I love a good walk-up ice cream place! Classic flavors, and everything from sundaes to ice cream pies and shakes. The chocolate raspberry truffle is DELICIOUS!

Because wings, salad and pizza weren’t enough for our gluttonous crew, we challenged our waistbands even more at our favorite Ice Cream shop! This place is awesome!

I don’t understand the low reviews. This place has great service, it’s always been incredibly fast. Even on hot days. You actually get real ice cream, unlike the Dairy Queen nearby. Prices are reasonable and they give you a punch card where every 10th ice cream is free. With a family of 4, that means one of us gets something for free every 3rd time we go. This is definitely our go-to ice cream place, with a huge variety of flavors and they’ve all been very good. Fun kids menu, too, my son loves to get the dinosaur sundae which comes with a big dinosaur shaped sugar cookie. It’s definitely the best ice cream shop in the kemps river area.

Probably a half dozen visits, or more over 5 – 6 years. Although good, nothing special. The rating compiles several times I stopped in. If my kids see the sign they are asking. Located close to corner of Witchduck. if driving WB no issue, EB you will need to make a U-Turn to access. This is a walk up only. I have only seen walk ups with this chain. There are a few tables and benches for outdoor enjoyment. Parking will not be an issue with several just off the order up window. Trash has always been an issue, it around and not picked up. It not always there’s, but I’ve seen their logo. That is a 1 star deduction. Service has been for most part friendly, to just checking the box. Again, this is an overall with several visits. Last one was above average. You come here for the ice-cream and they deliver on that nicely. Expect to pay for some nice quality shakes and sundaes. Pricing is not an issue with me, but others be warned if your cost conscious. It will be more than say a DQ. I cannot get overly excited about this Brusters, but it is on par. My kids really enjoy and they are usually the reason we come here any way.

Buying icecream at the grocery store and making sundaes at home would of been just as good. Nothing special here.

Went there with a friend tonight and ordered 2 large chocolate shakes. They were more like milk with a tiny bit of chocolate flavoring and 3 tablespoons of sugar. I wished I were exaggerating. I guess the girl was new or I do not know what. We were half way home because we didn’t start to drink them until we got on the road. I should have returned them.

My family & I love bruster’s! Their ice cream is delicious. My favorites include sea salt caramel with toffee, peanut butter puddles, tiramisu, and Jamaican coconut. They have tons of different home made choices daily. When asked, the attendant said the ice cream was made daily at 5am for the day along with preordered ice cream cakes which is awesome! Toddlers get a free baby ice cream cone with a flavor of their choice. The attendants also know my 2 year old daughter(who happens to be a regular at Bruster’s). They are all very sweet to her, often saying hello and conversing with her about her ice cream choices. The attendants/scoopers/cashiers are so much sweeter and far less stuck up than the employees at Handel’s. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious home made ice cream :)

Wow I was truly looking forward to some good ice cream, however my taste buds was let down rather quickly. The lady that left a prior review the owner is now retiring according to the sign and the place is currently for sale :/hope the new owner(s) do better. My ice cream had a funny taste as did the chocolate syrup that was on the banana split. The employee who attended to me took my cc and laid it out for all to see and I had to quickly tell do not do that just hand it back to me! Not sure how they are trained but leaving someone’s CC laying out for other customers to possibly see is a huge No YOU Didn’t! The employee thought it was a bright idea to leave it whilst he fixed my order(smh). Needless to say this particular establishment isn’t well run and the condiments that were placed on my ice cream tasted as if perhaps old. I have no plans of going back and give this ice cream parlor a cold 1 star.

So I will begin by saying the ice cream is good. I’ve been to this location previously, probably 3 or 4 years ago, and remember it being quite tasty. However, on my most recent visit, it was impossible to enjoy because of the thousands of bugs. This was a Tuesday night in October, not the height of the bug season. The place was completely infested with these flying insects. I don’t know exactly what they were — some sort of small winged thing — kinda looked like termites. They were everywhere. First noticed them on the shelf in front of the window where we placed our order, then noticed them flying all around while we were waiting. Once we received our ice cream, we moved around to the side of the building hoping to sit at one of the tables. That’s when we noticed the ground was literally moving because it was completely covered in these bugs. My husband noticed on the shelf in front of the ordering window on that side(which was not being used at the time) that that shelf was covered in dead bugs — as if someone had sprayed it with bug spray. We retreated to the car and attempted to eat our ice cream, but could not enjoy it at the point because we felt all creepy crawly and knew that the ice cream had come from that place. So we tossed it. We did notice that the business was for sale. Perhaps the owner just doesn’t care, but there has to be something that can be done. It was disgusting. Just for reference, a couple of nights later we drove by Handel’s ice cream in Red Mill and I had my husband jump out and check it out. Not a bug in site. Go there instead. It’ll be worth the drive.
