Would have loved to have a brew here… Unfortunately, as a normal bar that is open until 2am, they DONOT allow NEW customers after 12am. So get here early or don’t bother.

By far the best bar in Walla Walla!!! A great place for a beer, cocktail or food. A fun mix of interesting people. The staff are super friendly especially Katie and Brynda the happy hour girls! If you are in WW and don’t go to Green you are missing out.

Love this place, wish it was closer to my home base. Really varied menu, tons of great beers to pick from. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food, way above standard bar fare. Our waitress was fantastic, there were 5 in our party(some of whom were super picky) and she handled everything with hospitality and professionalism. She even brewed a fresh pot of coffee for our table, which was above and beyond for 10 pm on a Friday. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Flew in from the Bay Area to visit a family member. We have some pretty sweet bar/pubs in the Bay Area, being this was Walla Walla I wasn’t expecting much. However, I was very impressed with the Green Lantern! The place was clean and inviting. Food was very good, drinks were on par, and the service was impeccable! The owner was there and stopped by our table to greet us. Great Guy! If you’re in Walla Walla, go to the Green Lantern! You’ll be glad you did!

Although the food was good when you are actually sitting looking at some pretty cool memorabilia you noticed how truly dusty and dirty the Resturaunt is. We were with family going thru wineries and this place was recommended by one of them guess different in evenings when you can’t see very well but gotta say even the lights over pool tables were really dusty.

A great little pub near the campus of Whitman College. This place gets quite busy and noisy, even on weeknights. They used to stay open until 2:00 a.m., but the waitress told me they have been closing around midnight lately, seemingly in an effort to disperse the crowd, and avoid the general sense of unruliness that often occurs during a late night closing time. They have a dozen or so local microbrews on tap, as well as a small selection of spirits. The fish tacos and nachos are quite good, and they do a decent job with burgers and sandwiches. Overall, the wait staff is very kind and attentive. I hope the local drinking crowd continues to show respect to this establishment, and doesn’t get too carried away with the good times!

Locals bar, as we were told. You can see the wine makers and staff hanging out here which is cool. Great outdoor seating area. Excellent selection of beers. Try the greyhound — freshly squeezed grapefruit really makes this a go to drink here.

I can’t say enough about how accommodating the management and ownership of this establishment was for me this evening. I am in town for the GOTR concert festival and really needed a growler filled of delicious beer to have at the camp site. Unfortunately, this bar no longer does growler fills(they gave me the reasons, makes sense), but after asking both my waitress and bartender if they could make and exception with no luck, and was about to walk out the door with an empty growler, I was stopped by the owner who said«what kind of beer would you like? Let me see if we can make it work». He did made it work!!! And I left a happy camper(literally). The fact the guys were able to make an exception for me and wanted to make a customer happy really went a long way with me. If the way the owner values the happiness of his customers is any indication of how the everyday service is in this place(our waitress was also great by the way) this joint is a slam dunk! Thanks Green Lantern.

Went on a Thursday for dinner about 7. Sat outside in the garden which had lots of hanging baskets and picnic tables. Immediate, fast and friendly service. Server noticed I chugged my water and brought me a pitcher. Ordered the special jalapeño burger with a side salad and my husband ordered the same with onion rings. I had a Paloma and he had a Fresh and Clean. Everything was very good. Lots of veggies on the side salad. Well seasoned onion rings. Bun was light and the meat was grass fed from local Blue Valley. My only complaint is that the meat was a bit salty, and with this quality, I would have preferred a bit less seasoning to let the meat shine through. My burger was a perfect medium, nice and juicy. I couldn’t have finished everything if I tried and I can eat. Server made my husband a fresh pot of coffee which was thoughtful. Great experience, service and food. If we lived here, we’d certainly return.

We visited the Green Lantern last night for a beer and to pick up pizza to go(we are staying a hotel). Beer was good, customer service could be better. Patio is huge and I’m sure raucous when school is in session. We ordered two pizzas. One ½ and ½ and the cougar. They were all decent. The crust was thin crust which is the style of crust we prefer. Looks like it used to be a restaurant. Exterior of building is nice and well kept. Interior could use some freshening up /cleaning. Selection of beers includes a small offering of local beers which we always like to see.

