me $ 7. The taco sucked! I knew it was gonna be bad when the guy asked me if I wanted a fork!!! Who in the hell eats a taco with a fork!!! I declined the fork. As soon as I got in my car and drove off I opened my taco and tried to pick it up and eat it and the whole thing fell apart. please note that the time it took me to walk out to my car and drive off was no longer then 5min. (Yes, I can eat and drive, handles!) So I was forced to scoop up the meat with the chips. Not something I wanted to do since Im on a diet. Guess this was a sign not to eat Mexican food, expecially venture out and try new places.

Nice decoration… and that’s about it. I went there to grab a quick bite a few nights ago with a couple friends of mine. We got there just after 5:00pm and found the place to be near empty. To me, it was a bad sign even though it was an early dinner. Since we were in somewhat of a hurry, we quickly placed our order. I got the super pork burrito($ 8.75) and a fountain drink while my friends got a couple different combo plates. Even though the place was empty, it took them more than 15 minutes to have our food ready. My super burrito, much to my dismay, was more like a child-size burrito. It was so tiny that I finished the thing in four bites! The overall taste was really bland. Also, the chips and salsa that came with the meal were also subpar. The chips had a weird taste to them and the salsa was also lacking in taste. It was a very disappointing meal. If you want good Mexican food, skip Walnut Creek and go to Concord. There are many good spots there. I will not go back to this place again.

I have wanted to try this place for some time. I finally got a chance to eat lunch here on a recent Sunday afternoon. I had fish tacos with rice and beans. It was all a al carte. I thought that was a bit odd, but whatev. Also, you are asked to pay extra for cheese. Wow. How about trying to bake the coat of cheese into your prices so you don’t alienate your diners? That was a real turn-off for me. I thought the tacos were really good. The beans and rice could be punched up a bit. But, I would go back for the tacos! The service was good. A young guy who was friendly and responsive.

I have a very noticeable double standard in Mexican food. The first is my real standard, which involves me craving Mexican food, and it better be good. The second is my «I am drunk and it is late and where the hell can I get a freaking burrito???» standard. Taco Bell passes this standard if nothing else is open. So does Jack In The Box. Somehow, Taqueria Mexican Grill does not. I walked by, saw they are open super late on weekends, and a few weeks later, a couple of us stumbled in. The food was so bad I didn’t even eat it, even though for the same amount I could have Grande Comboed the hell out of my night at T Bell. I will never go back, and have had people start to ask about it as I cut them off screaming«NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO»
