I’ve been saving Mother Earth for a day that I needed some cheering up. They are always so packed it’s easy to get lost in the crowed here. Multiple TVs and huge open dog friendly place with a massive bar. ME is the place to go for birthday occasions, sports viewing, and to get your doggie some love. I continued exploring my new found love for 50/50’s here. Delicious and a good signature of theirs. They don’t have a food menu but if you order from Urbn they will walk it over to you. Best of both worlds here!

9:52 and they are turning out the lights, being so rude kicking everyone out. Wait I thought they closed at 10:00? Great customer service

These guys make awesome beer, sin-tax is one of my favorites. They usually have something new and different on tap too. There is always plenty of space to hang out which is great.

This place hits all of my requirements for a great experience. Great beers, great atmosphere, and a great place to get food. Urbn Pizza across the street is a must when visiting this brewery. Everybody knows about Cali Creamin but Mother Earth has so many more great beers.

What a lovely group of people! Jason, the head brewer is a gem of a guy and made me feel like family my first time hanging out there. Oh, and of course, the beer’s good! A great variety of choices and I even got to try a specialty beer that was only on tap for the day. If you like pizza, Urbn Pizza is a great pairing with a round of beers. This place has all you need for a good evening!

Place is pretty cool. Big, large tasting area with plenty of seating and space to hang out. Close to a lot of food joints as well. We ordered delivery from URBN and it was the perfect compliment to our beer flights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I just wasn’t a fan of most of their beers. Got a flight with their most popular handles. Sin tax imperial stout:(2) not much stout, not much peanut butter. We just came back from bear roots and their peanut butter stout blew this one away. Cali creamin:(3) apparently their flagship brew. It had decent flavor but on the sweet side. Kismet IPA:(3) creamy. Blonde:(2) just okay. a little weak flavored. Honcho Hefe:(2) very mild. not much body. Overall, nice tasting area and in the middle of a good place to walk around. You can order delivery from URBN who has some pretty decent pizza. Just not a big fan of their handles. At least I can check this one off the list.

Mother Earth’s location/setting is perfect. I enjoy drinking beer + ordering pizza from URBN. I really like the Boo Koo and Sin Tax. The Cali’ Creamin’ is flavorful, but too sweet for a full pint/pour. Mother Earth is dog & kid friendly. My complaint… they will not fill unmarked/blank Hydroflask growlers. I filled my Hydroflask on several occasions and during my most recent visit I was denied. A purchase is a purchase, so it shouldn’t matter & consistency is key.

I have been in before a few times. It’s packed always, huge beer selection. I had the Pomegranete somethingorother. Delicious. Last call is super early. No food. But you can get food delivered I believe from Urban Pizza across the street. I have not done this but I have heard tell of it.

Great place to just chill and grab a Cali Creamin! Quick service and good prices. Pet Friendly. They don’t serve food, but you can bring in food from outside vendors.

Giving it a 4. I wish i new the name of the beer they gave but it was light and smooth exactly what i asked for. Plus lots of hot chicks there.

Really fun vibe in this place. Exposed brick, big open warehouse type with big doors that open to let the sun in. It looks like there are mainly locals in here which is fun. They have an awesome beer selection– I chose the Vanilla cream ale. It is great. They also offer a lot of flights. This would be a fun place to go when our friends come down. I’ll definitely be back!

Mother Earth is a pretty cool spot with some pretty solid brews. This place is actually rather large complete with indoor and outdoor patio seating. The brews are delicious, IPA is decent and the Cali Creamin is pretty good, especially on a warm day. Overall, this place is a great brewery and a wonderful add to the society of Vista. Pros– Drinks Service Overall size Location Pet friendly Patio seating Location Cons– No food but can be bought across the street Sometimes parking Late crowds

5-star ambiance and 4-star beer. Really amazing location and great buildout for this brewery’s main tasting room.(The production facility’s tasting room is drab and not recommended.) Staff were friendly, quick, and on-point. They took care of a massive Saturday crowd of 200 patrons. At least 20 house beers on tap ranging from IPAs to barrel aged imperial stouts to Berliner Weisse(sour). Beer quality was certainly in the 4-star range with almost no brewing flaws. Some beers were a tad astringent, but still drinkable. Our large group universally had a great time. You can get URBN Pizza to deliver inside here for free, which is a great combo as they do not have a kitchen at Mother Earth. Tasters available in flutes or full pints served in Nonic Pint glasses.

Open air public house that’s dog and kid friendly… I love that! This was the 2nd stop on my brewery crawl with my friends. Very chill vibe. Not a fancy place, but cool to hang out and throw some back. The staff was friendly and helpful in finding my flight choices. There’s six 4 oz choices in a reasonably priced flight. My choices were Cali Creamin’ Vanilla Cream Ale, Boo Koo IPA, Dubbel, Nitro Stout, Imagination Land, Honcho Hefe. I usually like to stick to the lighter side of beers, but all the selection was very good! My favorite has to be the Cali Creamin’. There are many more to choose from! They don’t serve food here, but you may bring in food or order from neighboring businesses. We have seen delivery from across the street. There’s a refrigerator with beer for purchase to-go. And I also seen growlers being filled for to-go. Located in a small town in the beginning of a business strip, parking is street, or lot if you can find one. I definitely enjoyed this place! I hope I will be back!