My favorite place to go when I’m in town! I love the pizza and the homemade house cut fries! This place always seems busy when I drive by and staff is very friendly. Samantha is my favorite and her smile never fails to make me feel welcome:)

I’ve come to the green lantern several times while working in walla walla, and overall I’ve enjoyed my experiences. Lots of different beers on tap, however they don’t have a beer list which is a little bit odd, so you either have to go up to the bar and look at the taps or ask the wait staff specific questions about what beer they have. All of the food we’ve tried here has been good– fried pickles, salads, pizzas, sandwiches. Last night we came and asked if they had happy hour. Our waitress told us they did from 2 – 6 and said the specials were ‘mostly on beer’ but then walked away and didn’t give us more details, which I found really odd(we were there at like 5pm). Overall, I really like green lantern and would definitely recommend it!

Awesome bar. Awfully rude bouncer. The Green definitely has the best food and drinks in town; However, I really don’t think it’s worth the poor customer service you receive at the door. It’s unfortunate because I really miss The Green! :(

The Green Lantern is a great neighborhood pub, tavern and eatery. We love the deep fried pickles. Our waitress was very friendly and our whole table enjoyed their dinners very much.

Been coming here as part of our annual«first night in Walla Walla» ritual for a few years now. Anyway, found Green Lantern thru Unilocal.Went because one in our party really enjoys beer & trying new selections. The reviews sounded decent enough to all of us so we knew what to expect. I’d say everyone is pretty spot on. My take: We typically go Friday night after the drive up from Oregon. It’s usually around 7pm. It’s busy. It’s loud. But we’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes to find an open table for four. When I say loud, it’s pretty much a dull roar. You don’t quite have to shout across the table but almost in order to hear & be heard. You get the picture: this is not a quiet, intimate setting. Most of the patrons appear to be regulars. I’m not a barfly, but if I’ve ever been to any bar where«everyone knows your name» this would be it. In other words, I get the distinct feeling the locals(regulars) know who you are(tourists /out of towners) and accept who you are but you’d best mind your manners. It’s a blue collar joint and I have no doubt there is a need for bouncers besides checking for fake ID’s. That’s not to say we’ve ever witnessed a brawl. I’m just saying that if you root for the wrong team or you imbibe a little too much and start popping your mouth off… it would not surprise me in the least that you, yourself might get popped! All that said, it’s fun to be the tourist /non local and take in the action & vibe going on around you while quenching your thirst & stuffing your tummy with better than average grub(for a bar). This is Walla Walla… gotta have something ONION. Try the onion rings here. They are pretty decent. Nice blend of seasonings in the batter. We really like their sauce for dipping. It’s a sweet concoction. Very tasty. This last trip, I had their lamb burger… which was excellent. My little baa baa tasted delicious washed down with one of their porters on tap. Generally, most of their food has been great. As I and others have said: better than average. I’d be willing to try anything on the menu that tickled my fancy. A word about the service: even though it’s always been a busy Friday night when we’ve gone, we’ve always had outstanding service. Great bunch of guys & gals on staff there. And let’s not forget about the parking. It’s a dirt lot out in back. It’s usually packed. Not well lit. Dark. You are at a bar. We’ve never had any issues but between watching your surroundings and watching your step(looking for potholes) just know what to expect. No valet service here!

I stopped by this place for dinner while in town for work, and wasn’t impressed nor disappointed. I had the garden burger and jalapeño poppers. Both turned out well(after I sent back uncooked poppers). I’d probably come by again just to drink and play some pool. Definitely an older crowd during my time there(6pm on a Tuesday), looked very much like the watering hole in town. The bartender was nice enough to change the channel for me per request, so kudos to her.

Why you mad, bruh? I too got an unfriendly vibe from the bar staff. That is unfortunate because it seems like this is the only bar in Walla Walla that has a great beer selection. They have your typical pub grub and the drinks are stiff. There was a drunk old guy next to us at the bar who looked like a regular. He was annoying as hell. Hey Unilocal!I think under«Ambiance» you need to add the category«Douchey» so I can check this place off.

I ended up here often(maybe a little too often) while I lived in W2 working crush. The Green Lantern is a local bar with lots of beer on tap, at least one cider(I believe they have Blue Mountain normally), and good service. I never had any issues with the bartenders, bouncers, or servers, though I also don’t get excessively inebriated. The décor is pretty standard with beer ads and some vintage looking paraphernalia, and there’s also a pool table and fireplace inside. Outside there’s a fire pit with hay bales for the many chilly(cold!) nights the area gets. What stood out to me was the food, it was actually really good, let alone for bar food. The nachos are massive and delicious, though they do run out on busy nights since the chips are homemade. Whatever the case, once I finally had them, I understood. Apparently the fish tacos are also very good, though I never tried it. Overall I’m a fan, though the rowdy country crowd wasn’t exactly my speed. Still, great place to check out if you’re in town and wanting a bar with great food.
