Maui Plumbing

Today Maui Plumbing replaced my old, slow leaking toilet. I was quoted a price. The plumber who arrived (with new comfort height toilet) said he could simply repair the leaking wax seal rather than replace. But based on my knee replacement and arthritis in general, I decided to get the new one. And the cost was LESS than predicted!
Maui Plumbing rocks. Every time.

I lived on Oahu for 10 years and just moved to Maui in September. I have had countless bad experiences with plumbers over the years, including absurd charges. From the initial phone call my wife received from Matt Lind, she was impressed with his demeanor. Matt was extremely professional, respectful, polite, sincere, and helpful in getting all of our plumbing issues resolved with our new home and explaining his work when I asked. These other reviews I have read are alarming and I can’t speak much to the amount we were charged since this was mostly covered by our home warranty but I would recommend Matt to anyone and add that Maui Plumbing is fortunate to have an employee like him.

I’ve used Maui Plumbing’s services several times over the past few years. They’re always responsive, quick, and professional. Last time i called was for something simple, a clogged shower drain. They were on time, fixed it fast and charged a reasonable price which is hard to find on Maui. I would recommend them highly.

How can I possibly recommend a plumbing company that would charge $ 730 for 1 hour’s work??? The plumber came out, removed the toilet, cut into the wall, replaced a pipe, and put the toilet back. He had to go for supplies (why he didn’t have them with him is anybody’s guess) and so the total time at the house was under an hour. I thought $ 200-​$ 300 tops. Nope. This is highway robbery, even by Maui’s standards.

Don’t recommend this company. Only photographic evidence of their negligence, by their own industry peers, enabled us to get part of our job done properly. The rest is still a mess and the owner is nowhere to be found. Google reviews are absurd. Obviously his friends. Buyer beware.

Matt is the best! I called Maui Plumbing after hearing a radio ad (which isn’t always the smartest thing to do). He arrived on time, was personable, professional and efficient. But best of all… the charges were totally reasonable! After a not so great experience with a competitor, I am very happy to have found Maui Plumbing!

Matt Lind at Maui Plumbing just solved a plumbing problem with my shower drain that has been bothering me for the past year. I have used Maui Plumbing several times over the years and they are the best on the island. Fast, smart and competitively priced. I highly recommend them.

REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE: in 2012, I ordered new hot water heater installation. When plumber left after doing job, I found I had NO running water at all. He returned, but had to return again as has no hot water.
Then discovered my washer/​dryer hoses had been removed for HWH installation but never reconnected. — he had to come back AGAIN for that.
Company recommended electrician to install thermostate/​on-​off switch. First electrician tried to place switch (didn’t even bring a theremostat) in wrong place, then moved it … leaving me with two holes in the wall which he refused to repair.
Only recently learned when new A/​C was being installed that Maui Plumbing’s electrician had NOT taken the time to run a new wire to the on/​off switch (couldn’t even give me matching color plate and switch button!), but stole one from dishwasher which I rarely use but wanted to keep operational. Recently, the A/​C electrician asked why there was no circuit box wire running to the dishwasher, and then we realized that the lazy, sloppy unprofessional electrician (who overcharged me too!) had not take the time to run a new wire to the switch but merely stole the one from dishwasher.
ALTOGETHER A VERY UNPLEASANT AND SLOPPY WORK EXPERIENCE — LESSON LEARNED!
No wonder they are not BBB accredited!
