Of course Schlotzkey’s is good. Their drive through customer service is absolutely terrible. Not friendly or respectful at all. They could take a tip from chick fil a. I’m a long time customer at Schlotzkey’s, but customer service this bad makes me never want to come here again. Take a hint manager.

The picture of their sandwiches are deceiving in size. I expected it to be much smaller, but when I received it, I was delightfully surprised that it would take more than 4 bites to eat it all. The sandwich is very well made, down to the seasoning and toasting of the sandwich. I don’t feel like I’ve just been cheated out of my money when I go here. The deli meat is substantial and the flavors are well balanced. I don’t come often, but when I do I, I always leave happy.

Food is always yummy. I always order the turkey on sourdough. It’s just too bad that this location has the worst customer service I’ve encountered. The Filipino drive through attendant is so rude. I will not be coming to this location again because of her.

Yum city! I adore the soft and fluffy circle-shaped dark rye bread. The turkey sandwich is delicious on the dark rye. A worthy stop if you’re in VA Beach!

Great sandwiches. They even have pizza and salads too. A good spot to stop in and grab a bite. Get a good look, not your normal get what you want on it but you can have what you like. Good selection of soups as well. Place clean and people are friendly.

We live close by and eat from there once a month. I love the turkey bacon club on jalapeño bread. However the staff is quite rude. I have called before and the manager was quite apologetic. It doesn’t change so I have decided we will not be back. I will miss it, but I refuse to give any business that doesn’t teach customer service.

We wanted to give this place no stars but had to give it at least one star to leave our review. After a long talk, my husband and I are considering giving this place another try. Maybe Kim was having a bad hair day.

Young black lady at the counter around noon today, very nice, but not professional. Seriously, I watched her work her but off, ran food out, cleaned tables, took orders back to back and greeted every customer. However, she chewed gum, drank while tending to customers and even was checking her phone as customers reviewed the menu. These things can be changed, but if the manager is excepting of this behavior than they(the manager) is at fought for failing to have a standard. Please manager teach her customer service skills, so she will excel, her work ethic is stellar!

Came here for the first time, loved it! Got the combination personal pizza and some mac and cheese. Delicious, and the servers were very friendly. The place was very clean, and all the workers seemed busy, in the way that you see motivated workers work type of busy. As a matter of fact, I was going to give them 3 stars but bumped them up to 4.5 because I live directly across the street and see how busy their drive through gets as well as how late they work and keep working. The drive through does look like it gets busy throughout the day. Good job workers!

When you’re looking for a quick bite but don’t want to stoop to one of those fast-food joints, come here. I love coming here for a quick sandwich. The food comes out like it came from a traditional deli but it is fast. I had the chicken salad on rye. Rye is a tough bread to get right let alone get it right in mass amounts. This place nails it. The bread is soft and just right. The chicken salad has chunks of chicken and just the right amount of mayo to hold it together but not to overwhelm the sandwich. My friend had the angus and provolone the beef was tender and they put a nice horseradish sauce on it to perfect the sandwich. Try the carrot cake. I’ll leave it at that. Yum!

So far, this is my favourite Deli ever. Indeed, it is the home of original sandwich. Oven toasted angus and provolone dark rye sandwich is insanely delicious. What makes this sandwich really stand out is the bread itself. it’s soft and supple. Great place, excellent service and awesome sandwich. I will definitely come back soon.

The food is typical Schlotzsky’s fare, which is good, but this location suffers from mediocre service. After standing at the cash register for a bit, hearing the employees playing around in back, I called out hoping to order a sandwich. While she was taking my order, the girl who finally came out from the back acted like she was doing me a favor by letting me order. When I finished ordering, she said that someone would bring it out to me. After sitting for what seemed like a long time, I went to the counter and my sandwich was sitting there, with no one around. I don’t know if the problem is with ownership or management, but good luck getting acceptable service here.

I’m a salad girl. Always have been. Something about spending $ 8 on a pre-made salad agitates me a bit. At least it had a good amount of chicken on top. Could have used more lettuce and less stuff on top. Personal preference I guess. On the upside, their delicious bread also traslates to tasty pizzas. We also ordered the fresh veggie pizza, which was delicious. I loved the sliced tomatoes and the crust, of course! Opted out on the red onion which was a good decision. Service was efficient. Not a bad choice for a quick lunch near Town Center.

