Best Roofing of Virginia

Have tried calling them numerous times during business hours only to get the answering machine. They don’t return calls and have had a problem with my leaking roof for 2 years now that have not yet fixed. Everyone they come out they say nothing is wrong and go right back to being a lazy company. Will never do business with them again.

Just called for an estimate and Don was about the rudest business owner I’d ever encountered. I told him I got his number from Unilocal and he said «well obviously you didn’t read my page because I’m off on Saturdays. I apologized and said I had not read his hours of operation because I was driving. (It was Saturday afternoon) He was obviously annoyed from the beginning of our conversation because it was his day off. We set up a time for the estimate and as I was giving him my information, with the address, I told him that I was not the owner but I was calling for the owner (owner is in nursing home) He rudely said I only deal with owners and hung up on me. Seriously! Didn’t say good bye, sorry but thanks anyway, nothing. Hung up !! I immediately called him back and asked him if he hung up on me. He said «I only deal with owners» I then told him that I could have had the owner call but not now. Told him that he was the rudest business owner I had ever talked to and wish him luck running his business. I happened to be right by his business (the one he has listed on the Unilocal page) it turned out to be the post office. 320 33^rd street. I had to give him one star in order to post this review.

I live overseas and was selling a home. The roof on the home was probably original (1970 or so) but had an extra layer of shingles added along the way as a cheap fix. I contacted Don based on his amazing reviews. I also contacted the other large roofing provider in VA Beach. Don’s estimate was about $ 1,000 less than theirs. The roof was installed about a week after I called him. Before the roof was replaced I was getting absolutely miserable write-​ups regarding the roof on home inspection reports. Afterwards there was nothing (2 home inspections, no defects). Don was a pleasure to work with and took care of everything. He was one of the the easiest contractors I worked with while selling this home from overseas.

I received three estimates from local companies to replace my 22 year old roof. Don Harrelson came out and thoroughly explained the process. His workers arrived at 7am on the dot, as previously arranged. They were quick, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves while they were working. They finished my roof by 5pm the same day (I think my roof is a little over 2000 square feet.) Don made the process painless and seamless. They also re-​roofed the shed in my backyard, as required by my Homeowners Association. I highly recommend their services!
