It was pretty strange to sit in office chairs that are in rows, some at tables some by themselves. It reminded me of watching a movie in class back in high school. We ordered pizza and the pretzels. The pretzels had way too much salt and the pizza was not cooked all the way. Definitely prefer Beach Movie Bistro’s food

We love coming to the Kemps River Cinema Café. Their prices are reasonable, especially throughout the week. They offer a military discount as well. The theaters are clean, and there is plenty of seating if you arrive early enough. They have a small bar in the main lobby and their menu is pretty descent. It is kind of like watching a movie and having applebees delivered to your seat. I have been to better Cinema Café’s but this location is less than a mile from our house and we go at least once every other week. It’s a great place to take your family and we look forward to future visits.

I’ve never been so unimpressed with a movie theater before. The main reason I go to a movie theater is to see a movie and experience it on the big screen. Well, in that department, the experience was horrible. The picture quality was fine, though the screen was small. The sound system was worse than my sound bar at home. There was literally no bass in that theater. We saw Star Wars VII and I left loving the movie, but hating the experience due to the lack of enveloping sound. The food is mediocre, but I don’t expect much there. The seating situation needs more levels. My view was obstructed by the people in front of me on the same level. I like that they serve food and adult beverages, but I’m going to the movies to see a movie first. The other stuff should make an already fun experience even more fun.

Regulars here since we live so close. Ya win some, ya lose some with the service. Had some pretty awful experiences with quality and attentiveness, but we’ve also had some excellent experiences too. We’ve just learned to not go expecting much or just pick less busy show times.

I went here last weekend to see the new Hunger Games movie. I like that they have a Belly check –in at the ticket booth with opportunities for free concessions in the future. I enjoy the lower prices and the comfortable seating inside the theater. But to me, none of the food there has ever been great. I’d give it a C+. It’s really like over-priced bar food. I like that they have added a Call Button to summon your waiter/waitress. The movie screen and sound quality have always been good. The one thing I did not enjoy this last time that I went is that they never turned the lights off. They had always done so previously. And when I politely asked if they could turn out the lights after the movie had started I was told no, that they could not. What the!!! So I had more of the sensation of watching a movie at a friend’s house than of being in a real movie theater which is traditionally always dark. Except my friends make better food. Just sayin.

This is one of the Cinema Café locations that shows first-run movies at an affordable price. We’ve come in on several occasions, but I am partial to mid-week movies. I hate fighting crowds! They offer a discount on Wednesdays. It was $ 3.99 for an evening movie ticket. Can’t beat that! They have a bar area that we have taken advantage of before the movie. Decent, local beer choices and friendly service. The food, while not restaurant quality, is decent. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. The veggies were fresh, but it was loaded with toppings. That’s not my preference, but I’m sure others would love that. We also ordered a pizza — tasty but heavy on the cheese. We got a pitcher of soda, which was 75% ice. You may want to ask for them to go easy on the ice, or you’ll end up paying a lot for a little. Popcorn was a bit stale. Theater space is CRAMPED, so I recommend getting to the theater early, or you will end up crawling over people & tables to get a seat. Overall, a good space to catch a flick while enjoying dinner and a drink.

This is the second day in a row coming here. Yesterday my friend and I saw Mockingjay part 2 and… it… was… awesome! Today we’re seeing the Peanuts movie. How lucky are we? The movie prices are more reasonable before six so plan ahead. This is also a very clean place. We ordered the pizza combo and got the buffalo chicken dip as an appatizer. I wish the price were lower but hey, again, you get what you pay for. I love the variety of movies that’s always showing at this location. A little dissapointed that Crimson Peak isn’t showing here though. :( It was a good visit though.

Definitely a place were you can have date night or a family night and enjoy a new release. Children aren’t admitted after a certain time which is great for date night or just adult time. The food is actually good and service is great and prompt. For the price you’d pay for movie tickets, popcorn, candy, and sodas you can have actual food! Definitely give it a try!

Office chair seats. They added seats in between rows to get more people in there but those rows do not have tables. The extra rows also are of the same level as the row in front of them; the entire movie I was also watching two people’s heads. Throughout the entire movie servers kept walking in front of us, since the extra row is supposed to be where they would pass to get to and from the customers with tables. Maybe they should cut off in-seat service when the trailer starts so the servers won’t keep hitting my knees or stepping on my feet as I try to watch a movie with two extra heads in it.

As many times as I’ve eaten and seen a movie here, I’m so surprised that I haven’t written a review! Until now anyway. If I had written this review a few years ago, I would’ve definitely given 4 – 5 stars easily. This location shows the«new» movies, hence the name Cinema Café Premier. The prices are awesome, probably the lowest you will pay for new movies. My suggestion is to go early in the day, matinée if you can, it’s barely over $ 5. They have military and senior citizen discounts for the evening also. And there’s the the Wacky Wednesday special, where movies are about $ 4 all day, even new movies, EXCEPT for Sony pictures. The food is really decent! My favorite thing about their food is the fun names! I was amused the first time I read their menu, and still amused now — Kevin Bacon Cheeseburger, Children of the Corndogs, Salma Hayek Nachos, Foghorn Leghorn Chicken Sandwich, the list goes on. Not the best quality ever, but some of it is good, especially for theater food. I love their chicken tenders &BBQ sandwich. The seats are computer chair style, they swivel. Sometimes seating can get tight, especially at tables, if you go in the evening and it’s a Friday night. Yikes. I definitely suggest getting there early because a line forms to enter the theater area. You want the good seats — I prefer and suggest the«counter» area. There was a weird smell the last few times I’ve been; not sure if the place is starting to age, or if something behind the scenes is going on to cause the smell. Febreeze, please! Anyway, still a good experience all around — price of tickets, convenience of lunch/dinner & a movie, centralized VB location. Still a fan.

