This is a lovely place to have a delicious breakfast, but only 3 mornings a week, Thurs-​Sat. It is worth seeking out, the atmosphere is charming and homey, like you are getting a home-​cooked meal. They try to source everything locally, like fresh laid eggs and locally roasted coffee. They are co-​located with a bakery, which operates on the other days of the week. I have had bacon and eggs, delicious pancakes and most recently a dynamite breakfast sandwich. The prices are super reasonable, a great breakfast with beverage for $ 7! It is in an old stone building, with tons of character. A fun and friendly place to hang out and have some really good food.

Well, this is pretty confusing, Unilocalers. There are two businesses at this location. One is called the Jug and Rose, but not the Jug and Rose of old. This business is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It’s a small place with a variable and a very limited breakfast menu but the setting is charming and there’s no other breakfast like this for miles around so if you’re in town on one of those days and want breakfast, before 11:00, this is it. After 11:00, they sell baked goods from the other business until mid-​afternoon.
