Acme

Overpriced and poor quality! This acme never fails to disappoint. It’s more convenient for me to stop here on my way home than the shoprite, so occasionally I will and am reminded every time why i don’t consistently shop here. Everything is always so over priced, even the «sale» items. Produce– expensive. Meat– expensive. Everything else– expensive.
The final straw was last week i bought an overpriced pack of Boneless chicken breasts. I opened them up the following night and then smelled awful! They were definitely rancid so i tossed them.
The one thing i do enjoy fron there is the store-​made tortilla chips. Sometimes I’ll stop in just for them.

This Acme has really gone down hill… or is it that the surrounding area has so many more options now? Years ago when I first moved here this store was it aside from what was then a more expensive Genuardis across the street. Well then Target hit the street between the two. Not long after Genuardis closed. With a Shoprite just around the corner and Walmart now about 8 mins away — Acme is barely holding on. All this and Acme still seems to be oblivious. Their pricing is still high with items priced $ 1 to 2 $ more all the time. Sales are not enough when the store across the parking lot has an everyday lower price. The store feels overly cluttered for the lack of anyone actually being here no matter when I have gone by. And at times is does not seem that clean. They have all but given up in the bakery many times midday I go by there and no one seems to be there. The breads and cakes are over priced and look sad
All in all I will go in there only when I am pressed for time on my way home and the traffic makes Acme the best option. No one is hardly there unlike the never ending crush at Target or Shoprite. I don’t know how they stay open.

Typical Grocery store. Love that I don’t need a store card to get sales. It’s just easier that way. Beef selections vary and seem pricey but very delicious… I come her for convenience but not my main grocery store

Acme interior setup reminded me wildly of Super Stop & Shops that I have frequented back up in North Jersey. The prices are more expensive than other chains I am accustomed to, but they have all the necessities.
Conveniently located in the middle of a sprawling plaza where you will find just about everything (frozen yogurt, Applebee’s, Afghani food, banks, Chinese, Thai). You can get a lot done in this plaza.

Nothing crazy, but a basic good Acme. New construction is happening next door, not sure if Acme related or not. Also a Citizens Bank inside Acme as well.
