OMG! Best seafood we have had since moving here from Delaware. Had lunch here yesterday — long wait but worth it. Lobster rolls, fried clam rolls, cole slaw — all excellent.

I almost hate to write this review mainly out of pure selfishness. This place is fantastic!!! Absolutely amazing! The lobster roll rivals any that you’d pay way more for in the fancy restaurants and is true to what a lobster roll should be… split top bun, toasted, lots and lots of lobster meat and you can have with butter or mayo. Your choice! The lobster roll is just that! Lobster in a roll! Nothing else to take away the amazing sweetness of the meat. Grab a Moxie, some Humpty Dumpty potato chips, and a Whoopie Pie and you’ll think you’re in Maine! Of course, there’s other items on their menu. I’ve heard people rave about the Haddock and the clams. They’ve even started carrying Red Hotdogs. Owned by one of the sweetest couples and run by a great staff! I’m excited to see them expand!

Great lobster roll with no fillers and great customer service with awesome attitude. Went to the truck at Reaver Brewing Company.

Overall the lobster roll was pretty good. My bread was a little soggy from the mayonnaise base. The wait was about 30 – 45 minutes long on Saturday.

I have been driving by this darn truck for quite some time wanting to try it so bad-so when I finished a hardcore workout I decided I NEEDED it when I saw it was open. Now I am a snob and don’t like mayonnaise-so the traditional Maine Lobsta roll is out of the question for me-so it was a decision between the Maine Haddock Fish & Chips or the Maine Butta Roll. In the end the sheer amount of food involved with the Maine Haddock Fish & Chips won me over. I ordered and then waited somewhat impatiently but eventually it came out. Fat kid in me brought it to the car and demolished the fish. There was a sizable amount but it literally lasted 3 minutes. I grabbed some malt vinegar for the crinkle cuts-but I had to stop myself from eating all of it so I wouldn’t spoil my dinner. That fish was literally the least fishy flavor of any I have ever had-it tasted like a more flavorful and juicy chicken. I will definitely be back for a Butta Roll. Consider me a visitor to a Bite of Maine whenever I see it open.

Freaking amazing! We tried them out on a Sunday afternoon. It’s a food truck, tiny kitchen ya know? So the line was long and so was the wait for your food. But, hey, what do you expect? Everything was made to order with the exception of the chowder and bisque. They had a good rythm going, take and order and have an order ready. There is a good amount of seating. We opted to eat out of the back of our vehicle. I saw a lot of people take their order to go but I recommend eating it fresh so it doesn’t get soggy. I had the lobster roll basket and my husband had fish n chips. The lobster roll was so amazing! I have never has anything like it. So fresh and sweet. I even shared a few bites with my husband. The coleslaw was basic and went well together. They use crinkle cut fries and they were perfectly cooked! The fish was haddock and a very generous portion! Nice thick pieces with a seasoned breading. No sauce required, it was that good! They also have a fish truck next to it. I will probably stop in sometime to buy some haddock. Give it a try, be prepared to wait, and enjoy!

Crab bisque was incredible. My lobster roll was beyond stuffed. The fried clams were excellent. It was pricey but ohhhhhh… so worth it. They are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s so don’t say I didn’t warn you.

We stop here almost every Sunday afternoon after our First Landing Park run. We usually get either the lobster roll or the clam chowder for our post-run protein meal. Both are outstanding. The lobster roll is overflowing with tender lobster with just the right amount of mayo and seasonings. We love the clam chowder as well; chunks of bacon and clams in a creamy base. The fried clam strips and fish and chips are next on the list to try. This is a wonderful, low-key food truck business with a truck selling fresh seafood next door. They have limited hours so I suggest looking on-line before coming to ensure they’re open. Also, there’s almost always a line of customers, so be prepared to wait a little bit on your order. I definitely think it’s worth a try and would recommend it to anyone who loves old school New England style seafood dishes.

Lobsters 2 U and A bite of Maine are in the exact same location but they are two different business’s. We had been meaning to checkout the lobster rolls with the lobsters being shipped in from Maine and we finally went out of our way on a Saturday to make this happen. Not only did we have some amazing lobster rolls we were able to grab some fresh scallops and haddock next door a Lobsters 2 U. They gave us complimentary lobster bisque and even gave another one to little man with the broth only. Everything was spot on and the set up was legit. We had a wonderful time eating them in the car because of the rain. We would have eaten outside on the picnic tables had the weather been nice. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in fresh seafood and amazing lobster rolls. I can’t wait to go back!

I was a bit skeptical… seafood from a food truck? C’mon! But I’ve seen the pictures of their lobster rolls from friends on Facebook and I just had to try them myself. My husband and I went for lunch last Saturday. It was sunny but cold and crazy windy. I was relieved to see a line in front of the truck. That lets me know that the food must be good for people to overlook the weather. We got two lobster rolls for $ 26, a pint of clam chowder for $ 6.99, and a whoopie pie for $ 2.99. The lobster roll was amazing! The lobster meat was fresh and chunky. The bread was buttered and toasted perfectly. The clam chowder was good, not the best. I found it to be too watery. The whoppie pie was too sweet and fell apart. I should have forgone the whoppie pie. But again, the lobster roll was really good, defiantly worth the price.

