Fine sports museum, nothing too groundbreaking. If you’re not from Texas or not a sports fan you might want to skip it. Lacking in interactive displays. Most of it is display cases with old uniforms/programs/pictures. After a few they start to blur. They make it a point to represent as many sports/teams as they can. Gift shop was just a generic sports shop, disappointed there wasn’t much that was specific to the museum.

I went with kids so I didn’t enjoy it as much as I could if I went alone or with my wife or if my kids were older. I’d love to go back someday when my kids are older. First room I noticed was a Tennis room. Lots of stuff to look at. Not a lot of hands on for kids. Then a Tom Landry physical fitness room. Not a lot of exhibit in here, but there were a few hands on things for the kids. We spent a significant time in this room. Then a SWC Southwest Conference Room. Very cool to see a taste of each SWC team. Each team had an equal portion of the room. Then a High School Sports room, dominated by football. Not a lot of non-football in it at all, if any. It would be nice to see them fix this at some time in the future. Fifth room we visited was a room dedicated to individuals. Lastly, a Tom Landry room. I thought it was a nice museum and I’d like to see it grow some. I’ll go back.

A must see. Words can not describe. Amazing, mind blowing, staggering display of all things sports. Set aside at least a few hours to take it all in. It doesn’t matter what team you support, nor which sport; this is a sacred homage to Texans and how they have contributed to sports, globally. We left well educated and speechless. (Enjoy our huge selection of photos, but you must see it in person)
