My wife and I chose Eurasia for our Anniversary celebration dinner. The appetizers were delicious. The entrees were underwhelming. I chose the dinner special which was described as pasta and brisket with shaved truffles. The meal was very small… keep in mind this is a pasta dish. I have eaten many pasta dishes throughout the country while traveling and have never had one where the first thought I had wasn’t «This is going to hard to eat all all this». Furthermore, I could not find a shaved truffle on the dish and the brisket was basically pulled pork. I like it when a dinner special is special not mediocre. My wife ordered the Ricotta and Goat Cheese Ravioli dish off the main menu. She experienced a similar situation… she said she had to search the pasta ravioli for any signs of either cheese. She did say the ravioli sauce was awesome. The restaurant was very busy. it was wine night and I think we got lost in the crowd. I would not recommend Eurasia for a special night of dining.

It had been a years since I had been to Eurasia, and apparently they have gone through a re-model that took a dining space that had a nice flow, and view of the front window, and turned it into a space that looks just like something out of a hidden camera show. There is no longer a view of the front window from the main dining area, in fact I don’t recall seeing any windows at all except maybe from one small door in the back corner. They no longer have a long line of comfortable booth, instead they have opted for more versitile tables which I get, but it is basically a far less appealing space. It used to be a good space to take a date, and now I really can’t imagine going on a date here. A large portion of the front is now set aside for a private dining space, which must be just killing it, because it sure took a toll on the rest of the dining area. Luckily for them their food is still really good, but there are plenty of places with good food that actually have a view.

Je suis tres impresse’!! This place has spectacular food along with their spectacular menu. You *must* try their signature dish«Off the Hook Rockafella»! They are no slouches at pampering seafood. Will definitely come again with friends.

The ambiance here is great for family and friends to gather to celebrate a special occasion but that’s about all its good for. My girlfriends and I are not local so we had picked to come here for dinner and other places for drinks and dessert. It was apparent to all of us that the waitress was not happy that we were only getting entrees. Besides the attitude that we got from the waitress, the food was quite mediocre. I tried the duck and shrimp and grits but there was nothing special about the dishes at all. Out of our party of six only one person thought their dish was«pretty good». I would not return here for the food. It was not worth it.

We dined at Eurasia last week for my mothers birthday and had a wonderful experience. Melissa waited on us, she’s amazing! The food was pretty good as well! We had oyster rocks for appetizers, they were perfect! Dinner was just as good, we had rockfish mushrooms and oysters, scallops and shrimp n grits. All in all the food, service, drinks and ambiance was on point! We will return for sure!

Just bad, all around. Our server practically rolled her eyes because we couldn’t decide on a wine. We were offered water but not informed that it was $ 6, a piece! $ 12 dollars for water which we didnt really want, but got because, well, thats what you do at a restaurant. We ordered the hommade sausage which was fried well, but it came on a bed of white beans which were not done. And I don’t mean toothsome, they were crunchy. Then came the beet salad which was under seasoned, came with chips that bordered on stale and the whole thing just did not mesh. The flavors were weird and unharmonious. It came with what I am assuming was fresh mozzarella, but was too rubbery to eat. The pork and shrimp wontons were spot on. But that’s the only thing that was worth eating. Too pretentious for the quality. I don’t mind paying a decent price for good food, but this was not it.

Wow! Just. Wow. This place was REALLY nice! Very romantic feel to it. My friend and I went on Easter weekend. We thought it might be slammed but surprisingly enough it wasn’t terrible. The host said we were lucky though because they are usually quite busy. So I think I would suggest that if you are thinking about going here, you make reservations, just In case. The restaurant itself is on the small side, so I can see why it would get busy quickly. It is located in the same strip mall as Heritage and Metropolitan Oyster Company. Walking in I really liked the layout. The host sat us quickly as there was no wait. It was dimly lit and everyone was talking amongst themselves. Very cute atmosphere. I will definitely take my next date here. We were greeted quickly after being seated and had our drink order taken. I showed my Unilocal check in to our server who got us our free Edamame.(Although watch your ticket because she still charged us for it). Ill get right to the food aspect since I always get cut off on these things. We ordered one of the special apps they had that evening which was the Tarragon Citrus Poached Shrimp. It was DELICIOUS! The shrimp were small, but you get a decent amount. But lets just focus on the flavor here. It was clean, light but powerful and smooth on the palate. I literally would have a shrimp and sit back, close my eyes and really enjoy the flavors. I was very happy with this app. The edamame was great too. A perfect amount of salt. For our meal I ordered the Sesame Encrusted Ahi Tuna and my friend got the Pan Roasted Shellfish Risotto. I’ll touch on the risotto first because that was literally all I was allowed to do! My friend was eager to eat her food.;) haha. It was great! There was a good amount of seafood on the risotto, all of which was very fresh tasting, and the risotto itself was fantastic. I’ve had a few different risottos over the past few evenings so I forget how this one tasted, but I remember wanting to melt into it. So so good! Great portion size as well. My Tuna, I would have to say, was honestly cooked to perfection. I have NEVER had a tuna steak come out the way I’ve asked. I actually don’t even really get the choice in many of my Ahi Tuna stand-offs. Typically I order tuna, expect to be asked how I want it cooked, am NOT asked how I want it cooked, and it comes out to me cooked all the way through(gag). Anyway! I was given the choice and I said«seared-but really like, as rare as you can possibly get away with». And it came out BETTER then I imagined. I think it was seared just enough to keep the sesame seeds in place(and I don’t even LIKE sesame seeds!) and the rest was this big hunk of tuna, beautiful red color with flicks of metallic. That was one damn good piece of fish. Pardon my French. Mine was supposed to come with purple rice, which sounded fun, but I wasn’t feeling rice that eveing. I got mine with caramelized brussel sprouts. These came out great! Although there was a $ 2 charge associated with the change which I wasn’t aware of. Although I still would have ordered it. Just, really, its a vegetable. I know its not that expensive to trade out rice for a veggie. But whatever. For dessert with got the Crème Brulee with Grand Marnier. Im actually NOT a Crème Brulee fan but this! Thissss was divine. I had to really hold myself back from fighting with my friend for all the bites. All in all I would definitely come back here! Even if just to hang out at the bar! I really enjoyed this restaurant. Thank you!

