The food was delicious. Being the only one in the restaurant though was a very odd thing. However the service was good and the older waitress seemed to just let me enjoy my meal checking on me at the right times. I wish it had more customers to kill the one person In The restaurant awkwardness.

AMAZINGFOOD, seriously amazing. I don’t think I’ve had better more satisfying food ever anywhere. but the service… absolutely terrible. There’s this older lady with blond hair, she’s terrible. Wow. she must not enjoy tips. We ask her what her favorite thing on the menu is– she says, «i don’t know» We ask her what the taste difference between a fried and a boiled kelbasi is she says, «they’re the same» We ask what her favorite desert is, she says«i don’t like the desert» okayy… then it takes forever to get the bill, forever to PAY the bill and nobody checked up on us the entire time we sat there. I’ve been here twice, and twice the same lady served me. TERRIBLE both times, but that food man… that food.

Krakus is my first Polish cuisine experience, and I think it could’ve been better. I like Polish cuisine in general, but this can’t be the best one around Bergen County. My boyfriend’s dad is Polish, and he said this one is the most authentic one around. When we came, it was all empty and we were the only customers. The waitress(look like a young high school girl) was wearing sweater and jeans, but quickly changed into her uniforms after she seated us. I ordered the Polish platter which has stuffed cabbage, kielbasa, saurkraut, pierogies, and potato pancakes. The platter is enough to feed two, really. Since we were theonly ones, the waitress awkwardly checked on us literally every minute if everything is ok.

This is the worst restaurant to have parties in. Don’t have your parties at this place they will rip you off at the end. It happen to me and some people I know that had parties there.

On a whim my bf stopped here with a polish friend one day and brought me home dinner… he brought me stuffed cabbage, fried chicken cutlet and a pork cutlet … The stuffed cabbage was awesome. The chicken cutlet was very tasty and to be honest I couldnt tell the difference between the chicken and pork cutlet. He brought home a lot of food for only $ 13! Next time I will try the peirogis .I loveeeeee a good peroigi Omfg.

i’m very surprised that this place has a 4 star rating. I work in this polish town and there is definitely better polish food served in this town. The food was just ok. We tried the pierogies, beet soup, stuffed cabbaged, and chicken cutlet sandwich. Nothing was spectacular. Also, it was $ 3 for a soda which was flat and gross. There was a bug on the napkin, and the service wasnt that great. The waitress seemed annoyed that we wanted to put two amounts on a credit card. It’s a shame that we didnt have a good experience b/c its so close to our job, and we would have came more often. The décor was also outdated. Overall, we did not enjoy it, and would not come back again.

Excellent food — inexpensive — fun to share… these are among my favorite things. The food is great — if you’ve ever made perogies then you appreciate the work. They are packages of joy wrapped in a soft dough(and I’m crazy for them fried). The stuffed cabbage is excellent and the soups are great — only warning — bring a big appetite! Let me know when your going — I want to go too.

Went to Krakus last night for some Polish Food and I was pretty pleased with the food. Inexpensive but good. Some of the things ordered: Mushroom soup — thin but tons of mushrooms on the bottom of the bowl which added texture.($ 3) Pea soup — filled with beans and kielbasa — very meaty and hearty.($ 3) My parents both had the sauerkraut piergoies that they could have shared. You get about 10 an order and they come boiled but you can request fried.($ 7.50) We also ordered a few Polish plates(under $ 12) that come with 3 pierogies — 2 potato and one meat. The potato pierogi was surprisingly light and the meat was adequate. The plate also included a big piece of kielbasa over sauerkraut which was good and a piece of stuffed cabbage. The stuffed cabbage was a little full with little taste but it wasn’t awful. Lastly, the plate came with two potato pancakes which were very good. The ambiance was nothing fancy, cheap fake flower centerpieces and set up for banquets. Overall the place is worth a try and the food will not disappoint you.

Awesome authentic Polish food! This is the place to go for real deal Polish cuisine. You don’t really go here for the décor, or even the atmosphere, you go here strictly for the awesome & authentic Polish food! The waitresses are friendly and the cooks make the food in a very home-style manner. It tastes exactly like something someone’s mother or grandmother would make. They also do small parties and events such as christenings, birthdays, etc.

This restaurant gets from me 5 stars for being the best«hole-in-the-wall-with great food». The place is long and large. Tables are placed at a distance from each other. The waitress-hostess is super friendly and very personable. We found it by accident and now it is one of our favorite low key places. The portions are large. We tried there combination Polish platters with kielbasy, bigos, potato pancakes and pierogies. Stuffed cabbage is good too. Borsch is very«home style». Often I see there families with kids and kids have lots of room to play after their tummys get full. Décor is «last century» with old fashioned furniture and plastic flowers-very authentic. Waitress also cooks the food and treats kids like her grand kids especially when it comes to desserts. You can not beat that! The first time we came there she did not know how to make a Black Russian, but she let us to help ourselves at the bar and learned how to do this and next time she remembered. Their menu is in English and Polish. The waitress patiently explains the dishes to Americans and it is never a miss. There is always plenty of leftovers to take home and we continue the feast next day at home. I highly recommend it.

Best part of going recently was watching my 3-year old prove you could drink/eat an entire(big) bowl of chicken noodle soup through a straw. Besides that — the place was clean and busy which is a good sign. The food? I got the ‘Polish Platter’ and some of it was good and some not-as-good. My mother-in-law(straight from Gdansk) does it better(and I earned some major brownie points when I told her so). But you can’t go wrong with a mountain of food for under $ 15.

If you want home cooked Polish food in a nice little restaurant, this is the place. Their menu has many home-made polish soups such as Barley Mushroom, Kapusta(Sauerkraut) soup and my all time favorite, Beet Borscht. They have many authentic polish main meals but my favorite is the Polish Platter which consists of Stuufed Cabbage(Golumpki), Potatio Pancakes, Polish Hunters Stew(Kielbasi, mushrooms and kraut) and some peirogi’s. The meal also comes with polish rye bread. I personally love their food. Their pricing is very fair and you will leave full. Comfort food at it’s best. They also have affairs there such as birthdays, etc where you can rent the restaurant…
