Stella Pizza is AMAZING! I don’t know how Cindy & Jo Jo do it! This is my favorite pizza in CT! All the meals are amazing and have huge portions for the unbeatable prices! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Good pizza and food. A little pricey but the food is worth it. You won’t go wrong with eating a meal at this place

It took me for 45 minutes to pick up one large cheese pizza! They did not even sincerely apologize to me.

I live in Las Vegas but I have family in central Connecticut. Every time I go home to visit I have a list of places to eat that I must go to — Stella’s is one of them. Good consistent food — VERY friendly family like atmosphere and GREAT garlic bread. Hey I live in the city that has some of the best restaurants in the world but the pizza here is nowhere as good as Stella’s.

I love a doughy thicker crust pizza and that’s what we get here! Loaded with cheese and toppings, never skimpy! The absolute best garlic bread and while I’m not a big soda drinker, her fountain soda is the best! Soups are always great and they have my absolute favorite afredo sauce! We often offer to pick up from here than get delivery from somewhere else because it’s that good. No delivery is the only downfall. Very friendly staff!

I hate to do this but this place belongs on Restaurant Impossible. The food was borderline disgusting. My salad was dressed in balsamic vinegar and nothing else. The tomato sauce was the stuff you can get out of a can and it took 50 minutes for our pizza to arrive. It was not any better. The crust was really thick and burnt with no flavor. This was one of the worst Italian places I’ve had. The only redeeming quality was the staff was SO Nice. I feel bad to giving this place such a bad review but it was seriously not good. :/I have no idea how this place is rated four stars on Unilocal

This is always the choice when the urge for pizza hits home! But I have also enjoyed the hot grinder and other delicious menu items. Every Time I stop in for a meal I get a warm and friendly greeting from all behind the counter. I always order my take out at the counter and wait with a glass of wine, the order is always ready when I finish my glass and ready to go. That way I take home the freshest and greatest dinner to my loved ones Hooray for Stella, I am always a fan!

I grew up in Wallingford, and always thought Stells’a was one of the best pizzas in town– and that’s saying a lot, there are a ton of good pizza restaurants in town. But a recent re-visit to Stella’s confirmed it for me! Just as good as any place in New Haven, excellent, friendly service and an excellent value. Shine on, Stella’s!

This was weird. When I am craving any type of food, it al ost always includes cilantro, beans, rice, tomatoes, and jalapeño. So, I’m home alone, watching the news, and, seemingly out of nowhere, I must have fettuccine Alfredo. I’ve made this dish many times, but it’s never been my favorite. I’m not a huge cheesie and always order pizza, «light on the mozz». The combo of noodles, cream, butter, parmesan isnt high on my list of faves, but, I HAD to have fettuccini Alfredo that evening. Nothing else would do. We’re in the midst of moving. My kitchen is packed to go, hence. I couldn’t make the dinner myself. Who ya gonna call? Call Stella! So, I did. The dinner came with soup or salad, and garlic bread. I opted for salad, and asked for warm bread withour garlic. I don’t like garlic. Yeah, I know. Everyone loves garlic and I’m weird, but I don’t like garlic. Sorry. Twenty minutes later, I’m already home with my heavenly dinner in front of me. The pasta itself was so delicate and thin that it melted in the mouth. This, dear folks, is not the cheater’s Alfredo– in– a– jar variety. The Alfredo sauce is the real deal, and the flavor palette was sweet cream, Parmesan sharp and smooth, buttery, perfectly seasoned with the perfect saltiness, and pepper. Simple, authentic, sublime, and a portion enough for me, my daughter, and lunch the next day for the two of us. I am bold enough to say that this was the best Fettucini Alfredo I’d ever eaten. The salad was a generous blend of mixed greens, grape tomato, sweet onion, green and black olives. The dressing came in a ¼ cup container of, I’m assuming, house made balsamic vinegrette Very, very nice.

I’ve been going to Stella’s for the past 13 Years and have always had a great meal with no complaints. The owner Cindy is so nice and always greets you when you walk in. When she’s not too busy she will walk the dining room and say hello. The food is like your Italian mother would make. It’s not commercialized and is fresh. Some of my favorites are the chicken parm, fried mozz, steak n cheese sub, and the hamburg soup. You really need to try the hamburg soup, it’s exceptional however isn’t offered daily so call ahead to see if they have it. The pizza is really good as well. If you enjoy mom and pop kind of places, I highly recommend Stella Pizza.

Stella’s lost my business due to their nazi-like attitude over sharing parking spaces. Focus more on your food and then you won’t have to worry about parking.

I’ll make this short because you’re likely not sure what pizza place you should order. Pizza isn’t the best, it’s good. The wait times and pickup times are phenom, even on a Friday it’s always less than 20 minutes for a pizza. Not my first place to go to but not my last either. The soup is incredible, that’s what I go for. The hamburger soup is so tasty. The staff is super personable and friendly. Solid joint.

I like the food and the feel. Not the best bathrooms in CT, but who cares, the owner kept us laughing. Walked out full and smiling.

My first and last order. I usually go to Napoli, but I’ve been passing this place for years and said to myself, ok, tonight’s the night. Bad move. Ordered lasagna. When I arrived to pick it up the female owner was very nice, introduced herself and talked about her ‘specials’. We agreed that the best specials were chef’s choice-dependent on what’s fresh in the market, etc. She told me that is how she does it and to call ahead next time to see what’s on special. I agreed and told her I am quite a cook myself, but order lasagna out because it’s such a pain to make at home. She nodded in agreement and said she makes ‘roll ups’ herself, and I assumed she was referring to her cooking at HOME not the restaurant! I just got home and opened the $ 11.00 ‘lasagna’ to find out it is literally 3 strips of lasagna pasta, smeared with a minute bit of ricotta, ground beef and acidic, thick ‘sauce’. On top was some overcooked dried mozzarella. Hell, I could have done this myself, and it would have tasted better too. This is NOT lasagna. It is a crude, quick way to overcharge for what we all know is a pain to assemble– a baked layered casserole dish. That’s why I pay someone else to make it. Next time there is no beating Napoli, I totally wasted my money here. If you sell ‘roll ups’ PRINTITONTHEMENUCORRECTLY. See pics-after I took a measly ½ cup serving(one ‘roll up’), what you see are the rest-1.5 of them.

I eat here all the time. They know our faces and consider us regulars. I don’t like that you have to order a basket of bread. I think that should be free, but I digress. I love their pizza. It is always served piping hot and delicious. The only disappointment I have is with their buffalo chicken pizza. I don’t like the way that it is presented or how it tastes. For a better buffchick pizza, check out Hometown. Overall, I like this place. Sometimes there are small hiccups(a dirty glass or a table not entirely cleaned) but they are politely and quickly fixed.

This is my favorite«neighborhood pizza place» in the area. What you get are fair prices, good ingredients, friendly service, attentive staff, a damn fine pizza, and no deliveries. I’ve been coming here off and on for years, and I’ll keep stopping in when I’m in town. The Good: Great Crust, Good Sauce, and excellent toppings. I’ve never felt like they’ve skimped on anything, and I’ve always gotten a good pizza. Also, their Pizza Pops are the best around. Full of cheese and whatever toppings you want, these things are huge and filling and delicious. The Bad: Nothing really. The Ugly: The décor needs updating. Seriously, the dining area should be stripped down from the carpet to the paint on the walls, and the furniture replaced.
