Took the time to stop eating their food so I could write a review and warn everyone about this place. First of all, when we called for delivery it sounded dead, so we were like«oh, we’ll get our meal asap.»… It took 45 minutes and we’re less than ten minutes from the place. All the food we got was cold. We got the sampler that was supposed to have two chicken tenders, but only had one in it; battered mushrooms, that tasted absolutely horrible; onion rings were cold; mozzarella sticks, whatever; and jalapeño poppers were average. On top of that we ordered wings which were a complete joke. More than half of them were smaller than half the size of my palm and the«blue cheese» that came with it was watery and questionable as to what was in it. Waste of $ 17. NEVERORDERHERE.

So me and my family are starving so i figured pizza!!! and I received a flyer not to long ago so I said let’s try something different. Went in with my husband and son. Small place to go in and eat at that point We didn’t care cuz we were starving. So anyways we asked the guy in the front what are your specials and he he said what do u why do u mean rolled his eyes and said want in your pizza!!! in a very rude way. So I just told my husband just get regular pizza with wings and when my husband told him what we wanted he rolled his eyes at him and shook his head at that point I said lets get papa johns they’re not rude then grabbed my son and we walked out… No wonder you guys don’t have that many stars and no customers. Never again

Great cheese pizza its real quality cheese and the guy who was working by himself at lunch today was very nice so it looks like they turned it around its a great pizza for 12 bucks that’s for sure. Next time I will try the chicken wings for sure because good wings are hard to find at the oceanfront

So this past Sunday around eight we’re hungry and I decide to fire up the trusty Grubhub app. Much to my surprise apparently after Labor Day on a Sunday VA Beach rolls up early because the only place out of 21 that was listed as open for delivery was Pizza Palace. The other reviews are not exactly stellar but when you’re hungry and you’re a lazy ass you flirt with disaster and order anyway. When the order was placed the initial estimate was 45 – 55 minutes. Eventually GH sent a text with an updated time of 35 – 45 minutes which seemed far more reasonable. We get to the 45 minute time frame and still no food. Right as I’m about to call the store the delivery driver calls me to confirm our hotel’s address. Apparently the store told him the wrong hotel and then he got harassed by the valet staff at our hotel who demanded that he take the Pizza Palace magnet sign off his roof while on their property. Between those two incidents it cost him a good ten plus minutes. As for the food, the calzones & sandwiches were as advertised in terms of size/flavor. Obviously I’ve never been to/seen the store so I can’t say what it looks like but the delivery driver was friendly enough along with being apologetic for the wait and the food while not mind blowing was good enough.

Pizza was cold, cheese was hard, crush had a weird consistency. Ate we each ate a slice and threw the rest out. The wings were hard and tasteless. The delivery guy was rude about bringing me the wrong soda. Thanks for stealing my money. Next time I will order from Dominos; cheaper, HOT and tasty.

We ordered a 24″ pizza and some appetizers. The appetizers were horrible … even the garlic bread. The pizza was mediocre. I wouldn’t recommend ordering from this place. The price for the XL pizza is not bad($ 26.99) if you have a group of people to feed. Just know that the pizza is just not that good.

Eat Great Even Late Pizza Palace is far from a palace, but it’s got decent pizza and subs. My two favorite things about this place: they sell pizza by the slice and are open until midnight. If you just want a little snack, or you and your buddies can’t decide on what toppings you want, pizza by the slice is the perfect option. If you’re out a little late and want some fresh local pizza without too much hassle, you’ve got it. So no frills, not intoxicating ambience, no trendy décor – just pizza and subs for a good price.
