First time at this location in the Landstown Commons. They are all very formula like a chain should be, but you know how that goes… not all stores are created equal. Landstown Commons is confusing, but this store is in the first section built in the middle with the the U shape drive with anchor Longhorn Steakhouse. If you have driven through the area for the holidays then you have been blinded by the green laser lights affixed to the trees for the holidays. Parking is challenging during busy times. My visit was around 8PM on a weekday in the rain. So guess what, I got a space in front of the joint. The lot and sidewalks were clear of debris which is always a great start for me prior to entering a business. A survey of the dining room revealed that we would be the only customers, at least for now any way. I spotted one worker, a young male. The place was tidy from floors to tables. Merchandise was presented well and the paint was in good condition, their trademark lime green. The layout typical Skinny Dip with seating in the center. Go to the left to enter the loop of Fro Yo heaven. If you care to pay attention to the sign prior to grabbing one of two size bowls you will find out how they charge on weighing. Three to four machines dispensing yogurt out of two of them. So 8 – 10 choices. The hallmark of these places is keeping the trays clean, they do get messy. For most part good, but some did have overflow of yogurt. The cake batter was the choice tonight after agonizing sampling in their small little cups. Your next step is the condiment bar full of anything and everything you can think of to add to your delicious cup… keep in mind it all adds up in the cost too! Your not quite done because you now have a choice of around 20 more add on’s such as m&m, reese’s pieces, nuts and more. Then finish it off with an automated whip machine, oh no… it would not dispense much and appeared to be running out. It was mentioned to the employee and acknowledged that it was running out. A few more customers had now come in by this time. The checkout was efficient and the young boy did ask if I was military so a discount could be applied. The small bowl was placed on the scale and the total was over $ 5 without tax, ouch! None of these places are cheap and Skinny Dip is on the higher end in my opinion. However, the quality is as good, if not better than others as well. This is a place I would return to and recommend.

I inherited a chihuahua a couple years ago and that little monster turned 13 today. As I am writing this review, she and her brother are crushing doggy dips. They’re happier than pigs rolling in shit. And as a dog parent, this is such a fun thing to watch. Heck, I almost gave the dogs the treat inside and took the froyo for myself. In my next life I want to be a dog that lives within a mile of The Skinny Dip.

Yogurt options here are pretty good, you have the standard vanilla and chocolate. Pumpkin cheesecake because it’s currently in season and red velvet! I wasn’t a big fan of the red velvet but the pumpkin cheesecake was good! Their topping layout is pretty neat also. They put their cheesecake and cookie dough bits in a bigger container which is what all yogurt places should do in my opinion! They do offer a military discount, ask for it!

Always a great experience. Tried the gelato cake batter, which is different than the usual. Love the cheesecake bites and fresh strawberries. Staff are always friendly and enthusiastic. Don’t forget about the military discount when you go!

Who doesn’t love froyo! This location is my go-to, just because it’s so conveniently located(Landstown Commons Shopping Center.) It’s always clean, they’re never out of toppings, and they always have the best flavors. Daily, they have the staples which include Strawberry, some type of Chocolate, and of course, Vanilla. Then they have the cool diff flavors, which they rotate and aren’t there daily, like Red Velvet, Watermelon, Nutella, and my recent and newest favorite, «Rice Crispies Treat» flavor, WHAT?! It was awesome! Another cool thing is that one time, I asked about a flavor, and they said that usually, if you call a day in advance and request a flavor(something they already have or have made before,) they can have that flavor for the next day! I’ve never actually requested anything, but thought it was cool that they would do that. :) I’m a fan; come & get your skinny dip — on! P. S. Don’t forget to check-in via Unilocal & show them your check-in when you pay — you get either free whipped cream & chocolate fudge, or they will only charge you a flat $ 3 for a small bowl of froyo!

A five star on the cashier alone. We walked in and she greeted us and she sounded so sincere and sweet. We got our ice cream and everything was very clean. They had some pretty good flavors put out. I got cupcake and vanilla. When we took it too the register she complimented us on our choices, she smiled, and was just so friendly. Thats not something you see alot these days, especially in these kinds of businesses. Overall great experience at this place. Ive been to other skinny dips and this one is by far the best.