Love this cinema café! Hands down friendliest staff, always clean and maintained(especially the bathrooms), tickets and food are super affordable but best of all their food is delicious. This is the only place I come to watch movies. It’s worth the time and money. The seats in the movie theater are so comfortable, the style of this theater is so family friend we wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend!

As I walked into this movie theater I wasn’t expected too much but I was expected better than what I saw and smelled. Upon walking into this cinema café you catch a whiff of a funky smell that permeated throughout the whole theater. It’s definitely not a very pleasant smell. The front counter rep is not very welcoming but the prices are not bad. It looked as if they were doing some work inside the movie theater to upgrade the look because it definitely was in need of some renovation. The chairs in the movie theater itself were comfortable but of course you can’t get away from that smell I mentioned earlier. The prices for snacks and meals in the menu were fairly high but I can’t really comment on the quality of the food as we didn’t eat anything there. I would say that the only good bright spot was the waitress that came to the table to ask us if we were having anything. She was very friendly and enjoyable to speak to and she did mention that if we needed anything there was a button that we could press on the table to alert her.

My family and I usually come here every Wednesday for Wacky Wednesday this means they have very cheap movie tickets, I don’t know the exact price but it’s somewhere between 3.00−4.00 which is VERY cheap to see a movie in this day and age. So that in itself keeps us coming back. But I must warn you, if you are seen a movie that just came out and its a Wednesday, either get your tickets hours ahead of time, or show up super early to get in line for the movie. ITGETSPACKED! Now to inside the actual theater. It’s very spacious, and it’s set up with a lot of what are your average computer chairs, which are comfortable enough. I personally think they have way too many chairs for the theater, but I understand they’re trying to get as many people in there as the fire marshall will allow. The servers are usually pleasant and they get the food out really fast! The food is pretty good, some things better than others, and the popcorn is always hit or miss for me. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone, its a relaxing place and way cheaper compared to AMC or Regal.

Where can you watch a movie with kids, get something to eat, and tip to have others clean after you? That itself deserves no less than three stars. I’ve come here a few times with family and friends. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is decent, and the menu is varied to meet even the finicky eaters cravings. The seats are cushy computer/desk chairs with wheels. That was a first for me. There are some rows with tables, some without. We’ve been there with two other families, and we’ve been able to sit together. TIP: Buy your tickets it advanced, because seating can be tricky if you’re watching a very popular movie at a prime time. The prices are cheaper, especially during the day Wednesdays($ 3.50 for new releases). That’s a plus. They also show older movies for $ 1 in select locations. I haven’t been to the others, but this one fits our needs fine. My one con would be that it could use a few sprays of Febreeze. Just saying.

I love cinema café i really do and we will continue to come over and over again. My compliant this time was that we saw Minons at 830pm on friday night and knew it was gonna be packed which im fine with. However when they open the doors 30 min prior everyone like a stampede rushes in and sits all at once. Then the servers trickle in and it takes a long time to order. We hit the nifty red button immedately since we knew what we wanted and just waited and waited. Watched servers walk by, people get drinks and food. And we were waitning. About 15 min of waiting a server comes and says hed be with us shortly. And then more waitng. Finally order as soon as the previews come on. Maybe there is a better way of sitting the super packed movies. I dont know, but like i said we will come back.

This is my second time visiting Cinema Café. I’ve been to a few different dine-in/drink-in movie theaters and I have to say that I wasn’t completely blown away, but the theater is nice. –Super friendly and helpful staff/service –Organized… Since it is a dine-in theater, as one can imagine, it may take a little while to clean a theater after the movie ends. They leave enough time between movies to do all of their cleaning. So, if you arrive early, you may have to wait to be granted entry to your specific movie room. Each time I’ve been, it’s been on an opening weekend for my movie of choice and the line wasn’t too much to handle. –Reasonable prices… movie tickets were actually a little cheaper than what I’m used to back in the NJ/NY/MD/DC areas, which is a major plus. The food options/prices are very comparable to any bar/grill. Very affordable. –My one complaint has to be the chairs… the chairs remind me of office chairs… actually, they may be office chairs! I’m used to the recliners/super comfy seating at the movies. That was a definite first for me. Can’t say that I liked not being able to lean back and really relax. I think that this is a nice date spot. Friendly staff and good food along with a movie? Sign me up.

This is one of the best places to watch movies. Big plus that it is less than five minutes away from my house! My fiancé and I went to see«The Avengers: Age of Ultron» the Wednesday after it came out. I am glad that I decided to pay ahead for the tickets; when we went to pick up our tickets at the box office, we discovered that all of the showings were sold out.(Pro tip: Always buy your tickets in advance!) Another reason why I love Cinema Café: the food! Why have dinner and a movie when you can have both at the same time? We’ll definitely be back. This is the only theater my fiancé wants to go to.

Each time we have come here it has been a pleasant experience. There isn’t much to say other than this is the way to go if you want dinner and a movie. It’s cheaper than going to the mall and having dinner. Well its time for the movie so… Give this place a try if you have not been! You’ll love it!(I think so)

We came here last night to watch, «Fifty Shades of Grey».(It was really good: P) So the theater has computer chairs and tables and bar tops. The movie tickets itself were inexpensive. The food was a little pricier considering it wasn’t that great. Service was slow but it’s understandable because there were alot of people there. Now that i’ve been here, I don’t think I’d really care to go to the regular movie theaters!
