My Lenovo X220 died — or better said, it’s fan system broke down. A fan is something I’ve replaced myself but evidently this laptop was designed by someone who had undergone several lobotomies — the fan is welded to the motherboard. Yeah, I know — dumber than a box of rocks. I called around several advertised computer repair shops specializing in Lenovo. My calls were generally answered by a (I imagine) gum-​chewing, 20 year-​old, emo-​styled air-​head who had no idea about computers or their moving parts and who all basically said, drop your unit off, we cannot tell you how much or how long on the phone (even though this MUST be a standard fix) and they charge $ 125 an hour with no cap.
Coleman’s crew were professional, refreshingly helpful, willing to give a rough estimate, willing to give a time frame and were willing to offer options. My laptop has come back — it took 4 days longer than expected but this was no fault of theirs (Lenovo had run out of bits) and the cost was within the predicted amount. The service is excellent, polite and helpful. Thank you!