The majority of frozen yogurt joints have set out bowls of toppings similar to salad bars, where you have the items mostly exposed but protected by a sneeze guard. I know I’ve seen little ones who can reach stick their hands in the toppings. It’s gross and it’s the biggest reason that I prefer spots like PinkBerry where an attendant does the serving of toppings. Skinny Dip has the same sort of set up, where you grab your dish(small and large ones are available, and sampling size), fill it with as much froyo as you think you want, then there’s one small table of toppings that are exposed. These are the«wet» things, such as strawberries and brownies and wet walnuts. If you’re a germophobe like me, you’re gonna step on past this and visit the two dozen or so dispensers where the toppings come out as you turn the dial. Sprinkles, cereal bits, M&M’s, coconut, and four different ones of nuts. All much more sanitary and protected from the greasy fingers of the little kids. Beyond that is the liquid toppings like hot fudge, peanut butter topping, butterscotch and whipped cream made to order in a machine. Then you get weighed as you pay by weight of your dish. A decent sized seating area in the center of the place, or you can sit outside by the fountain. Organized froyo. I could get to like this place!

It’s a good place in an excellent location. It’s very close to quite a few restaurants so it makes for an easy walk to get dessert. I was a bit bummed that, of the many NSA options that are on their menu, none were available. I settled on ultimate chocolate which was definitely chocolaty! Here’s where I find Skinny Dip to fall short of my favorite, Sweet Frog. Skinny Dip offered fewer fruit toppings and the majority of toppings were in dispensers on the wall. This poses two problems for me — 1. Portion control. There are some things where even one turn of the dispenser is too much, and 2. Distribution. When it comes to toppings, I’m a «sprinkler» and not a «dumper.» Don’t really get this option with the dispenser concept. Still, price is good, just like the other frozen yogurt shops. Service is comparable. Number of obnoxious screaming kids is also comparable. If I’m out this way again, I’d likely stop in.

Biased when it comes to froyo. I prefer more tart flavors and fruity toppings. Skinny Dip is more on the indulgent side. It honestly taste like ice cream to me. Nonetheless, Skinny Dip is notoriously known in the 757 with 9 locations they know how to run business. Skinny Dip has been around for a while since 2009-10. It was one of the first places to introduce frozen yogurt in the area. I remember going to this location when they first opened in Landstown Commons, they only had 4 booths, and 2 outdoor tables. It definitely has gotten huge in the past years. They expanded into a bigger location quadruple the size right across next to Hair Cuttery. I like to get the southern strawberry with brownies, cheesecake, cookie dough, peanuts, fruity pebbles, topped with hot fudge. Their topping selection compared to other places is a lot bigger, they offer more desserts, nuts, and cereals. I usually like to go to Yomama, Sweet Frog, or Tini’s, because their froyo is more tart and they have more fruits there. Skinny dip accepts competitors coupons save yourself $ 4 bucks you might as well get a quart of icecream at the grocery store.

Went here during the week that Hurricane Sandy hit and was surprised that they were open. Even more surprised that they had customers in the store. The store had a cool promotion since the entire coast was going through some hardship, offering $ 2 yogurts for anything that fit in the smaller cup, no matter the weight. Yogurt quality wasn’t too bad. They also had a good amount of toppings as well. Cool place and one that I would visit again.

Skinny Dip is AMAZING! I love this place. I admit I don’t go as often as I used to… when I first discovered this place about 2 years ago I went a few times a week. Now it’s more like once every couple months. The flavors of the day are great and I love that you can select your own toppings and have as few or as many as you like. They have 8 – 10 or so different flavors a day and you can mix and match to your liking. The«bar» has fresh strawberries, cherries, bananas, blueberries and cake pieces. The toppings on the walls include some dry cereal, assorted nuts, etc. They also have sprinkles, wet nuts, hot fudge and hot caramel. Word of warning — don’t let your eyes be bigger than your stomach as it will be hard to eat it all AND it will be expensive. You might end up paying $ 7 if you go overboard with the toppings! It has happened to me before! I tend for the more simple now on my visits with one or two mixed flavors of yogurt and one or two simple fresh toppings. This place is delish and they offer student discounts of 10% off as well as military discounts of 10%. They also update their daily flavors on Facebook so you can check their flavors before leaving the house — which I love. It does get VERY crowded on hot afternoons and loud but as long as you can stand the noise and long line(which isn’t all the time) it’s worth the wait.
