Mariscos Las Palmas

Well I have been consistently coming to Las Palmas for some time now and the food, service and price have been great. What makes it even better is that you get a 10% discount if you checkin on Unilocal before paying the bill. Can’t beat that. They will even serve your burrito wet if you want which not all places do. Try this place out hopefully you will be as satisfied as I have been.

This place is the heat! Quick service and tasty burritos. Gives these guys a try and you’ll likely become a regular!

Ever craving Mexican but don’t feel like doing the whole sit down thing? This is my spot. Call in my order they usually have it ready in about 10 minutes. If they delivered it’ll be perfect. But it’s close enough to my house and worth it. So good. Sometimes it gets pretty busy because the food is amazing. So it’s nice to walk right and pick up my order. Although from the pictures I should sit down one of these days the drinks look amazing! Either way you won’t be disappointed!

Food is good, but the service is terrible. There is one waitress in particular who is constantly rude no matter what. The other servers are decent. They are mostly nice. But the service is a major bummer. This is the reason I don’t go here often.

Very good Mexican food and seafood. Among Mexican restaurants this place gets five stars for a combination of great food, good service and good prices,
Dinner visit: We had the Mariscada seafood platter (shrimp & octopus ceviche, cooked whole shrimp, oysters and cucumber slices) and the pollo asado plate.
Food platters heaped with a lot of food, more than enough for one, almost enough for two per entrée. The oysters on the Mariscada platter looked a little odd, as they were very plump looking popping out of the half shell as if they had been plumped up with water, but were good and fresh. I would say that the Mariscada dish was somewhat more of a salad than a ceviche style, but very good.
The pollo asado was very good too.
She had a Michelada, which she said was very good with tamarind at the base to add tartness.
Good Mexican music playing in the background from what appeared to be streaming from Pandora or Spotify. Nice attentive service including from our server Ana.
Prices quite reasonable, although of course the Mariscada platter was expensive compared to other entrees but in line with what seafood dishes cost. Open until 10pm which is good for north county inland where a lot of restaurants stop serving at 9.
All in all a great Mexican restaurant, one of the best ones have been to for over all food and service.

Enjoyed the Mexican food. Reasonable prices, will come back to try the seafood next time.

Best Mexican joint in SoCal. Food is fantastic! Prices are stupid cheap.

This place was introduced to me by a friend a couple years ago. It is by far my favorite place for Mexican food. The food is incredible. My personal favorite is the breaded shrimp burrito. The homemade salsa is to die for. Many times I take some home with me. The service is always very friendly and attentive even in a night like tonight where there is a line at the door waiting for tables.

Best seafood in Vista love to go eat and watch the games there. I talked to one of the owners and you can tell he’s passionate about food that’s why I go there all the time.

This place has gotten so much better in terms of customer service. The food and price were always good.

As a Gringo who has lived in Cabo San Lucas this place is the real real! «Fish Taco Carne Asada Taco The Salsa and Peppers Bar. All good in this Neighborhood Joint!

Amazing service! Food was delicious but the 5 stars definitely go to their server Diego! Super attentive and friendly! Ordered the camarones culichi and camarones a la diabla. First time trying this place and as mentioned their server is great! Some of the best service I’ve had to date!

I always enjoy coming here for fresh carne Assad fries, I called in today at 945, 15 min prior to closing and the girl that answered said it was too late to place an order «to go» for carne Asada fries I asked but don’t you guys close at 10? Her answer was yes we do but we are cleaning already?! Are you kidding me wow I’m shocked so much for customer service

OMG, this place is soooooo good! I had literally the best entrée ever and the rice was so fresh. And the micheladas were so delicious. Service was so great, and Diego… hands down is the best ever. Great service, great food, great drinks, and extremely affordable! Thank you Diego for such a good experience!!!

Had lunch with a coworker here and would gladly return. The even customized our orders upon or request with no fuss.

Great atmosphere. A real hole-​in-​the-​wall gem in Vista, California. Freshly fried tortilla chips and homemade salsa provided at every table? Count me in.
The vibe of this establishment is very inviting and home-​y. The wait staff is very committed and attentive unlike many other restaurants these days.
As of now, I have only tried less than a handful of items on their menu but I have to say it: Please try their grilled fish burrito. It is of the quintessential style of «Taco Tuesday» fish tacos only to be super-​sized into burrito form. It is so, very large even a man of my size has trouble finishing it at times. I always pull through though don’t worry. Hate wasting comida deliciosa! Seriously though, I don’t know what food god works en la cocina but I wish I could kiss him. He’s a pro.
It’s a bonus that us Unilocalers receive 10% off our entire check. I believe I have received the discount twice already so I don’t think it’s a limited-​time only deal. Politely let your waiter/​waitress aware and they will happily accommodate your table.
Anywho, come here! They’re known for their Mariscos so that is next on the list for me.

I ordered the chili relleno a la carte (which would fill me up by itself), but I also got the fish ceviche (which ALSO could’ve filled me up by itself haha). Both were great, and despite them both being too much for me, I gobbled it up anyways. Good food is one thing, but what really made my experience was the great service! I will definitely be coming back with my boyfriend for a great date night!

I was really disappointed in this place with all the good reviews I saw.
Poor service, awful drinks (couldn’t even make a decent margarita), mediocre food.
I won’t be coming back again. There is way too much potential out there when it comes to great Mexican food in Southern California. This place is definitely not one of them.

My fourth visit here, always a hit or miss with customer service, tonights waitress did a good job.
We ordered:
two fish tacos– soo good, loaded with toppings
Caldo de pollo– loaded with vegetables, very delicious
Campechana– too sweet for my liking. meh
Fish ceviche tostadas– loaded with fish, but still average flavor.
I enjoy this place because it has a wide range of menu options with reasonable prices. However, be careful on weekends, it gets very busy and customer service is pretty shitty!

Awesome Mexican food. Awesome prices! Authentic as can be! My brother’s choice as he lives in Vista. Before we even came in for dinner I was amazed by all the Unilocal pictures that were posted. I was totally looking forward to dinner after my drive down from LA!
The waitresses were super cool. Food was delivered to our table super fast and fresh! There was a spicy salsa bar with about 5 – 6 salsas. The televisions had the World Cup on. My carnitas combo plate was good (the pork was soft and tasty). My brother’s fried fish burrito was good. Our table also had chicken fajitas (on par), a couple of shrimp plates (big and tasty shrimps). Washed it down with a sweet horchata!
