Planet Smoothie

Horrible customer service. Employees are standing at the counter chatting with their friends who are non workers. Not to mention, they should stick to just smoothies and not food, as my panini was horrible. Definitely won’t be visiting here again and management needs to hire people who want to work and not socialize with their friends.

I LOVE planet smoothie, their smoothies are always on point! However, this particular location is super slow. Today I went in and ordered my smoothie, the cashier, also the manager, was talking gossip while I was ordering and kept looking at another workers phone. They were talking about a woman that is a dependa and that she got married way to young. I know all women talk crap about people, but talking like that that loudly at work is super unprofessional. Then, all the coworkers stood around and talked not making anybody’s food (there were 4 people ahead of me). I could see the line of smoothies on the counter still in the blender just waiting for the ice and to be mixed. It took 10 minutes to get my smoothie. I was highly annoyed. I know I’m not the only one that has experienced this cause this is my 3^rd time experiencing this. I use to go to planet smoothie all the time back home but now I tried to avoid it. I only go there now if I have to wait at the PX for a while.

Great place to have a smoothie. On a hot day, it is the best thing to do. The staff is very welcoming and will remember you if you are a regular. Thad, Andre’ and Taniel showed excellent customer service.

The smoothies are the bomb. A bit pricy but good. I gave them three stars because the customer service isn’t so good. The employees sat there after i ordered talking to a non employee fifteen minutes later I asked where my drink was and someone was just making it.

Horrible, disappointing experience. I stopped to grab a veggie sandwich and smoothie and left (25 min later) empty handed. Apparently they were cashing out their drawer and needed more time. My food sat on the counter for 15 min but I was unable to pay for it. When I approached the counter, I was told I could pay with «exact change». I asked two places next door to break a $ 20 but refused because I didn’t buy anything at their restaurant. When I approached the employees at the counter of Planet Smoothie and said I had to go to work, they asked me to wait. «It should be only another 5 min or so». I do not have time to wait excessively for a smoothie. I left empty handed, hungry, and disappointed.

I was under the impression that their smoothies were more like local fruit smoothies not the typical strawberry banana smoothie that everyone else has on their menu. I didn’t see anything on the menu that made me go «I definitely want that», but I wanted to give the place a try. I ordered the strawberry piña colada, which tasted nothing like a piña colada lol. It was good but not what I was expecting.

Our cashier was nice trying to give us suggestions. I hate when you go somewhere and you ask them questions about their products and they say «idk» the smoothie was out in less than 5 min. Good service

Acai bowl dinna!

I like their line of post workout smoothies. Like most people, this may be the first time I see a Planet Smoothie. They offer food as well but most customers go for the smoothies, although these breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal bowls and salads are pretty good as well.

I have never seen a Planet Smoothie before so I am assuming this in not a chain. But in all honesty these smoothies are the BEST I have ever had.
This shop is located just inside the food court of the PX on Schofield Barracks. During lunch hours on a regular work week, expect a long line. Trust me when I say it is worth the wait. If you do not want to wait in line I suggest going before or after lunch, or all times during the weekend. There is almost never a line at those times.
The service here is always good, very nice people that always seem to be in a good mood. I have had about 8 different items from this shop and I have yet to find something I do not like. My personal favorite smoothie is the «yo’ Adrian» It contains peach, frozen yogurt, strawberries and a fiber blast. If you have a taste for something else they have plenty of other combinations and options. They even mark on their menu board whether or not it is dairy free or safe for pregnant folks.
If your not in the mood for a smoothie the food is very good to. I am partial to the chicken Caesar wrap on a spinach tortilla. Oh, and they taste great with a smoothie.
overall I highly recommend this place. If you go, be sure to get the punch card, after 9 smoothies, the 10^th is free!

I had their small acai bowl. It was still a little large for me, but the perfect amount of berries, banana and granola. I like that the acai was not runny, that’s the biggest issue I have with acai bowls is that some is just mushy (is this a word?). I will be back to get my planet smoothie acai bowl after bowling at Schofield.

Location:
They are located in the food court of the PX next to the bathrooms. There storefront is small (pretty much a door opening). I wish there storefront looked more welcoming. It just looks hidden away from the rest of the food court.
Food:
4 Stars for their Acai Bowl! I just love this stuff. The staff will ask you if you want it made with apple juice or soy milk. Choose the apple juice. The Acai bowl comes with banana, strawberry, granola and a generous amount of honey. They put a layer of honey on the top AND bottom.
The menu can be daunting and I think the acai bowl is not on the menu but just ask for it anyway.
I’ve also had their paninis but I had it from their Hickam gym location. The paninis are worth ordering as well. This location doesn’t have the stuffed pretzels like the Hickam location. (Another great tasting item).
Most of the time you’ll see men ordering their protein smoothies from here. I haven’t tried their smoothies but if it’s anything like my acai bowl then I’ll probably like it too.
Service:
It takes a little over 5 minutes or more to make my Acai bowl. The staff usually tells you too. The staff are friendly.
Overall, I recommend trying their Acai bowl!!! This is one of my favorite places to have an Acai bowl.

I have been going to Planet Smoothie for 3 years. At first I was a Jamba Juice junkie. What changed me was their coffee smoothies. I like that they don’t have a secret menu that only select people know. I love that they a variety of smoothies categorized from healthy to creamy/​coffee. When I am having a bad day, I have a Java the nut and all is better! There sizes are also unreal. Their smallest size is the size of Jamba Juice’s original. They then have a medium that looks supersized. AND THEN. there is a large that might as well be a BUCKET!
Of course this isn’t the only reason I like this place. They have really good sandwiches and salads. Planet Smoothie is only found in the military bases like Hickam, Ft Shafter or Schofield. So its great to have a frosty beverage and a healthy lunch instead of pizza or a burger. They have really healthy fruit smoothies with pure fruit. The «C Monster» is packed with vitamin C and it tastes better than any smoothie from jamba juice. The variety of smoothies and snacks are much better for a little kiosk compared to Jamba Juice.
If you are ever at a base with a Planet Smoothie try one!

Come here for lunch every now and again. Actually enjoy their smoothies waaaay better than those at Jamba. For some reason, Jamba smoothies all taste the same.
I’ve tried several flavors (with funky names that really have no relation with their ingredients): Leapin Lizard (peaches, strawberries — fat burner blast), Two Piece Bikini (strawberries or cocoa, bananas, nonfat milk, vanilla — fat burner blast), Grape Ape (grape juice, strawberries — energy blast) and Screamsicle (pineapples, peaches, orange juice, yogurt, orange sherbet — multivitamin blast). All very yummy and satisfying on a hot day. I like the fact they use all natural sweeteners like Stevia and Agave and have several varieties that are less than 300 calories (regular size).
I also enjoy their panini sandwiches, especially the Feta Chicken or the Basil Chicken. Scrumptious stuff and good for you too! Not sure why their store near the Waipio Costco folded. That sucks for many as the only two locations are on military bases.
