I’ve reviewed their location near downtown and didn’t give it such great reviews but it’s only fair that I give credit where it’s due. I love this location very much! I have been here a few times including yesterday and have had great experiences! Never a complaint about the food from my husband or myself. I called in the order so I could just pick it up and it was right on time. Will keep going to this location for sure!

Pita Kabob is one of the city’s best restaurants because it offers diners a unique menu that serves to combat the often bland pallet choices the valley offers. Plus, the family that owns the restaurants is very friendly.

Very nice décor and clean. Helpful and peppy cashiers/waiters. Awesome tasting shawarma. The restaurant also seems like it doubles as a Mediterranean grocery, selling specialty items. Will definitely be back. Maybe try the hummus next time.

Lamb is fresh and perfectly cooked, pita bread fresh, hummus perfect, dolma perfect. Wonderful grilled tomato. Generous serving. Good service. Yoghurt –cucumber dressing very sour, I like it a little bit milder, but still really goid, very authentic. Fresh brewed tea. I’ve been coming here for years, the quality has not diminished a bit.

Rude poor customer service! I called to place an order for the first time and had questions about the type of beef they use. The girl on the phone couldn’t tell me and handed off the phone to the owner. Then the owner pretty much told me they were too busy and couldn’t be on the phone for too long. Not coming back, I’ll take my business else where.

Let me start with the freshness factor here, it is which in English translates to awesome. I’m Lebanese and this place is so good I think it’s one of the best in the state. The shawarma hummus is delicious. Spiced perfectly and on a bed of perfectly done hummus. The kabobs are juicey and I get the chicken kabob a la carte with garlic dip. So good. Tabbouleh…don’t even get me started, hold me back… it’s awesome and rare for someone to serve freshly made chopped parsley. You can tell what’s made from scratch here and its homemade like no ones business. So happy to get to eat here and have a taste of Lebanon on my work trips. Way to go!

The food is average portions are small. You may have hard time getting full from lunch special. You only get one side with the lamb special and costing you $ 14.50 hardly placing a dent for you hunger for prices of an arm and a leg. I will NOT recommend this one to anyone. It is toooooo expensive for nothing. They give Just 4 small pieces of lamb rice bred hardly filling. Hope they improve their portions and price.

Found the place on Unilocal during a road trip from Arizona back up on the 99. Food was fresh and tasty. Restaurant was clean. Staff was apparently anxious to leave for the day, as we arrived 30 minutes before close and they were mopping, bringing in tables and chairs from outside, and pulling mats off the floor during or meal.

I found this place because of its high Unilocal rating. It fully lived up to expectations. We visited on a Thursday at 4:30pm so it was quite empty, but with steady take-out orders. My husband wasn’t too hungry, so he ordered a Dale’s amber ale. I ordered a half size kabob salad. I could choose between chicken, beef, and lamb; I had to go with lamb, since it’s a rare thing for me to get. I was then asked if I wanted it in chunks or thinly sliced, and I chose the latter. I also appreciated that I was asked if I wanted my dressing on the side. After a short wait in the pleasant dining room, my salad came out. It was HUGE! I was glad I ordered the half size. There must have been 6 or 8 ounces of meat on there. The salad itself was very simple with Romaine, a few grape tomatoes and Greek olives, cucumber slices, feta, lamb, onions, and generous pita crisps, but it was absolutely delicious. It didn’t require much additional dressing. I’m very pleased with my meal and the full experience. I’d love to visit this location again and try the gastropub location, too.

The food and service were excellent! The lamb kebabs were amazing, along with the greek salad and hummus sides that all went perfect together. Will definitely come back when in the area

Amazing food and great service. The server Kylie really went the extra mile to make sure my hunger was quenched. She allowed me to try their desert and it was amazing(it was a honey cake thing). You’ll feel GREAT after eating here!

Came in for some fuel before going shopping. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The vegetarian combo I ordered was served with real silverware. This is great– because eating with plastic utensils is not the way to go. Service was very efficient but not very friendly. There was music playing while the TV was showing a sports show which made for sensory overload. There are plenty of seats indoors and out. My combo plate was HUGE. This could be a meal shared– I couldn’t finish it all. Prices were a bit steep at $ 14. There is an area to browse with canned goods and some fresh pastries to buy.

The food is always amazing. I am the type of guy who likes trying new things. Since I am not a regular with a Greek menu, I find myself reaching to the staff for suggestions but on more than one occasion the customer service fell short. Now, with negative out of the way there are several things that make this a five-star eatery. The restaurant is very clean, there is a great beer selection, and the cooks really know what they are doing. The hummus is to notch. The pilaf is flavorful and airy and the lamb is always cooked to perfection. I really want to give this restaurant five stars but I hesitate only because the customer service could just that much better.

First time here and it was truly delicious… The portions are pretty big which evens out the cost, and the Chicken Kabob has great flavor. You MUST try the Cilantro-Jalapeño Hummus! It’s not spicy but full of flavor and compliments the meal.

