Pretty classy. It’s just a bar. Not much to it. One of the better spots in Walnut Creek if you can get a seat. If not, you’re 100% standing in someone’s way.

This place is pretty nice. Had a girlfriend take me to this place a couple of times after we would grab food, the first time was when it was kind of slow but the service was really good even on there busy nights. Bartenders seem to be really sweet an nice the owner is really nice too.

Great place for a casual drink, food and fun. Good food, had tacos and quesadilla. great cocktail(cosmopolitan and a mix of things) great service. Chip is the best! Plus he’s easy on the eyes. I will be coming back !! Had a great time. Thanks Chip for making it a great night for my sister and I before our show.

Wanted to try this place. Labor Day I dropped by at 4:14PM and the doors were locked. No sign out front. Emails sent several days before remain unanswered. Two phone calls rolled immediately to VoiceMail, and also remain unanswered. Has this place closed for good?

Bartenders have no idea what they’re doing. Was with a group of ~10 people a couple weeks ago and NONE of the drinks we ordered were made properly. I’m talking basic drinks here, nothing over the top. I asked for an old fashioned and ended up with whiskey in orange juice from the soda gun. My friend ordered a martini and ended up with what was basically a gin and juice. Really. Odd mix of people, from the over-drunk and likely underage girls to the mid-30s swagbros wearing TAPOUT and Affliction tees it’s a wonder why anyone would voluntarily go to this place. Trashy. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs.

This place is okay. The couches are comfy so if you get there before the crowd arrives you can snag a spot. The music is typical. Drinks are reasonable if you get there during happy hour. The crowd was mixed — lots of birthdays that night. What was really bothersome was that they had porta potties for bathrooms. Luckily, I didn’t have to go but even still. They must’ve had construction or something. Maybe they’re trying to save water. For a lounge that has a bar, it’s an odd thing to have. I dunno if I’d go back here unless it was early and we were moving on to another place. It was just a hot mess all around.

Fun for drinks, hanging out for a Friday or Saturday night. I actually have had my birthday party here a couple of times(since I hate taking bart back to the east bay from the city on a Saturday night, lol). The bartenders on Saturday night can pour some really strong drinks. $ 14 for a sprite/vodka and margarita. One of my favorite reasons for this place was the music on Saturday night. Dj Slammin Sam plays some super great mixes and actually will play a requested song… without having to wait the whole night. I was here last Friday and was told that the cops don’t want them to have a DJ anymore… I hope that isn’t true. it was a great spot to dance without having to worry about too many creepers. Management – please say it isn’t so! I want the Dj! :)

Horrible place! The bartender tried to rip us off and the bathroom was a dump, this place was just run down and music reminds you of a cheesy wanna be club. They literally kicked us out at 12:30 and just grabbed my husbands drink from his hand, that he had just ordered. Will never visit this place again, what a trashy place!

Pass by this bar all the time and never wanted to go in because it just looks trashy. Went this past weekend because a friend was having a birthday thing. Never ever going back. This place is awful. It’s your typical Walnut Creek wannabe«upscale» bar. Filled with the frat-bro-for-life type guys in their late 20s-early 30s and girls who are too drunk to stand on their own. Girl bartender on Saturday had no idea what she was doing. I ordered a whiskey sour, it was alright, pretty watered down though. My boyfriend ordered an Old Fashioned, she poured a shot of whiskey and then filled the rest of the glass up with orange juice… really? What kind of bartender doesn’t know how to make an Old Fashioned? One side of the place was the bar and the other was a line of couches, not sure if they’re trying to do a VIP/bottle service type thing with that, but it was nice that they had a lot of seating. Oh, but you can smell the bathrooms that are in the back even when you’re all the way at the front of the bar. Thank god my friend wanted to leave after having a drink, that was more than I could handle with that place.

It was my birthday celebration so we decided to keep it local(as in not trek to the city) and go to Lift for drinks. We had reserved bottle service($ 199 for couch and bottle) in advance and decided to come earlier at 7pm to take advantage of their social hour(during this time most drinks are $ 4 each, and $ 5 plates). Social hour runs from 6pm-9pm. Jasmine was our server and bartender. Wow we drank and drank off the social menu and forgot we had a bottle coming! LOL! At 9pm we asked for our Belvedere bottle and it was delivered promptly by Jasmine with our mixers. Décor is modern and hip. Place gets pretty packed starting at 930pm. DJ starts setting up around that time too. Since it’s not a club you basically see people bopping their heads. All of us girls had fun and wow, that bottle of vodka was hard to drink after all those social hour drinks! It’s the costco size! We made it work. Nice looking young walnut creek crowd. nuff said! Cons: Bathroom is not the cleanest smelling. There are only 2 unisex bathrooms. When we walked in and sat on our couch I actually could smell the bathroom from where we were sitting. On of the bathrooms had a candle but I think it needed more than that like a Frebreeze plug in! Couches are not the most comfiest. It’s hard to sit lady like in those things! Too soft and if you try and get up(wearing a skirt) throw a napkin over your legs.

HAPPYHOURSLIDERS! The good: –SLIDERS! these are the best sliders ever! usually sliders are small, dry, and uninteresting. not the ones here! its done medium rare, tender, juicy, and has all kinds of good stuff mixed in there like caramelized onion, basil, habenero jack, it was just DELICIOUS! for $ 6 on a wednesday night we got a slider plus a heaping amount of fries AND a happy hour drink, which they make strong! how can you go wrong? — Quesadilla was super cheesy and super good, especially with the tomato inside. The meh: — carne asada tacos were dry, bland, and cardboard like — 2 of the guys at our table did not enjoy the pitcher of hef I would certainly come back for the #1 and #4 sliders, they were just too good.