Very disappointed. Not up to past performance. Sat at the bar and watched dish washing the whole time, while waiting for the 1 capable bar tender. Seems the other 5 people behind the bar were not capable of anything.

The best in Virginia beach. We loved this place. Great beer and wine. The food was incredible. We had the egg rolls. They were wonderful. So good we reordered. The hot and sour soup and steak and eggs were amazing. Short ribs and eggs wow. The Caesar salad was great. Different. But great. Edamame was excellent. Derrick our waiter was terrific. Nice and informative. We will be back.

I’ve had this place bookmarked on Unilocal for a while, and I was excited my friends chose this restaurant for dinner one night. It is definitely a fine establishment as reflected by the prices, so I would recommend coming here for a special occasion. Don’t forget to check in to Unilocal for a free edamame appetizer! I chose a Riesling for my wine, and it paired well with my dish. I ended up choosing the gnocchi for my entrée, which was very delicious but definitely wasn’t enough to satisfy my hunger. My boyfriend chose the duck special, and it was heavenly. For my dessert, I ordered a pumpkin pie, and it was actually pretty bland and didn’t have much of a pumpkin flavor. We had a server attend to our entire table of 10, and she did a pretty great job. Our group was pleased with this restaurant, and I would definitely come back again!

Quality Service at its best! I went there today with my wife for our wedding anniversary. The hostess greeted us with a smile and showed us to our table. The setting in the restaurant is a bit dim however welcoming. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. She really made our dining experience wonderful. We both had the NY strip for our entrees and the fried calamari for our appetizer. The potato sides for the steak was overcooked and a bit tough. The steak however made the meal fantastic so I didn’t really mind. I will definitely be going back!

The name made me think one thing, and what we got was totally different. I had one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. FANTASTICMEAL and SERVICE(thanks Chris and Lee)! We rolled in with a pretty large group from around the world, and these folks managed it perfectly. Excellent wine recommendations, food timing couldn’t have been better, and they made us feel like the whole restaurant was there for us. Really enjoyed it and I look forward to going back soon.

I went for restaurant week. What an incredible deal! It was an incredible meal. I have a seafood allergy and they were completely accommodating. The waitress immediately asked their chef about all of the ingredients just to be 100% sure. The hot and sour soup was amazing! I crave this soup now! The crème brûlée could have used a bit more fire on the sugar, but the custard had an amazing vanilla flavor. I loved how the entire staff worked in harmony! They share tips and all were so helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back!

Eurasia was pretty good. I came here with my fiancé and my coworker to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. We all had a great time. We started with Calamari and Shrimp pizza which were amazing. Then for dinner I had the Off the Hook with Salmon and they had the Beef Tenderloin. My salmon was a little undercooked so I sent it back but overall it was ok. I really enjoyed the mashed potatoes though. My fiancé and my coworker enjoyed the beef tenderloin and really raved about the sweet potato concoction. For dessert I had the carrot cake, ice cream, and Snickerdoodle martini. The carrot cake wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the best I have ever had. Overall this place is worth a try.

Restaurant week lunch $ 10! I ordered house salad and fresh catch. House salad: fresh, tasty asian dressing Fresh catch: flounder, 1 oyster, ½ bacon, spinach, mushed potato And extra! Carrot cake bomb! Massive!!! Tasty. Less richness than McCormick and Schmick. Music: lots of Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson. If they put classic music, the atmosphere would be really different. Staff: really friendly:) A free edamame if you check in at Unilocal!!! I wanna come back for the cake again. And Lamb shank!

