We were referred to TERO/Flying Trout by Kerloo Cellars because of our interest in Malbec. This was a fun, educational wine tasting! We spent over an hour here(stayed after they closed). We only bought one bottle, but wish we would have bought more. They were just about sold out of the Malbec, so we just had to buy it! We liked the wines so much that we thought about joining their club, but knowing that we were moving to Texas, we chose not to(they cannot ship to TX). This will be our first stop when heading back to Walla Walla and will be the standard we use to purchase wines from others.

This was one of our favorite stops in Walla Walla when we visited over President’s weekend in February! Jan who poured our wines was so welcoming, warm and inviting. She was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the wines and made it so easy to linger in the shop and discuss wine. We surprisingly walked away with many bottles of wine and had a difficult time deciding what to buy, as we truly enjoyed everything we tasted. From their Tero Red(a great everyday red wine for those Tuesday nights when you don’t need an excuse to open a bottle) to their more pricey wines, we loved them all! They also are dog friendly if you’re traveling with your dog — no need to live them in your hotel or car. They have a cute, little space in the bottom of the Marcus Whitman hotel but it’s convenient to other hotels, restaurants and tasting rooms in town. If you’re in the area, definitely add this place to your list.

I stopped in to Flying Trout for a tasting while I was in Walla Walla. They had a nice selection of wines to try, and they are located in the hotel I was staying at, so I didn’t have to go far, which was good because the weather had taken a dive. I wouldn’t say that all the wines were winners, but I did buy a couple of bottles. I think they were a little pricy, but I was having fun and it was a good experience.

The space was really odd — I thought I was walking into an office space. Once you are there though the service is great. It wasn’t stuffy and I didn’t feel stupid for being a wine novice. The reds were only ok though, and they only had one white.

They are one of my favorites due to the fact that the winemakers does very unique things with his wine! I loved his White Argentina wine, and their Windrow blend. I would highly recommend going to this winery and trying out their wines. The price was very fair and they offer different varietals than just the Cab Sav and Merlots that a lot of Walla Walla wineries are offering!

Loved all of the wines, with my favorite being the 2009 Windrow Blend, because it is just so different from anything else I tasted this weekend. Lovely wines, great staff, convenient location, prices very fair for the quality you are getting. This should be an easy must-do stop when you are in Walla Walla.

Had an amazing afternoon tasting the wines out at the Tero Vineyards. Was by appointment and was able to do some barrel tastings too. They were all fabulous… not enough money to buy what we wanted!