Best happy hour in Walnut Creek! I come only for happy hour because it gets really douchey at night(but so does the rest of DT Walnut Creek). Also, their salads are gross. But I will still give them 5 stars because I just love hanging out here. Their sliders, wings, fries, etc… are great for greasy bar food. they have great, attentive service. They have unbeatable happy hour deals and mix up some great drinks. I love coming here with coworkers or friends. During happy hour the music isn’t too loud. it’s a great place to just relax on the couches. it truly is a lounge! I’ve been to almost every happy hour in Walnut Creek and lift takes the cake!

This place is a bit shoddy, like parts of it need to be updated from the 1980s and other parts are oddly modern. The place is a little too divey for my taste, morning breakfast or evening hangout. Whoever did their website took great pictures and is great at branding/design because their website looked a lot fancier than the place turned out to be in person. The TVs were turned on, but the DirectTV logo was floating around on the screen and that’s all there was to see. We went for their Living Social deal for brunch buffet, which was just 5 items(eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, eggs with chopped beef) cooked on the grill behind the bar and put onto burners with a mimosa. I could’ve gone to the grocery store and made the same. You could say service was decent, the guys behind the counters seemed nice, but I never directly interacted with them.

Everyone was friendly and the drinks were good but the ambiance was well… not me. I wouldn’t call my self a snob but this was too much of a dive for me. and It was cold — almost like a constant draft was blowing in from the back. There are too many great places to have a drink(Cypress and Olé) I won’t be coming back.

Great happy hour! The appetizers are so good! Try the sliders! Drinks are strong and only range from $ 5-$ 12, which isnt bad. The bartenders are extremely friendly, the owner actually sat with us at our booth and talked about the place and how, pretty chill guy. Came here on a Tuesday night which was surprisingly packed. Good music, good food, good drinks, and there’s even a photobooth in the back!

Ah Lift Lounge. You know what I like about you the MOST? Those sliders you serve there. It’s almost… out of the ordinary, but that is some pretty decent grub. Couple that with whatever drink specials there are on whatever particular night, and you’ve got a pretty decent thing going. I really wish you were more of a restaurant. That about covers the good at this place. What I don’t like so very much? Hmm, well, it’s just so darn full of people that are in pre-hit up the club mode. And I don’t see any of these folks eating either! They’re just all standing around, getting their pre-club buzz on. It makes sitting down to enjoy some sliders kinda awkward. Especially when i’m all dressed as my bummy self while they’re all dressed… for the club. But… i’m almost sure this place isn’t a club! I dunno, just something about all these peeps standing around… there is something that is bothersome about it. I wish I could put it into words. Oh, another upside: the bartenders are pretty friendly. They’ll take your food order pretty quickly and they know how to make most drinks. Sliders and a tom collins, that’s a pretty nice meal. But yeah, that’s about all. I wouldn’t go out of my way to head here for a bite. The above psuedo-paragraph pretty much sums up that experience. Sorry this is a short review, but there’s not too much else I can say about this place. Nice, but could be way better.

I heart you Lift! Went for Thirsty Thursday and could not have been more pleased. Sexy low lighting and lots of comfy couches. Staff was super friendly, but the best part are the prices. $ 3 happy hours cocktails until closing, what??? My drink of choice for the evening was the sparkling wine, not too dry and I didn’t awake with a headache the following morning. One slider for $ 2, what??? These sliders are larger than most, although I didn’t order the slider my mouth watered every time I saw one go by. I opted for the chicken quesadilla, it was filling and was served with sour cream, salsa, and a verde sauce. As the night progressed, as did the sparkling wines, I noticed the crowd becoming a little younger. I can’t see myself going to Lift on a Friday or Saturday evening, but this is most definitely my new weekday, after work, happy hour spot.

I took one look at this place after it opened and immediately swore I’d never go in there, fearing it was going to become the next Krogan’s of Walnut Creek. The façade and(as I later discovered) interior are designed with that quintessential lounge-y, modern, mood-lit polish that never fails to draw the smattering of bro-hos and Jersey-shore wannabes every city possesses in one form or another. Howeverrrrr… while there are indeed some Ed-Hardy and Affliction aficionados floating around(especially on the weekends,) the place has a decent amount class, stiff drinks, and a fun vibe(the music wasn’t terrible either– though a bit loud). Bring a friend or three and enjoy the ambiance and comfy couches, it’s worth checking out.
One of the better places for Walnut Creek nightlife! For various reasons Great atmosphere — it’s not ghetto like Crogans, it’s not too flashy like Redox, it’s just the right amount of classy and chill that it’s a perfect spot to go if you want to eat, drink, hit on an attractive huba huba(in my case, the bartender LOL), or all the above. Best thing of all(in my opinion), they place HOUSEMUSIC +1 +1 +1 Great prices — Happy hour. I went on Thursday and they had $ 3 beers, wine, well drinks. ALLNIGHT! wait, ACTUALLY, maybe I should double check with this cute bartender new friend of mine if that’s really true LOL. But Monday — Wednesday $ 5 for burger, fries, and a drink from 5−9pm. This is also awesome because I get off work in walnut creek at 7pm and never go out because most happy hour deals end at 7. but not lift lounge! +1 We checked out other places in walnut creek. tiki tom’s, crogans, redox, they were all mehh. So we came back to lift lounge and had a great time. Yeah we were the only two asians in there(majority caucasian) but hey, makes us stand out right? ;) Enjoy!
