Update: it seems like there are fewer cashiers and sometimes it takes a while to get checked out. It can be very inconvenient. I still like the pharmacy.

This store was conveniently located close to where I was at though it seemed a bit hard to see or find from the road if you weren’t specifically looking for a drug store. They were pretty much empty so I was quickly in and out with my purchase. The service was nice, which I guess that you’d expect since I was the only customer.

I took a prescription into the pharmacy. The clerk and the pharmacist couldn’t read it clearly. They faxed John Muir’s ER department. The doctor who wrote the prescription wasn’t on duty. None of the other doctors wanted to authorize the prescription.(I wasn’t happy about that either but that’s another review.) After many, many phone calls back and forth(mostly by me), I finally gave up. I took the prescription to the CVS pharmacy on California later that evening. They had no problem reading the doctor’s writing although they said it was a little worse than average. Bottom line: I wasted at least half a day trying to get the prescription filled at Rite Aid. I filled it no problem later that evening at CVS. I know where I’ll go next time.
