I always have a good time at Sandbar! The staff are all really friendly and welcoming people. The music is always great and the drinks are awesome… :)

Went for lunch and the food was not good. We ordered a mojito and a Moscow mule and the bar was out of ginger beer and mint. Might be a good place to hang at night, but not good for lunch.

Went to Sandbar the other night with some friends. Had this awesome bartender think his name was TK all I will say is he was Johnny on the spot! …Super nice guy made us great drinks made sure they never went empty always checked on us. Definitely going back and bringing more people. …

I go to the block all the time, Sandbar is really fun! On Monday me and my friend went to go get some drinks. Tk was my bartender, he was super nice super helpful, gave us good drinks and was a good person to talk to. Good drinks and they were super cheap, never disappointing going to sandbar. GOOD MUSIC AND GOOD FOOD you will definitely have a good time going there.

Visiting the area for my cousin’s college graduation, we decided to head to the beach for some drinks and to celebrate. It’s a Saturday night. We stopped here since the music was good and the entry was free however, the service was trash and the bartender (who I later found out was part-​owner) had a terrible attitude. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Maybe in VA Beach they treat patrons like that but in DC, you’d be shunned immediately. To be quite honest I only created this account to write this review and I never leave reviews. BUT for this? Yeah. DO NOT go here! First I witnessed him snap on a guy for leaving a $ 2 tip on a 20 $ bill. Bartender was pissed he only left 10%. Okaayy… I guess this is the kind of establishment where your bartender might try to fight you if you don’t tip well. Mental note. Then I ordered a Jack & Coke. You know how sometimes there’s the last little pesky bit of liquor left in a bottle that’s not really enough to make a drink, not enough for a shot, and barely even covers the surface of the bottom but its there so you drink it? That’s what he gave me. THAT’S WHAT HE GAVE ME! …And filled the rest with Coke. No wonder you get $ 2 tips bro! I had to say something. Why should I pay $ 10 for a plastic cup of Coke?! I thought at very least he’d get another bottle and top it off… nope. So I say really? Excuse me but that’s all Coke. Dude threw his hands up as if to say «so what» and ignored me for the rest of the night. He knows he’s trash and I’m never going back. Later in the night the DJ gets on the mic to say if you don’t have a drink in your hand, we’re going to have to ask you to leave. Seriously? GTFOH. Hope they go out of business for bad service and poor practice.

I’ve had my fair share of bar and club experiences living in south Florida, but there is nothing like those small, personable dive bars you can run into and enjoy for hours. This is one of them! The bar tenders are amazing, the music is great, TV’s everywhere, and some games in the back. This is not the Fountainbleau. Do not expect anything fancy. What you can expect are awesome drink prices and quick service. I’m sure this place gets slammed during season. I’m coming back this summer and definitely going to be visiting again.

One of my favorite places at the oceanfront. Bring the family during the summer for lunch and they will let you fill your beach coolers up with there ice.

Progressively each visit gets worse, the most recent visit ending with one of the female bartenders GIVING my credit card away to another customer with whom the staff was familiarized with. The bartender insisted the first few times I asked that my card was returned, until I finally had to be informed by another staff member, [because the young lady was too prideful, arrogant, and remorseless to admit her wrongdoing] that there was a «mixup,» and that my card would be returned within ten minutes. 40 minutes went by until closing and I got not one piece of help from any of the staff involved in the situation. Other than the bartender’s incompetence (Jackie), security is highly responsible as well as responsive. However the average attention span for the bartending staff is relatively poor. Would not recommend if you don’t feel like having to cancel your credit cards on a regular, or not trying to get into the ring with someone every time

I personally didn’t like the vibe here on a Friday night. It was more like ladies everywhere. Meanwhile there are other bars next door worth going too

2013 Memorial Weekend — We walked the strip Saturday and heard the great music coming out this place and decided to stop in and have an early afternoon drink. Christian the GM gave us VIP cards for free drinks. We liked it so much that we returned later that night. Once again had a great time. The crowd was positive I did see some sites that were questionable but hey people were on vacation. Met interesting people the music was great.
So we decided to walk the strip Sunday and try another place but didn’t hear great music so decided to come back to Sandbar. We should have stayed in our hotel room. The crowd was rough not like the night before were I could drink and have a great time. Sunday night I had to be on fight watch couldn’t let my hair down. They there was a bartender who spoke more then the dj and wanted to do a champagne shower. What we don’t do those things in NY we go to hear great music and look cute so I slid to the side. Then they did body shots yeah we don’t do those either in NY well atleast I don’t. They the Bartender wanna be dj was talking about how the other bartender was his girlfriend and she cheated on him. So i’m giving this place a 3 it would have gotten a 5 but I had to go back. (sigh)

I’m not sure really what to make of this place. I came here after being let down next door at chemistry with one hell of a weak ass margarita. Its location was sheer convenience, but I was pleasantly surprised at the sounds that the DJ was spinning. My confusion began to settle in when I realized that no one was dancing and there was a section of this bar that’s clearly cut out for dancing. Its kind of crazy too because the crowd was mostly black, and I actually like that as opposed to chemistry next door which was mostly white. It was kinda sad because both places we’re almost identical in style, music, and atmosphere but the crowds were so separated. I’m used to my Ny crowds that are nice and diverse, not this split up bull ish. Needless to say my friend did not want to stay here what so ever, an so we left. I would have stayed just for the record because I really enjoyed to music and I probably could’ve persuaded the crowd to dance!

We dropped in for a quick drink between places. The place wasn’t bumping but the crowd was very interesting. I’m not sure if these were locals or military peeps but wow. There was this one chick that kept drooling all over herself and she thought she was soooo sexy. (check out my pic)
I dedided to buy a round of chilled Patron shots for everyone and the bartender suggested I get Jose Cuervo instead. He said it tasted better… WTF!.. what kind of a bartender are you? I asked for Chilled Patron not crappy Jose Cuervo. What a dumbass… geez the locals here are backwards.
Cheap drinks! Quite possible the cheapest I’ve ever paid.
Sometime during the night some random fool bought pizza and it went around to feed us all. After a night of drinking, a slice always hits the spot.
Don’t expect anything fancy here because it’s simply a dive bar for those that enjoy interesting people watching.
