Ka Cheung, MD – Respiratory Medical Group

2 visits and 2 of my worst ever Dr. appts. She’s extremely rude, talks down to patients, was mean to me (her patient), yelled at her staff about her computer not working, rushed me out. I started to tell her to about my struggle with a CPAP mask and she cut me off saying «I know». So I said, «how would you know if i didn’t tell you??». She commented back that other patients have problems so «she knows». I said «you don’t know because I didn’t get my chance to tell you» but she was stubborn and ignored me. NOT a very compassionate doctor at all, which should be required for patients who are sleep deprived and ill. She also referred me to an «Out of Network’ medical equipment provider without disclosing that to me, then she denied that she referred me anywhere! Lastly, she billed for long, comprehensive appointments when she actually spent 30 minutes at the most and about 5 minutes on the 2^nd appointment since her computer wasn’t working and she couldn’t type any notes in. She said her scheduling manager would call me in the next day or two to schedule another appointment. That was 3 months ago! HORRIBLE patient experience & customer experience.

As a septuagenarian I have seen many doctors over the years. Dr Cheung ranks right at the top of my group of physicians. She’s always right on time and listens carefully to what I have to say. She handles two of my conditions and actually diagnosed another condition that my other doctors had overlooked. How great is that?! My son, who is also a physician, will soon call himself a patient of Dr Cheung.
