Enjoyed my visit to Mid Atlantic Dermatology. The front desk was very friendly. Dr. Gross really helped me with my skin condition & taught me so much about how to take care of my skin.

OMG — I have been maimed. I literally mean — maimed. I’ve been coming here for the past three years dealing with these leg bumps that became staph-infected and ultimately became something else. They ate my legs for two years while I saw several doctors — finally they’re healed but I have scars. So this year beginning in around August I started getting a series of laser treatments(3 total) to reduce the scars. They reduced them by about 30−40% so they’re better — but still not to my liking. I spent $ 1,200. In mid-October I had a mole removed from the back of my neck by one of the PA’s who did a great job. Minimal down-time –healed great — almost no scar. I have several moles so I thought — this is fabulous! I’d never had one removed before and, while it hurt, it wasn’t that bad. So I came back on 30 November to have two more removed. Dr. Gross was the one doing the removing and I assumed he’d be great at it. I am devastated folks. And I do mean that. He said they’d do one at a time — and I chose the one on my leg. It was a VERY small — barely larger than the size of a pen head — and it stuck out just a little but wasn’t anything too terrible — I wanted it removed bc sometimes I shave it and it bleeds a lot but really — it wasn’t even nasty or anything — and it wasn’t discolored. It was just in a bad spot. They numbed me and I sat in there FOREVER — I think the gal used too much numbing stuff on me bc it swelled up all around my mole — a good solid inch or so all around. Dr. Gross finally came in and I looked away –bc I didn’t wanna see it. He said they’d do the shave method again with a razor since the one on my neck healed beautifully… OMG — he didn’t shave the mole — he literally scooped about a dime size of flesh off my leg — a deep deep hole — it’s been 2.5 weeks and it’s still not fully healed up — it’s oozy and pissed. It’s developing a huge nasty purple scar and I am very pale. I’m so devastated because this was elective — and I’ve spent thousands of dollars trying to get my legs cleared up from the scars from my infection! I NEVER thought a small pen-sized mole removal would be like this! I know for a fact that he took too much skin around my mole — he didn’t shave it off like he should’ve, and I am going to have a horrible scar due to this. I don’t know what to do. Sue? Rant and rave? Nothing will put my skin back! Had I known it wasn’t going to be shaved off and I’d have a festering sore on my knee for a month I’d NEVER have done this — as I said — the mole was tiny. I’m including pictures — you judge for yourself if that was medically overboard. I’m going to see a PA there tomorrow AM to discuss this — I certainly don’t feel I should be responsible for whatever needs to happen to minimize my scarring at this point — and I don’t know if I can continue to come here after this. I’m absolutely crushed.

Waited nearly two hours to be seen. Doc came in for about 5 minutes, wrote a prescription and left.

Had my first visit here today, it was a great experience! Everyone was friendly, I did not have to wait. See Jentry, she is awesome, very intelligent, compassionate and informative. I also met Dr. Gross and he was very warm and also informative. I’m glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews on wait time, even so I would wait an hour to see them both if I had to.

I have been a patient of Dr Gross for nearly 10 years, I started going in the fall of 2004 after a referral from a fellow worker. Dr Gross sees me every six months and looks me over from head to toe for evidence of basil cell, skin tags, sun spots and any other desireables. He sears or burns them promptly with liquid nitrogen, they fall off after a couple of days. I can tell you that he is an excellent treater, he listens to the patient and is very thorough. I can identify with the frustration level of some people who get tired of waiting for their appointment, several who have written about it online in these reviews. True sometimes Dr Gross is overworked or overbooked, once I have waited for 30 minutes I return to the desk, tell them Ive been waiting for so many minutes and am going to leave and they”ll have to reschedule me unless they get me in the next five minutes. Im pretty forcefull and have had it where after five minutes I walked out and have had it where they called me back immediately. Im just not going to wait all day, if they can’t get me back after one hour, they’re way overbooked. Its kind of weird, somedays when I get to their office there’s like five people in there, other times you have to look for an empty seat. All in all I believe this is a good practice, they’re very good and because a lot of people know that its booked solid all of the time and thats why there’s a wait.