Mother Earth’s flagship beer, or at least its most popular brew, is Cali’ Creamin’. And I don’t like Cali’ Creamin’. It’s a bit too sweet for me. But I really enjoyed my flight. I, with the non-help of the friendly but clueless, bar gal, selected four different beers, including the«cask» sampler. I mean, please, help a brother out. You work here. I don’t. You should know what the beers taste like. And don’t recommend Cali’ Creamin’ to me immediately after I said I didn’t like it that much.(I still left her a nice tip.) Regardless, I liked all the beers in my flight. Plus, four large tastes only cost me $ 8. Nice, comfortable environment, too: large TV, kid-friendly and dog-friendly. One suggestion to Mother Earth: make it clear you can bring food in or order it. You can do both but this fact is not mentioned anywhere. People will stay longer, and drink more, if they can nosh with their beer. Good times.

I was first turned on to Mother Earth through my friend’s recommendation at Total Wine that I try Cali Creamin’. I was blown away by the taste and had to then definitely visit the actual brewery/tasting room. The place has a real chill vibe with an old Verizon phone booth and a collection of old beer cans. All of their beers are on point but my personal favorites are Sin Tax and Cali Creamin’. Some other cool observations: –They are dog-friendly so bring the pooch! :P –They allow outside food as they do not serve any. I personally recommend buying a pizza at URBN across the street and head back over to Mother Earth for some beer. An URBN employee will walk your pizza over to you! –I’m not a home brewer myself(would never have the time for it) but they also have a home brew store next-door for all your needed supplies.

Overall a good place. Nothing too particularly special. Good not great beer. Nice but not awesome tasting room. Acceptable but not friendly staff. The cali creamin ale was.good. The coffee porter on Nitro was memorable. But otherwise. nothing really stood out. Worth a. stop if you’re in the area but not worth a trek to Vista for. They dont fill blank growlers. So, be prepared to your collection if you want to take some with

I left this over on the Brew Company Page(Same Address so I’m not sure the difference?) Ahhh. Finally a chance to step into the Motherland. Having enjoyed the Cali Cream for months at my place of employment, I couldn’t wait to taste it straight from the source. I actually skipped the Cali Cream and jumped to the Barely Legal(6% Blonde). Mmmm mm. Not quite a true blonde. This one has a slight bite to it but still refreshing and delicious. Dog friendly through 100% of the bar. Nice open patio area. High ceilings with significant natural light and a beautiful long wall of exposed brick. Love love love the décor. Feels like a warehouse loft somewhere in downtown. No food but hop on over to Urbn for a pizza or two and bring it back over to enjoy with your beer. Yes it’s allowed. And it’s awesome. 4 stars for the lackluster personality of the employees. The exposed brick was more intriguing than these gals. You’re working for one of the best breweries in SD. Is a smile too much to ask for?

San Diego County Craft Brewery Road Trip Week! When the beer nerd friend I homebrew with(& fellow Unilocal Elite) planned a week vacation down in San Diego with the wife & kids, he asked if I might want to take that same week off & go down there too. Hmmm, a whole week of drinking beer at craft breweries all over San Diego County? Oh Hell yeah! Epic brewery Wednesday stop #3! Unlike many of our beer stops on this trip, this Mother Earth location is a taproom not a production brewery. As such, it’s not off in some far-flung industrial area but is pretty much smack dab in the middle of Vista’s cutesy little downtown. Parking in front on the street was a breeze. Even for a Wednesday night, it was fairly busy with a lively crowd. Inside, it’s a big & airy-feeling space with the wide open store front. The walls are adorned with some cool wall art & there’s a couple flat-panel TV’s behind the bar. Service was attentive as we decided to load up on tasters, which were $ 2/6oz. each. Below are my notes from Untappd: * Cali’ Creamin’ Vanilla Cream Ale: 4/5, delicious * Pin Up Pale Ale: 4/5, big, big pale, very good * Kismet IPA: 3.5÷5, with Nelson hops, but the Nelson is somehow different, can tell it’s Nelson but not like any other Nelson I’ve had, interesting * Sin-Tax Imperial Stout(Peanut Butter): 3.5÷5, 3rd peanut butter beer I’ve had in the last few days, my least favorite so far, but still decent * 19: 4.5÷5, damn good IPA * Por Que No?: 4/5, big brown, pretty good * Honcho Hefe: 1/5, disappointing, kinda awful * Siren Blonde Ale: 4/5, solid Blonde * Hop Diggity DIPA: 3.5÷5, great aroma, little light in body, tad sweet & not as much dry hop flavor as I was hoping for Overall, there’s a good selection of beers at the Mother Earth Tap House. & just about every beer I tasted was good, better, or great. With 1 exception, the Honcho Hefe. I’ll admit, for Hefeweizens, I’m a big banana/ester guy. But even shooting for more of a balance or more cloves, the Honcho Hefe still seemed off. While diligently sipping our way through our tasters, we kept seeing these giant enticing pizzas showing up at other tables. The Mother Earth Tap House has no kitchen. Turns out that URBN pizza is right across the street. The beer nerd friend had seen enough & ordered 1. A ginormous URBN pie was the way to go on such a beer-soaked day. The Mother Earth Tap House is a cool spot in a nice location out in Vista to hang out & have some really very good beers. Although I wasn’t feeling the Honcho Hefe at all, there were plenty of other excellent options. Like 19& Cali’ Creamin’. I’m not sure if they bottle 19, but I did find 22’s of Cali’ Creamin’. A few bottles of that made the trip home at the end of the week.
