I have been working in Wallingford for 2 years. Have tried most of the restaurants in the area. By far the best pizza is Napoli. Not even a close second in my book. Great service, quick, clean, top quality ingredients. It all adds up to a great meal.

This was a regular spot for my family as a kid so it kind of set the standard for me as far as Italian Food, and when I moved away to California, I was disappointed that I could not find anything like it. The Calzones are huge with and excellent ricotta, and really great marinara sauce (on the side for me)! They have a nice Antipasto, and the Manicotti and are excellent. I always found the atmosphere to be friendly and it is just a really cozy place to have a family dinner. My go to for pizza is always a extra cheese, and the crust is always crisp and a little charred on the outside and chewy in the middle, as I think a good brick oven pizza should be! Since the place has been owned by the same family for as long as I can remember, the food has stayed reliably consistent for the 30+ years I have been enjoying it.

The food is very good here and I love their sauce, but the downfall to coming here is the poor wait staff. Twice I have eaten here and had nothing to drink with my dinner. Other times I find myself having to flag down any waiter to get something else I need. They are very curt and inattentive and it’s a shame since their food is so good.

We were craving some Italian-​American food and Napoli Pizza seemed to fit the bill. There was a bit of a wait, even on a weeknight, so this place is popular. We were offered a sample of the stuffed bread while we waited. I was glad we got to try it because other Unilocaler talk about it so much, but in that sample, I thought it was really mediocre unfortunately.
Our table service was brusk and not the most friendly. We ordered spaghetti & meatballs and a pasta special of the night. The meatballs were tasty and it was about what you’d expect from your meal. My pasta special was cavatelli with eggplant, tomatoes, and gorgonzola in a light red sauce. I wanted to like my dish more, but the flavor combination wasn’t the greatest success. The portions here are huge, so if you’re light eaters you can share one dish and the bread and be pretty stuffed.

Pizza preference is akin to dating preference in our eyes; you like what you like and no one should give you sh*t about it.
Look, there is a reason this place has been around for so long-​and it ain’t because it’s in such a great, classy, high-​end area… it’s because for most people, the sweet tang of Napoli pizza sauce makes the whole pie sing.
Stop ranting about «a true pizza tastes like x» or «when I am in Italy blah blah blah». Yeah, we’ve been to Italy, too. Yeah, the pizza there is different. Stop giving sh*t to Americans whose taste buds have conformed to thinking THIS is authentic pizza and go here, will ya? Who cares?
Authentic or not, we like it. So shut it.

Napoli’s has the best pizza around in my opinion. The pizzas are consistently amazing with very fresh ingredients. The service is great, and you can usually snag a free sample of something from Tony if you’re picking up a pizza. Their desserts, especially the cannolis, are also great!
I highly recommend getting a pizza here!

Staff was fantastic, and the service was quick.
Ate a pie with my girlfriend, and it was great.

This is excellent pizza. 55 years of experience combined with quality ingredients and a ton of TLC produces some mighty tasty pizza. Nice people here as well. There are several good pizza places in the area but Napoli definitely deserves some repeat visits.
