Meh… It’s ok. Just ok. The associates that work there act like I am getting on their nerves when I ask a question. Maybe it was the day that I came. But everyone’s attitude was very blah :-( I also noticed Hancock’s prices are a bit higher then Joann’s. I would rather go to Joann Fabrics even though it’s a little further down the road,

The store is incredibly crowded. I am sometimes in need of a wheelchair, so maneuvering through the store is a bit of a challenge on those days. I always find JUST what i’m looking for and am usually thrilled with the sales offered. Some items are a bit pricey but i steer clear of those and order online. My last visit i was looking for fabric with an «antique» look, as i am recovering a chair from the 1800’s…thankfully, i found the perfect fabric AND the pure cotton batting to go with the horsehair i ordered! The ladies that cut the fabric are kind of slow and one or two of them aren’t exactly the friendliest, but i’m in there for a short time so i just go with it. There is always a long line to have a cut made, they could use someone to help. And sometimes there IS a little wait for a cashier. But all in all it’s not a bad place…

Must practice EXTREME patience once you’re in this store! The lack of staff presence in this store is amazing! I was next in line to get my fabric cut *yea! I’m such a badazz* but i was waiting for 20 min. Why? The fabric cutter was rather slow… in addition she was hell bent on making long winded conversations… I’m sure this staffer could see the long line which accumulated behind me… so finally I’m up there getting my 3 yards of fabric,(thinking i could have gotten away with ripping t shirts for my project, it would have been faster) when customers are coming up asking questions to my slow, but very talkative fabric cutter… which took even more time… Finally, my fabric is cut… and I see no one at the cashier… I’m getting hellova excited… so Im skipping to the cashier in my nah nah nah inner voice cuz I’m FINALLY heading home, when I see another collection of folks behind the cashier… figured that’s a pretty big crowd, when I find out the LINE starts BEHIND the cashier… WHODOESTHAT? My hopes are dashed once again… I’m beyond pissed, naturally there was so sign indicating… so fine, I’m back in line… after another 25 min. I’m back on happy status agin… I slap my three yards if whatever it was on the counter, and guess what the cashier says«do you have any small bills? Everyone seems to be giving me large bills» AREYOUKIDDINGMELADY? It’s 10:30 on a Saturday morning! Why couldn’t she announce to the line in the lack of change? I could have got in my car, and drove across the highway and still would not have missed my spot in line, because they were slow as paint drying! In hindsight, while standing in line I hear its always this way, the lack of staff, on top of the slow turtle pace of its employees. Grant it, it the staff was older ladies… but HANCOCKFABRICS needs to step it up… and no, I didn’t purchase, I had no time to get change and I returned home and started ripping old tshirts. THANKSHANCOCK! My first and LAST visit please believe you will NOT see me there!
