Had a root canal here but was seen by Dr. Monroe. Very good doctor. Felt well taken care of the entire time. Was fighting my nerves a bit considering I was about to have a root canal. But both Dr. Monroe and His assistant Marlana were both very pleasant and friendly. Also Dr Monroe I thought was very good at gaging my comfort level, taking care of little details such as massaging my jaw when he was giving me a shot close to my nerve, putting a jaw rest on me while working, drilling down this sharp area of my tooth that was aggravating my tongue before I had the official crown placed. Also I had a slight cough and was concerned I would start coughing uncontrollably during the root canal. They said just to let them know. And I did, about 2⁄3 of the way through the procedure. And they read my cues right away(cause you can’t really talk) and Marlana got me water which calmed my cough and dr handled it well and I was able to get through it just fine. I did have to do the procedure in two appointments which Dr. Monroe said was necessary even though I really didn’t want to have to do it twice. But dr knows best, lol! And they assured me it would not cost anymore, so that was good. The whole procedure was a little over a thousand dollars(average price) My ins paid for most of it though my ins is now maxed out. So I’ll be paying cash for all my dental work from here on out. I have to have two more root canals unfortunately, but there not causing me any pain at the moment so I’ve decided to wait a little longer before I take care of those.