I eat at Schlotzky’s about twice a month, and I am drawn back because the sandwiches on Sourdough bread are one-of-a-kind and superb. I give this restaurant 4 stars mostly for the uniqueness of their food.(Hey, if I eat there 2 x a month, I have to give them 4 stars!) But let me list a few negatives: 1) The Ham they put on the sandwich has changed over time. What once was deli-cut meat is now«pre-sliced» meat. And less of it. That is a negative… Another thing I noticed were beer bottles sitting warm on a shelf. That can’t make for a tasty beer. In fact, I have never seen anyone ordering beer in here, but odd to see bunches of beer bottles sitting hot on shelves… The coat of dust on them tells me them babies are past their born-on dates… :-) 2) The Staff. I have been here multiple times, and on many occasions, the young ladies taking the orders seem«distant». Saying«will be right with you» with no eye contact as they are wrapping up something on their cellphone… — Maybe it is hard to find good help to work in a restaurant these days, but there never seems to be a manager around, ever, to notice discrepancies anyway. Overall the sandwich still good/unique and I keep coming back. I just set the«level of service» expectation very low…

This place is cool. My friend and I came here last night just before our movie at the Regal. We wanted something quick but not theater food. The place is nice inside. Pretty clean and well kept. Service was quick and friendly. Cashier was pleasant. He got the pepperoni pizza. It reminded me of the frozen Celeste pizzas except this had more cheese. I choose the regular beef brisket sandwich. It was loaded with cheese mushroom and onions on a sourdough bread. It was pretty good. I was starving just before but somehow only managed to eat only half.

Expensive sandwiches that taste great! Currently with all the construction at Towne Center this place is packed during the lunch hour with construction workers. So if you come here during lunch, prepare to wait awhile! The lady at the cash register had no care in the world to even look at people when taking their order. Her eyes were just fixed on the computer screen, and her cell phone in-between the next customer in line. Good products here… just not good people serving the product…

It’s been about a year and a half since I’ve been. I drove passed and it looked busy so I figured it can’t be that bad. I walked in, looked over the menu board, realized there were no description under the sandwich names, and asked for a menu. The host said the two menus have already been taken. TWO menus… for the whole restaurant… two. They were taken by a grandmother, her daughter, and her three small children… tick tock tick tock tick tock. Then I noticed that there were two employees behind the counter, one taking orders, and the other organizing chips. So I decided to asked the one organizing chips for a description of the sandwiches. She told me to grab a menu then said, oh, the two are taken already. I continued to stand there behind the women holding the menus. Finally, one of them began to place their order so I asked her for the menu she was holding. As I was reading it over I overheard them ordering in front of me. They were ordering combos. Combos? Half soup half sandwich. Well that’s not on the menu anywhere but I kinda liked the sound of that. As the woman with the small children began to order I started thinking what combo I would pick. As the clock kept ticking away as the woman kept trying to get her small children to tell her what hey wanted to eat, the line to order was growing. The employee who was organizing chips asked the one at the register if she should help her with orders(there are two registers). The one taking orders said, no, I got it. There were 8 ppl in line. It dawned on me that there would probably restrictions as to which sandwiches could be cut in half for the combo order but I wouldn’t find out until I finally got to the register. By that point, I was over it. I was over the terrible customer service, over the terrible menus and the lack of menus, and over waiting. I walked out and kept on walking across the street to Jimmy Johns where they yelled«hey how ya doin!?» as I walked in the door like we were old pals. :) I smiled as I picked up one of their menus off of a stack of about 50.

It has been to long since I’ve been to Schlotzsky’s. I’ll bet is been at least 7 – 8 years since I’ve stopped in. Due to where I was working in Ches it wasn’t an option. All of that has changed now that I’m working in VB again. For lunch I had a smoked turkey sandwich on sour dough.(pic included) and it was just excellent. The turkey was piled the fresh bread with some lettuce and tomato and made for an excellent lunch. Topped it off with a bag of their brand of chips and tall soda. All for under 10 bucks. Service was prompt, the place was clean and it was an all around pleasant experience.