Stopped by for a late lunch, enroute to a quincenera in a couple of hours. Lots of menu choices in either, salad, sandwich or plate form. Had their cilantro/jalepeno hummus which was pretty tasty. The family had chicken salads which were really good too.

I’m not from Visalia, I was just here for some job apps and wanted to try something different from the norm. First impression was good. It was nice and clean inside. It was quiet and not busy. They have a tv and were playing music for a while which was nice. I did notice a lot of tables were reserved but apparently that’s for families of 3 or more. I’m not a big Mediterranean food person so I went with something safe, the lunch special beef kebob. It came with a side and I chose rice pilaf since I was pretty hungry. The reviews race about their cilantro jalapeño hummus so I asked her if I could try it, as in sample but apparently that sample costs .99! Then I added pita bread since you can’t eat at Pita Kabob without eating a pita,(that’s additional too). The food took a good while considering I was the only one waiting on good but it was very pretty when I got it. Once I inspected, I realized I had a large side of rice, a mound(10 slices to be exact) of pita bread, half a tomato, half of an onion, 2 ounces of hummus and 2 ounces of some other white sauce which I did not like, and about 5 cubes of meat. I was pretty disappointed considering the starting price of 9.99 turning to $ 13 for a lunch size meal. I should have gotten the combo plate which came with 2 sides and was $ 12.99. The meat was a little on the dry side but still very delicious! The rice was… well rice pilaf, but done very well and flavorful too. The hummus was the best! I loved it, it was good I got the bread or I would have eating the whole thing in one spoonful! Haha.(Get it? Cause it was a 2 oz cup?) lol. The one thing I didn’t like was that the girl was sweeping under my table while I was eating, pulling out all the chairs and everything! Awkward! All in all, I would recommend it, just be prepared for the dent it will leave in your wallet!

As you walk into the restaurant, the bold red colors of the walls and furniture are a premonition of the things to come. Pita Kabob serves bold, flavorful food that’ll leave you wanting more! —-The Food — - Traditional Gyro Wrap with Lamb($ 6.79) — Whatever you do, get this on your first visit. And make sure to ask for that special garlic sauce because it’s deliciously out of this world. I could probably eat it with everything. The gyro has grilled onions, tomato, lettuce and is probably smaller than a Chipotle burrito, but what makes this shine is the protein! I don’t think I’ve ever had tastier or more tender lamb in my life. It’s cut in thin fashion and layered beautifully in taste. There’s a dizzying array of flavors – from peppery, umami, and subtle tanginess. Enclose all those tastes together with the garlic sauce and you’ll be a satisfied foodie. This meal comes with a tzatkiki sauce that I feel is a little underwhelming and thin so I could eat without it. Classic Kabob Pita w/Chicken($ 6.39) — The same things that are said above can be resonated here. The chicken is extremely juicy and flavored just as good as the lamb. Fries($ 2.99) — Thick cut fries that are probably from a frozen bag. Needed to be salted when it arrived at the table —- Conclusion: I’d never thought I’d say this, but I’m actually jealous of Visalia… jealous of the city for having such a gem of a restaurant. If Pita Kabob was located in OC or even LA, I’d frequent it at least once a week, that’s how great it is. The owners are from Lebanon and managed to make the seasoning of meat an art form. For any traveler who goes to Sequoia, I implore you to eat here for the tastes and the affordability… just be mindful of the time because they close early! Extra Notes –Accepts credit card –Very friendly, suggestive service –Seating available inside and out –Beer on tap available –Décor is red everythang –Restroom could be cleaner

This is a great little Mediterranean restaurant and deli with good food, excellent service, and a casual fun atmosphere. It is now very big. The tables are jam packed inside the small space with ables inside five low 4 seaters, eight low 2 seaters, and four high 2 seaters. The tables are packed in so expertly that it doesn’t feel cramped. The walls, tables, and chairs are the color of red clay with black accents, lending a very Mediterranean feel to the place. To the left is a large wooden shelving unit full of Mediterranean food items for sale. To the left is a refrigerated deli case where you can buy Bulgarian feta, kefir cheese, halloumi cheese, fillo dough, and two different kinds of Greek olives. There is a flat screen television mounted on one wall playing a local station. They have very helpful employees. When I told the girl behind the counter it was my first time there, she put a menu on counter, asked if I was familiar with Mediterranean food(I certainly was), and proceeded to tell me what their most popular dishes were. I ordered the classic gyro lunch special cones with one side and a drink for $ 9.75. I was told they were famous for their hummus so I chose that and she gave me a number, I filled my own drink, and took a seat at one of the high tables. The only diet option at the fountain was Diet Coke, but there was water and a variety of bottled juices in the cooler. I assumed I’d have to listen for my number and walk back to the counter to pick up my order, so imagine my delight when she brought my food right to the table. The gyro was excellent. The pita was soft and fresh and the vegetables were crisp. The hummus came in a large serving liberally covered in a high quality olive oil. I can see why they are famous for it. I’d definitely come back any time I’m in Visalia. There only downside was they have no public restrooms They advertised vegan and vegetarian friendly menu items if that’s your thing.
