Might have been influenced by the first rays of sunshine in 4 days but a strong 4 stars. We sat outside and the wine tasting came to us. We are from Minnesota and went to Walla Walla based on the Wine Alliance presence at the Minneapolis Food and Wine Experience — this was one of the wineries that brought us this way.

Dusted Valley was our first stop for a large group(11) that was doing a day of escorted wine touring/tasting and we were SO glad we started off our day on such a positive note! The tasting fee is a little higher, $ 10 per person, but completely worth it, we tried a ton of(amazing delicious) wines, it felt like close to 10 pours, and all of them were fantastic! The fee is waived with purchase. The wine-maker and his wife were working and were so accomodating to our group, even though we had not made any prior arrangements, they set us up on the patio so we could enjoy the beautiful day and came out to pour us tasting after tasting, our glasses were never empty. It was awesome to hear about each wine from the people who are so close to it, and they did a great job talking through the tasting notes and telling a bit about the story behind the lable and reason for making which varietals. Even though several other groups came through, we were well attended to and well taken care of, it was awesome! We had an absolutely lovely time here and didn’t want to leave. Keep up the good work guys! We will be back for sure!

Over the past 10 months my review has gone from 1-star to 2-star, and now, 3-star. We went to their tasting room in Woodinville and the people there were very gracious and helpful, and my friend(who was bitten by a dog at Dusted Valley’s Walla Walla vineyard last year) finally got her free case of wine. We also had a nice tasting of their very good wine selection, and ended up buying a few bottles. All squared away :)

Dusted Valley has been one of my favorite places to visit both in Walla Walla and in Woodinville. The wine and service is top notch and they go out of their way to help you plan private events. My friends Bachelorette party luncheon in Walla Walla was amazing… thank you for taking such great care of us… I highly recommend the BFM and VR Special Cab… mmmm

Stained Tooth Syrah. True to its name and delicious. The property itself has been improved since our last visit and they have a lovely outdoor picnic area. I would absolutely recommend this as a stop on a wine tour. I think they also have a tasting room in Woodinville.

We missed Dusted Valley Vintners when we visited the Walla Walla/Milton-Freewater area last fall. Happily, I was able to taste a couple of their wines at a recent wine event in Portland. Their 2008 Walla Walla Valley Cab was quite nice. We also liked their 2007 Columbia Valley Stained Tooth Syrah with it’s beautifully long and flavorful finish.

(Disclaimer: this review is based on a visit two years ago) There was nothing particularly sexy about Dusted Valley. The ambiance, quality, prices and clientele all suggested that Dusted Valley is not striving to be a Napa-style winery(and thank goodness for that). The folks were friendly, eager to talk about the wine, and very generous with the pours. DV has a big selection, but I can’t remember if we were«wowed» enough to take any of them home…
