I’m giving this Applebee’s 3 stars(rather than 2) ONLY because my wife likes the drink specials and the service is usually good. The food is «mehhhhhhhhhhh I’ve had better». On 5/21, my wife and I went here and I ordered the chicken and shrimp and my chicken was TERRIBLE — hard and just not cooked right. I’m also pissed off that they discontinued the fajitas. WHYOHWHY would you discontinue such a great dish? EPICEPICFAIL. I’m not really surprised at all the negative reviews of this Applebee’s. I think it’s sort of gone downhill in the past 2 years or so. OK, we do eat here about twice a month, but only because it’s convenient and as I said, my wife likes some aspects. But I think they could do a much better job with the food and also they should add some better dishes to the menu. They have a 2 for $ 20 and 2 for $ 25, but the dishes are very limited. They should include some additional dishes. I really don’t care for most of them. And the appetizers they include are limited as well, and I don’t care for most of them either. When we came here on 5/21, a Saturday night, the place was half empty. Hey management, ask yourself why that should be. You should be full on a Saturday night. Wake up and smell the perfect margarita.

Came here one day when I had an extra-long lunch break from work. Sat at the bar, as it was quick seating and not crowded. Bartender was very friendly and good at recommending meals that she thought were great without seeming pushy. I ordered the 4 cheese mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken pasta dish based on the recommendation of my step-sister, who had eaten it at another location. The bartender thought that was an excellent choice that I would just love. I took a few bites and was honestly already not loving it. It was bland and you would never mistake it for having an ounce of cheese flavor. I drizzled some of the honey pepper sauce that I had them put on the side in case I wasn’t a fan to see if it helped. I was forking in for another bite when I felt my utensil hit something decidedly more solid than pasta or cooked chicken. Search and discovery yielded a small, round plastic lid in the bottom of my bowl. I flagged down the bartender and asked her if this was, indeed, an ingredient in my meal. She was understandably embarrassed(after her rave review) and immediately took the bowl back to the kitchen. The manager came out and, also seeming embarrassed, explained that the dish ingredients were pre-portioned, blah, blah, blah, and offered to remake it as well as not charge me and also gave me a coupon for a free future meal. I accepted the offer because it was a plastic lid and not a cockroach or anything, but after I already waited twice to eat, I told them to make it to go. Although I didn’t have time to eat it by then. (Side note: I neglected to tip the poor bartender who was actually a credit to the place because in my head, my meal was on the house and I was already miffed at having to wait extra long and not even get to eat, so if you ever read this, I am SO sorry). I mean, everyone knows that restaurants take shortcuts. We just choose to believe someone is taking some care to make our food because we can’t see what’s going on back there and it ain’t cheap. But pre-portioned or not, how freaking lazy and oblivious to you have to be to not to notice that you dumped the lid in the bowl… or ask yourself where did that lid go? I didn’t think having plastic in my food bothered me that much… I mean, would I not eat it if I did such a thing at home? Nah, that’s ridiculous. But it’s a enough of a thing to make me wonder what other«short-cuts» people who don’t give a crap are making back there. Not to mention, I have thought much of the Applebees menu has been bland, over-priced and not worth the effort in the last few years. I stayed away for awhile, but I went back again to use my coupon and(don’t ask me why) tried the 3 cheese chicken penne which was likewise bland. Add to this, my visit to another Ohio Applebees where one of the bathroom stalls was covered in shredded paper towels and menstrual blood… I think I’m done.

Just about the worst local restaurant in Wadsworth these days. Overpriced, bland, burnt, cold food. Took our family here and the waitress and manager seemed like they couldn’t care less if we were unhappy about the poor food. We’ve been coming here since they opened, but do not plan to ever return to this one in the Applebee’s chain. The ones in Medina and Montrose are slightly better, but still over-priced. Disappointing.

Came here with four of my friends for lunch. We had missed breakfast and ordered quite a bit. Their Brew Pub Pretzels and Beer Cheese Dip was a delicious starter to our meal. I quite liked the sweet mustard dipping sauce that was included with the cheese dip. I had ordered their American Standard Burger and found it to be juicy and filling. I finally had their Churro S’mores for dessert and they were very decadent. Only problem is the chocolate syrup they use, which tasted very flat. We also had a delay in our seating as the hostess were not around when we arrived, so we had to wait a bit. However, our server, Meredith, was very friendly and wonderful to talk to. Overall my experience was pleasant.

Just got done watching Applebee’s ‘happy hour’ commercial and my brother said let’s go get a beer. We did, but they must be only place in chain that says ’ we don’t have happy hour’ ‘just half price selected appetizers after 9pm’. False advertising. Won’t be back.

The«new» menu is the same stuff just way more expensive. The steak is not worth 17.00. And .75 just for a side of sour cream that should come with the appetizer. The waiter was amazing though super nice and attentive. She deserved all the stars

Why is it every time Applebees has something good on the menu, they quickly change or discontinue it? The chicken Fajita roll up used to be good, now not so much. They changed the chicken and filled it full of cabbage. This sucks! Who remembers onion pedals? Those were good… Lets get rid of them. Applebees you suck. But every 6 months I’ll forget and order from you.

The only reason I could see someone going to an Applebee’s is because there is nothing else around. But, there are other, much better restaurants in the area. Applebee’s food is bland as can be. I know they employ a lot of locals, and everyone has to make a living, so don’t take it out on your server when your food sucks. You were the fool who walked into Applebee’s in the first place. They do have half off appetizers at night, which is cool I guess. Try one of the local restaurants instead though.

My wife and I always to seem have a rather nice time at this Applebee’s. There are quiet a few sub par Applebee’s in our area, but this one always exceeds our expectations with their service and quality of food and drinks.

Food is just ever so slightly above edible. There were 6 of us smashed into a cramped booth — so even with our bad food we had each other’s elbows in our faces. Not somewhere I would ever seek out with any other choices around.

Steaks are horrible. Tasted liked we were licking the grill. Beer is good. The best meal at the table was our kids grilled cheese. Don’t get the grilled veggies. Basically all meals were inconsistent across the board. They did comp the meal that was taken back. The waitress was nice, Krista. I wouldn’t return to the establishment.
