Pier 1 Imports

The sales people were insuffrable. My husband went there to look around for décor items for our home. We had three different sales people talk incessantly to each of us about their sales and credit card. Each one would stop each of individually. It would be fine to tell each of us once your sale pitch and then leave us alone to browse in peace. If I need help I will ask for it but when I say I am just looking and you continue to berate me to buy your credit card, I don’t want to buy anything. Really soured my shopping experience.

From these reviews I was nervous to go to this location, but was pleasantly surprised! I was immediately greeted at the door and asked if there was something I could be helped with. I told them I was just looking but when I did have questions the girls there were quick to help me and happy to do so. They also have a swatch stand to show you the product before you purchase it and it really helped me pick out some dining chairs. I applied for the pier one card months ago and didn’t get the 10% off when you open one, but the manager there, Alex, was very understanding and called to sort out my issue AND got me the 10% off that I didn’t before. Alex really bent over backwards for me when I was there so I will definitely be going back!

I love pier1 they always have great items for sell. Now the sales associates are hit or miss. I’ve had great ones that greet me and ask me if I’m looking for something particular. And I’ve also went in and had not one employee speak to me my entire 35 min visit. But I will always continue to go back for their cute home décor.

So when I went back to pick up an item that i had ordered, I couldn’t help but look at a few more things in the store. I decided to buy a couple of more things and as I stood in line I watched as the senior clerk Alex demeaned and belittled the new clerk. I felt so bad for her. Then as I got my larger items from the back of the store and Alex loaded the boxes in the back of my car, she forgot the rug. I asked for the rug and she rolled her eyes and went and got it. I don’t care if this store is closer to my house, I will not go to this location ever again.

I do shop Pier One stores –have done so for several years. Over all I have not liked what they have to offer style wise for the last couple of years and honestly the off-​price retailers in this area have the same thing for less but Pier One is still fun and I do buy dishes and pillows there. This particular store is absolutely atrocious as far as customer service. And my one visit there was enough-I’ll never go back. There was one person at the register and 3 of us in line, the women being waited on had many dishes and they all had to be wrapped before being bagged. There were 3 other employees that I could see. The young guy was busy checking items on a the computer/​floor for a customer, a young girl was in dishes stacking and arranging new goods and Susan-​well Susan was walking around and walking around. She came up to the register, looked at something on the counter caught my eye and said-​oh she’ll be with you shortly (indicating the poor girl trying to provide excellent customer service by wrapping all the dishes at the register) and then Susan just walked away, went to the front looked at the window, walked around some more-​I was getting irritated and asked the nice girl at the register if she could call for assistance or get a manager. She called Susan up to the desk and asked her to please help out-​Susan puts on her big fake smile and says of course I’d love to help! I told Susan it was the worst customer service I ever received and she gave that insincere Sorry reply. With so many people needing jobs and retailers needing business-​Really? I have also heard from other people and even in other Pier one locations that the service at this store is awful. Avoid this location-​Greenbrier and Janaf locations have a superb team of people and nice selection of goods.

The prices are something crazy. If you want to search through the clearance items you may find some good deals. but overall, the inventory they carry is very hip, and things I would love to decorate my house with, but I just can’t afford to shop at Pier 1.
