The service was great, food arrive quickly and hot, drinks were fantastic as well as our meal. Our server was funny but not obnoxious. Had a good time with friends we have not seen in years. Recommend this place.

Every time I have been here the service has been great, beers have been cold, and steaks have been cooked perfectly. The management here does a good job, you can tell.

Me and my husband went for our 18th anniversary last night and I was SUPER disappointed! This place is hit or miss, this was my 2nd visit. I ordered the porter house for 2 cooked medium, when our waiter brought it it was more like rare. We were so hungry, and we tried to eat what we could around it, as we cut into the steak, it got bloodier and bloodier!!! So when I tell the waiter about it, he takes the cut up steak back, and instead of bringing back a steak that was cooked the way we ordered, they threw the steak and the chopped pieces back on the grill and brought it back to our table! and it still was not cooked right. being a steak house, especially in a state where we are known for beef, you would think they have chefs that know how to cook a steak. This was our second time going and this happened. So for my 18th anniversary we ate salad, a dry baked potato, cold spinach, and a couple bites of bloody steak! I WILLSTICKWITHTEXASROADHOUSE… THEYNEVERDISSAPOINT, Those chefs know how to cook a steak!!! the waiter was ok, but he should have had enough sense to bring back our food fresh!!! Don’t waste you time people!

We have eaten here many times. The seaks are tender and perfectly cooked. Great seafood. Sides are good, but sparse. Haven’t tried dessert or alcohol drinks. Service is excellent.

A decent steakhouse. We went here instead of Saltgrass because we thought we’d try something new. Wish we’d gone to saltgrass. The ribeye my wife ordered was very thin, tasted alright, just very thin. My prime rib was good. Two of the three baked potatoes were undercooked. The waitress put more toppings on 2 of the three potatoes. The facilities are nice, just underwhelmed by the food.

Sad to be disappointed after several excellent meals here. My medium-rare request for a sirloin was served medium-well and tough. Nobody asked about the steak when it was served or when only two bites were taken out of it at the end of our meal. Hope this is not the start of a pattern toward mediocrity in quality and service.

Absolutely the best steak we have had in Waco. My husband had the prime ribeye and I had the ribeye. The seasoning was so good that I didn’t even need steak sauce.

Service was great. Food was above average. Dessert same. The water was superb. The place was not very packed for a Saturday evening.

We had a great experience. The food was good and the service was incredible. Gabby did an excellent job and she really set the bar high for a restaurant service. My husband enjoyed his steak and I enjoyed the chicken tenders.

I came here today with my fellow co-workers for lunch… party of 8 and they were not busy and it took awhile for the waiter to come and take our drink orders. After that we ordered our food and it came out at a reasonable time so I suppose they made up for the slow arrival of our drinks. Overall the service was OKAY and the food was AWESOME. :)

Service was exceptional. A very large table was seated before us and we were served in a timely manner. Manager came by the table and was very personable. Without a doubt a step above any steakhouse in Waco I’ve been to. Bread is fantastic, quality of meat, and the cooks temp the meat correctly. Our server was top notch, knowledgeable about the dishes and was right on target leading me through a great dining experience. They have learned and matured since some of the older reviews.

The food was good, not great, but good. Steaks fairly tender(t-bone)…could have used a bit more seasoning. Didn’t opt for a steak add on because last time we ordered the blue cheese topping and it didn’t even taste like blue cheese and ruined the steak. Their potato/leek gratin sounded yummy but I could not eat it — gummy and«separated» and potatoes on the raw side. Salad very good — nothing exotic but was cold and crisp. Cocktails were very weak I suspect that the restaurant did read reviews because they go WAY overboard with being«present» at the table. I finally stopped even looking at them and the manager. Way too much. The whole service deal needs to be fine-tuned: 1. Great atmosphere —(for Waco) But, while there were plenty of empty areas to sit — the hostess tries to seat my husband and me right next to a family with active kids and toys and food all over the place. Just stood there and kind of embarrassed us when we asked to move. Like it never dawned on a hostess(her job) to seat a couple in a more private table. Why, in a half empty restaurant would you seat someone next to someone else? 2. Timing — Although we think we made it clear we wanted to relax, have our cocktail and then order, our waitress pushed us for our appetizer. No big deal. But then, when she told us she wouldn’t put our entrée order in yet — there comes the salad — when we were clearly eating our appetizer and moments later — there comes our entrée. Serious boo-boo for a finer restaurant. So, then we find ourselves trying to finish our drink, eat our salad, eat our appetizer, and having to stop and«Cut into your steak»(which will probably be cold by the time we eat). Hated this part. She asked us if we wanted her to take something back and we thought, take something back when you said you would get the timing right? 3. Enough is enough — Coming too often to the table is almost as bad as not coming enough. A good restaurant has wait staff within«a nod’s reach» and then having to stop eating again to have to talk to the manager was annoying too.

