The Skinny Dip Frozen Yogurt Bar

It’s your typical, average, bright cheerful Froyo joint! Today I had to have the orange pineapple (DELICIOUS and tasted like a creamsicle) mixed with strawberry only because the Coconut Mango was acting wonky.
Before leaving I bought 2 doggy dips ($ 1 each!) to which my dog thoroughly enjoyed when I got home. Winning.

I love how Virginia Beach has a million different frozen yogurt shops to choose from because it seems like they are either good at one thing or the other.
With that said, I love coming to Skinny Dip if I’m craving DESSERT and lots of it. I’m talking about Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Gelato Cake Batter froyo topped with a mountain of cheesecake, chocolate chip cookie dough pieces, Oreos, and hot fudge.
If I’m craving tarty flavors with fresh fruit, this is definitely not the spot. I’ll skip right over their old, cut up fruit (unless it’s the blueberries!) and go straight for the junk.
They just added new stuff too, like a mixer for frozen yogurt milkshakes and waffle cones! They don’t always have them out though, so just keep that in mind!

I love froyo bars! I’m glad they have little places like this exist all around me. My go to place is another popular chain but since I was closer to this spot, I just went for it.
It was clean, nice Christian music playing, and friendly lady working behind the counter. They have good flavors– southern strawberry was my fave.
Plenty of fresh fruits & toppings. I think the «other froyo bar» has better selections of both ice cream and toppings for me. But overall this location is a winner!

Our place to go when it comes to some frozen yogurt! The flavors never disappoint, always clean, and the staff is very friendly.

Always has the flavors advertised, clean, and friendly staff! Its our go to place. Wish they had more sugar free choices but understand why its usually Chocolate or Vanilla!

Apple Pie and Crème Brulee both worth the calories. Skinny Dip never disappoints

Great place for dessert. Lots of flavors to choose from and great service. Just watch out for the toppings as they can add up quickly. One of my favorite flavors is the carrot cake.

Hands down, Skinny Dip is the best frozen yogurt bar in town.
First and foremost, the flavors taste natural, intense, and distinguished.
They keep the classic flavors always available, such as vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and more. They rotate other, more unique flavors, so they are available from time to time. While I am crazy for Island Banana, I am never disappointed when it is not available when I happen to stop in. The other flavors on hand are plenty delicious.
Other frozen yogurt bars do not compare in my opinion.
To me the other bars seem to overcompensate lack of flavor and quality with excessive sweetness, and a barrage of toppings that seem extraneous. Skinny Dip, on the other hand, tends to have toppings that compliments it’s yogurts, and not distract from them.
The other yogurt places also tend to have decorums which are colorful, and ‘fun’ enough, but again, seem to overcompensate for the lower quality of yogurt. Skinny Dip has a nice simple decorum that is comfortable, inviting fun, and friendly, like it’s staff.
While businesses have to do certain things to stay relevant, I hope Skinny Dip does not change their superior quality recipe. I’ve tried all the rest, and Skinny Dip is still the best!

Great customer service !!! With thirteen different flavors go choose from you can’t go wrong. So many choices for sides or add ons it’ gets complicated!!! Special on shirts also !!

This has to be the best place for frozen yogurt! I have been to many yogurt places and I find that this establishment may be a bit more expensive, but they change out their flavors very often, they have all kinds of items to put on top, and the people at the Kempsville location were so very kind to me and my family. Not only did they greet us with a «YO», but they took our bowls too!
I liked the fact that I can go healthy and put fruit in my bowl, or go unhealthy and eat all of the cookies and candy. Their product is #1 in my book.
To the owners, thank you for creating such a great establishment that anyone can enjoy!

Love this place good ice cream yogurt .a lot of fresh ingredients ! Always a good place to go after dinner !

I frequent the Skinny Dip alot more than I should. Working near one makes it easy for an after lunch sweet treat. I do enjoy it even though it is not made with the most wonderful ingredients. Alot of chemical additives. I wish they used a bit more natural ingredients than they do. Other than that I enjoy it.

Skinny dip is a nice place, i Enjoy it often however you may want to keep in mind that your basically eating Artificial every thing.
Does it taste good, sure, is it really that great for you? no. Maltodextrin and artificial flavors and chemically induced flavoring are the name of the game, Im not talking this will get you fat kind of bad, because most of whats in this we are taking in every day in ALL of our food. but if you the least bit food savvy you will see that just because something says its made with mint… does not mean mint is anywhere near it or in it. its chemically created.
That being said they aren’t trying to hide this or make it unknown, its on the wall posted with everything thats in the flavors and calories carbs ect.
Staff is mostly HS peeps, friendly and its always busy and pretty much my go to treat place.
They did however start skimming on the toppings using generic oreo cookies instead of authentic ones. (which Ironically are also full of garbage).

This local chain is our favorite of the new «yogurt bar» craze. I have no idea whether frozen yogurt is really healthier than ice cream, but I know it isn’t after I’m done dumping cookie dough, peanut butter cups, and Butterfinger crumbs into it. Hey, I throw in a blackberry or two.
This particular location is the closest to our house, and in my opinion has the best layout of the three locations to which I’ve been, and I think it might have a larger toppings bar than the others.
Some of the locations put their daily flavors on the facebook, but this one seems to not update as much — just go and taste them all.
There is a buy-​1-​get-​1 in this year’s Hampton Roads Entertainment book for Skinny Dip, and the Kroger next door to this location will often have coupons for it on the back of their receipts.

You can make your own ice cream combination. It is delicious and always full of customers no matter what time of day. You can’t beat 39 cents an ounce. They also give military discount. Amazing!

Skinny Dip is the best frozen yogurt around. They always have a large variety of yogurt flavors. My favorite is cake batter. They have all kinds of toppings and they always look and taste fresh. I go to this location the most often and the employees are always very friendly.