Summary: In the category of fine dining, Eurasia is right on par with everything you would expect to get in this kind of environment. Friendly and accommodating service, good selection of wine, beer and cocktails, great food and an atmosphere you would be proud to take someone you care for to. Order recap: Drinks: bottle of Pinot noir, bottle of sweet Riesling from the front store. Appetizer: beef carpaccio, fried oyster, ahi tuna poke Entrees: lamb shank, steak frites, off the hook rockafella, ciapanno(seafood stew) Sides: truffle fries, truffle Mac and cheese Dessert: carrot cake, crème brûlée, white and dark chocolate torte Review: We went here for my moms 60th birthday on a Saturday evening. I made reservations for 10 and they had our table ready even though we arrived about 10 minutes early. Started off with a bottle of Pinot noir and a bottle of some sweet Riesling from the store part of the restaurant. For appetizers we ordered fried oysters, beef carpaccio, and the ahi tuna poke. The fried oysters were tasty. Not too salty and definitely fresh. The beef carpaccio is not something I normally see on a menu so it was a new taste for me, but I have to say that I really enjoyed it. It came with some greens and I believe a deviled egg and when eaten all together it was a pleasantly light but satisfying bite. The ahi tuna poke was also very delicious. Sometimes when I get tuna pokes the tuna is not cut thin enough. This one was cubed perfectly and tasted like a poke should. My entrée was the«off the hook» rockafella, which was there fresh catch of the day(flounder) with fried oysters, creamed spinach, bacon, cheese, on top of mashed potatoes. I wasn’t blown away by the flavor but it still was very delicious. I think because flounder is such a bland fish the rest of the ingredients weren’t bold enough to bring the total combination together. My other family members had the steak frites, lamb shank, and ciapanno(seafood stew). The lamb shank literally fell off the bone and was very savory. The steak frites was cooked properly and tasted like what you would expect a good steak to taste like. The only one that didn’t quite meet our expectations was the seafood stew. It was just meh. It wasn’t horrible but it just wasn’t on the level as all of our other entrees. For sides we had truffle fries and truffle Mac and cheese. The truffle fries were amazing and the mayo dip they gave with it was an awesome compliment to it. The truffle mac and cheese didn’t quite do it for me as I couldn’t really taste the truffle flavor which made the Mac and cheese just come up bland. For dessert we tried the carrot cake, crème brûlée, and white and dark chocolate torte. The carrot cake was amazing. What made it stand out was the rum soaked raisins. These things were bursting with flavor and added a really nice touch to the rest of the carrot cake. The crème brûlée was pretty typical of what it should taste like… sweet and delicious. The white and dark chocolate torte was definitely the winner of all our desserts. The combination of both chocolates in one bite was simply divine! Overall our experience was great and I’m appreciative that they help make my mothers birthday a great success!

One of the best meals I’ve had in a really long time. You really can’t get any better than Eurasia. It was an incredible experience. First, we won a $ 100 gift card at Eurasia’s block party a few weeks ago so we were eager for a date night. First, feel free to dress up. It’s not too formal but you can certainly fit right in with a blazer and jeans. Ladies, you can rock that sexy dress for you boo. Leave the t-shirts and flip flops at home. I’m sure it’s not a big deal but the place has too nice of a vibe to be so casual. If you check in on Unilocal you get a free bowl of edamame. It’s a never ending bowl of edamame. The biggest appetizer serving you’ll find in Hampton Roads. Damn good, too. You can taste salt well into the bowl as well as little pieces of spinach in every few bites. We picked up a few more appetizers that were absolutely stellar, the avocado tempura and half a dozen of oysters dunked with a vinaigrette sauce. The avocado had a special sauce that had a nice kick to it. The oysters… Holy ish. They were so damn good we had to order another half dozen. As for our dinner entrees, their specials of the evening were wild caught salmon and scallops. My preference were the scallops. They were perfectly cooked. Each bite made my heart melt. We ended with a baked apple dessert with homemade vanilla ice cream on top. What an awesome place.

Finally was able to stop in for a late lunch early dinner yesterday. There was only one other table inside which was nice so we sat at a high top for two by the bar. I tried the edamame hummus special for the day which was a HUGE portion of hummus with some fried wonton dipping chips. I didn’t care for the dipping chips and I also didn’t much care for the consistency of the hummus. Didn’t eat much of it. I chose the wedge salad which was absolutely delicious. I am a huge fan of wedge salads everywhere I go and try them if they are on the menu. This was not the best I’ve had but it was certainly very good and the crunchy onion strips(I think that’s what they were) were a nice touch. I ordered the lunch/special portion of the Off the Hook which was halibut with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. The portion size was excellent and it was very very good. The halibut was yummy. I tried my boyfriends hot and sour soup and thought it was also excellent. I ordered a side of the truffle mac and cheese and thought it was really yummy. The portion size is shareable and it was huge — we ended up taking it to go. For dessert my boyfriend ordered the Double Chocolate Torte which reminded me of the flour-less Godiva cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory. Loved the consistency. It had crumbled pieces of toffee on top and on the sides. It was absolutely phenomenal. Hands down. They offer a lot of cute patio seating out front and it was a beautiful day for that yesterday — but a bit hot so we chose inside. The inside is fairly large with a nice-sized space for a party in one room with a large table that probably seats 15 – 20 comfortably. Overall we had a fairly good experience here and the food was good. It wasn’t quite as posh as the price demands so I’ll probably stick to other establishments for the kinds of food I’d come here for — Terrapin, etc. But I was glad to finally try it.
