Everything we have tried is absolutely delicious. Great breakfast spot. The staff is kind and helpful. The ambience is inviting and quiet. They have a patio outback to enjoy with lots of seating shaded by the trees. We enjoyed the breakfast specials and also tried a raspberry almond bar which we tried to save for later, but it was just too good. Definitely coming back!

Picked up some crab enchiladas for lunch, which came with rice and beans. Everything was decent. Also grabbed a couple of scones to go. The lemon/lavender was inedible with an extremely powerful lavender taste and smell. So much so that it nearly ruined the cherry scone, which was better, but not great. Very friendly and nice people working there and a lot of good looking things to try, and they have frozen dinners to take and bake at home which is nice.

I’d concur with all the other reviewers. Super nice owner, nana, who was pleasant and who runs a very cute establishment. The breakfast was delicious and coffee was topped off constantly. We had a great experience here and would recommend that anyone in the mood for breakfast or baked goods stop by.

Great little bakery in a very cool little town. The people working are always great to chat with. You can sit and stay awhile and enjoy lots of choices of savory or sweet and a cup of coffee. Very relaxing! Lots of cyclists stop by on their rides which is kind of cool too.

Pure awesomeness awaits you at this bakery. We purchased a date and walnut bar, brownie, and a lemon bar. All three were decadent! Their ingredients were of high quality and the flavors were spot on! I definitely plan on returning.

We were camping in the area and decided to venture to the adorable town of Volcano. We stumbled in to this charming bakery and were pleasantly surprised by the selection of goodies. The prices were a bit high, but for fresh made treats in a very small town, I expect that. The employees were very friendly. If I am in the area again I will definitely visit again.

Super cute small town bakery. Many of the reviews say that they thought the baked goods were a little overpriced, but you should know you get what you pay for. My favorites are the date bar(I hate dates… But I make an acceptation for this dessert) and the chocolate oat bar(rich and chewy and delicious). Whenever we stop here we always split the baked goods. Support local bakeries like this, we need more of them!

We heard so many God things about kneading dough. We walked by and was looking forward to a treat! We tried the cinnamon rolls. It was wary in the a.m. So we thought they would have«fresh» backed goods. I was told to warm them in the microwave for 10 seconds. They, 2, were tough and dry. The middle was a pleasant surprise! The taste was was warm and delicious. The roll overall was tough and chewy. Not what we were expecting.

The Kneading Dough Bakery is small town — very small town — friendly. I peeked in quickly and was tempted by many items in the display case. But between a late breakfast and my current diet, I took a «pass.» Several minutes later as DH and I were standing on a nearby corner taking pictures, a car pulled up and the driver rolled down her window. She said the bakery had some great items and also a good cup of coffee. I asked her what she recommended and she suggested the date bars. From the website, I can see that she must be the owner. Small town friendly. We did go back and buy a couple of cookies. $ 3 a piece is expensive … but tasty. If we are every in Volcano again, this will be our coffee stop.

Great service! I made a special birthday cupcake order over the phone. They did exactly the arrangement I wanted — within reasonable prices — and helped me out by delivering the order and send me a picture of the finished product. Once at the door, they even sang«Happy Birthday» to my sister, which I thought was so sweet! Being 500 miles away, it was an awesome way to give a personalized gift with no hassle!

Lately I’ve been buying their products at the farmers market in Jackson, and have to admit they’ve been pretty disappointing. The prices have gone up a lot or maybe are higher than at the store, but at any rate are too much. I think $ 7. for a small loaf of bread and 3 to 4 dollars for one cinnamon roll or a bear claw that has very little filling in it and is really pretty tasteless is just too much. This is the type of thing that drives me at times to do my own baking, because the prices of baked goods in stores is ridiculous also, and I can’t figure out why. Sugar and flour just don’t cost that much(and the smell in the house when you bake is fantastic). So, if you’re in Volcano and want a snack while there, you’ll probably be happy, but I’m not going to buy anymore of their stuff to take home. Sorry, Nana.

Several visits over the past year with very tasty options! I am always happy with my treats! Today was a tamale pie to go. This frozen lunch item fit perfect in my office toaster oven, and was better than the one my mother made! I want to go early to try the chicken pot pie I bought for breakfast. My daughters really enjoyed the chocolate death tortes I brought home.

Such a delightful find! Without good cell service to look at Unilocal to aid a decision(such a crutch!) we popped into this gem looking for a light lunch for me and a filling lunch for my husband. I chose a quiche(although the chili cheese soufflé looked delicious as well, as did a spinach and feta pastry). The quiche was simple but yummy, and the crust was very good. My husband chose a meatloaf(cold) sandwich, which he said was very good. We also took a delicious chocolate chip cookie for the road and a loaf of sprouted kamut and spelt bread – exciting for me. There was a variety of other(many more typical bakery option) breads, and quite a selection is gluten free baked goods. I did not ask, but assumed that since it is a small bakery there would be a chance of cross-contamination so I’d ask if that were an issue to you. Jackie, the baker, was thrilled that I’d heard of kamut, and she just made me look forward to experimenting with baking bread again. Loved her.

This is a nice mom & pop style bakery. Nothing fancy-they don’t even have an espresso machine(!). The stuff we tried was great though and very reasonably priced. I had a strata and husband had the quiche. We also got a cookie and a bear claw to go. The bear claw was very fresh, flaky and yummy with a good almond flavor. Husband’s cookie had coconut, pineapple and mango and was quite tasty also. The people working there were super nice and let us eat first and pay when we were done. Would definitely come back again when in the area.

Passing through Volcano stopped by this bakery to grab some cookies for a snack. They were really good and fresh. A bit over priced. Service was very helpful and friendly as we stared at the bakery case for 5 minutes plus trying to decide what goodies to buy.

Got my pumpkin pies for holidays and was NOT disappointed. Pies were delicious. They cost more than Safeway but… the taste is fabulous!!! Love this place. Also, their«chilli» is sensational. xxoo to Kneading Doug Bakery!

Delicious! We were in the area and although we were still stuffed from lunch, we heard how great this place was, so we stopped and took home a few things. The bacon broccoli quiche– very tasty and great crust! The best brownie– I don’t know about«best» but certainly pretty darn good! The buckeye– umm genius… about time someone figured out how to sell cookie dough(it’s like peanut butter cookie dough dipped in chocolate). The german chocolate cupcake– moist and yummy. The mango pineapple cookie– surprisingly not overly fruity, just very moist and soft, more like a sugar cookie on steroids. Whew! We tried a lot, but it took a while, I bet all these delicious treats are even better hot out of the oven! I’m from what I would consider a small town, but Volcano has everyone beat in the small category(I believe the population is somewhere between 100 – 200). Even given that they have some pretty legit places to eat! So don’t worry– if you visit, you will not go hungry!

What can I say? The molasses cookies are the best I have ever had. The gluten free selection is amazing. Customer service is top-notch, when I told Jackie(the owner) I did not care for something I bought, she gave me something else in exchange. I can’t wait to go back to try something else from her large selection of goodies.
