I’ve been a long time customer at Happy Nails(10+ years), but ever since Jo left to go back to Korea, this place has gone seriously downhill. It is no longer Korean but Spanish — a few good girls remain(Nellie, Jackie & Teresa) but the rest of the girls are not that great. And the last few times I’ve been there, the manicurists have brought their children to work with them — and then had their friends come hang out with their children as well. It feels more like a daycare lately than a nail salon — it’s just not possible to relax and enjoy the experience when kids are blasting music on their iPhones, playing loud video games, and climbing all over the chairs like a jungle gym. I’m sad to leave but I’ll be shopping around for someplace new to call home.

I’ve been coming to this place intermittently for years– through variou owners. Spa pedis are amazing. Problem — today the whirlpool smelled like mildew. During my mani, the technician just passed the Emory board I was using to another customer. Hardly anyone speaks English. Sorry, one person spoke broken English to explain a service. I’m over it — so much for promoting local business.