I was hesitant to eat here when reading the reviews, but it seemed like food quality was not really an issue, just service. So I decided to give it a go after having a good Longhorn experience in North Carolina. I came here for Saturday lunch and sat at the bar. It was slow.(Like, I was the only one sitting at the bar.) Had a strawberry salad with a medium rare sirloin and mac and cheese. Longhorn salads have got to be the biggest side salads you’ve had, and since it’s a good one… I love it! Steak came out fine, and the mac and cheese was tasty, too. Service was neither bad nor good. It’s best described this way, I suppose: I normally tip at least 20%, but I had no desire to leave more than the standard 15%.(I never leave less than that.) After ordering, the bartender– while very nice– only checked on me when I was just about done eating. Also, no bread was ever offered or brought out. Maybe she thought the mac had enough carbs for my ass. Management did stop by to see how things were, which is a good sign. They are probably trying to listen to Unilocal reviews. Beats me how to say«the service was just okayyyyy» since there really wasn’t any way to say«I wasn’t attended to properly when I needed pepper fifteen minutes ago!» without sounding like a total diva. I would give this place another go since the strawberry salad-mac and cheese-steak trio is pretty legit. My Ice Queen(with a big ass?) might appear if I don’t get offered bread this time though…

Horrible service! Longest wait ever on a Sunday around 1 pm. Took over an hour to get out food after waiting 20 minutes to be sat because the kitchen was behind and it wasn’t even very busy. So poorly managed. We will never come back here and I usually love Longhorns. The food wasn’t bad but not worth the wait. Do not come here.

Second time to dine here. Very suspicious because there was no wait at 12:05 on a Sunday. The dining room was ½ full. Against our better judgement we decided to eat here. Our server was not very happy to wait on us. We got our drinks after she brought us bread and brought refills to the two tables next to us. After having to remind her to bring us our salads we finally got them. The food came out in stages. The food was good. The steaks are some of the better steaks in Waco. The deal breaker is just the service. The server was only polite and helpful when I asked for our check. Then she was the most helpful she’d been the entire time. I’m giving it three stars only on quality of the cut of meat we got. It hurt me to give it three stars for the price and the service we received.

Absolute garbage. This dump had the worst service I have ever had. then some asshat manager named Juan came to our table and kept us from eating our, mediocre at best, food. Absolutely poorly managed. How can you not manage these garbage waiters? We had to wait 45 minutes for an appetizer which got served at the same time as our entrees, followed by our salads! I will never go back to this establishment, nor should anyone else. Service is garbage, management is laughable, and food is basic. STAYAWAY!!!

I would give them 3.5 if I could because they are a cut above most of what we have here in Waco. The design and furnishings were nice and the atmosphere was very good. We were seated promptly at just before 6PM. I had heard some reports about service issues but I would say they were probably due to new staff just trained and a horrible rush of people during the opening weeks. I never choose to go to a restaurant in the opening weeks because the crowds of customers in Waco can put an unexpected strain on the new service team. Our waitress made one mistake — but it did not distract from our experience. Steak and baked potato cooked to order and a salad that was better than expected. Our fried green tomato appetizer was tasty as well. The drinks from the bar were very good and large enough to justify the price. I will return to Longhorn for another meal. The burgers look large and tasty for lunch.