A food truck with lobster just outstanding. The lobster roll is just fantastic and a decent value. If you close your eyes you would think you were in Maine it is heaven. We also had the Haddick fish fry oh my God, another outstanding choice. There’s always a line but the service is reasonably fast for the situation. Looking forward to another trip sometime. Yum… Yum…

I have been needing a good reason to come out here since it is a bit of a drive to get here from where I live. Thank you doggies for needing to be groomed! I convinced my husband to give this place a try and we were hooked. We came on a Saturday and there was a good amount of people there. The weather was a bit iffy so we were able to order and grab a table for us easily. Between the husband and I, we both ordered a lobster roll for each of us. I ordered the lobster roll with a secret sauce. The sauce is mayo based so husband ordered one subbed with butter. They did not skimp on how much lobster was given!(see pic). I absolutely loved mine and I am hooked on lobster rolls! Lobster was fresh and plentiful. The sauce adds flavor and is a great binder, but if some falls off — just grab a fork and eat it off your plate to not waste a bite. We loved it so much, we came back the next day since we happen to be by the area again. The place even gave us a sample of clam chowder and it was just as good. We sat down to eat and people rave about the place as we waited for our food. I wish this place was a permanent establishment, but I will take what I can get!

Generous portions! Big fan of seafood and had to try this place out based on recommendations from friends. I ordered the lobster roll and it was huge with a heaping amount of lobster. It was so juicy and the taste was divine. Maybe a little biased because of my love for seafood, but it was delicious! There were several other lobster, crab, clam items on the menu but I don’t have that kind of stomach room to try it all. Guess I’ll have to tear myself away from the lobster roll and try a new item each time I return. Definitely worth the drive to get to this food truck! Overheard they will be eventually opening up a restaurant. Hope it will be soon and closer to where I live. Future regular here!

I love lobster rolls and don’t have the pleasure of being in New England to get them as often as I would like.(Think not in the past three years). I had anticipated just buying lobsters to steam myself but I couldn’t help buying a roll to eat outside on the picnic tables and I wasn’t disappointed. It was on a nice buttered roll and it was overflowing with lobster meat — just how I like them. Altogether a yummy experience.

This is my second time checking out the unassuming red trailer parked in the middle of the parking lot off of Great Neck. Possibly you have seen them on the weekends and the line of people outside their window. Located in the Marina Shores Shopping center with anchor Taylor’s Hardware. Only one way in and out of the parking lot off Great Neck. Once you enter there are plenty of parking around the business. There you will find the stationary food truck serving their food. You will also find a van that sells the bulk wholesale seafood. It’s all the same business. I tried them out once and had a poor experience and did not go back. I wrote a note to the owner regarding my soggy Haddock fish & chips dish. He sent me a message back and apologized and urged me to try them again. The purchase was done right before they closed which may have been of issue. Fast forward to today and upon driving by I thought why not give them a second try which is something I rarely do. However, this time it would be their famous signature Lobster Roll that everyone seems to rave about. I stepped up to the line, yes there was a line. But on a beautiful January day no big deal. The menu board has the options for mains and sides. You can get whole belly fried clams, poutine, chowders and french fries, They also have lobster bisque, possibly shrimp bisque that rotates in. Today no soup was on the menu. You can combo up with fries, or coleslaw for $ 2. Drinks are extra, but they do sell them. It did not take long to place order and the friendly woman that assisted me was terrific. You pay at the window through an iPhone reader. An authentic roll will set you back $ 13.99 + tax. The poor woman’s back at the end of the day must ache from bending over all day, I don’t think the line ever stops. A peak inside revealed a couple of other men working. A gas fired stove with a pot on low heat was interesting due to the pots size. Probably about 5 minutes if that and order was up. They do not ask for name, they just call out your order. Served in styrofoam and a bag I could head for one of their picnic tables in the parking lot, or head out. I elected to leave and snapped that gorgeous pic I posed from home. So lets talk Lobster Roll. It’s weighed out at ¼ pound per the menu board. When I popped open the lid I may have heard angels sing. I was completely floored by how visually impressive it was. The amount of lobster was incredible. This is the reputation that I have understood they have and I was thrilled to know they have kept it up. The buns are toasted on the grill, I could see that when peaking in. You can be a sissy and use a fork, or just go for it and pick that bad boy up and start shoving it in your mouth and scream with delight. Option 2 seemed best since I was starved. The first bit is memorable, popping flavors will surely dance in your mouth as they did mine. A quality product with fresh lobster and the tasted proved to me overwhelming. The bun held up, no sogginess at all. The meat is pure heaven, no fillers and NOSHELLS. I consumed it in minutes and wished I had got the deal for a second. Now I know why people get excited over their lobster roll. I have heard locally that Green Onion has the best LR at a set down, the cost being almost twice as much. I cannot confirm that. I had no experience with the sales out of the van for the whole fish purchases. Both today and the last time I came they had a line. So, only assuming that you should be willing to check them out as others have. They have built a reputation for fresh Maine products. But how do they do it. I talked with the owner and they indeed do get fresh product weekly from Maine through a network where they pick up, but no longer drive all the way up North. Yes, they did do that at one time to ensure they brought back the freshest fish and lobster to their customers. I have great meals all of the time, so today’s out of a food truck is judged differently than a full sit down obviously. I am rating the product and service at the window. Although my first time would have been low this visit more than made up for it. Tonight I may just have lobsters dancing in my head. I will be back.

We tried this food truck on a Sunday afternoon and totally enjoyed the food. The 3 of us all had the lobster roll, slaw and fries. The portion of lobster on the rolls was very generous and was very fresh and delicious. It was primarily claw meat in a very light mayo based dressing. The crinkle cut fries were served nice and hot and were very good as was the slaw. We can’t wait to go back and get the lobster rolls again or try the fish and chips.

Finally made it to this side of town to try this Lobsta roll! It was easy to find the big red food truck once we turned into the parking lot. There was plenty of parking(I mean it is in a parking lot) and a few picnic tables to enjoy your food. I had one mission and that was getting my hands on those lobster roll. There were other options to choose from like fish and chips and chowder. Will try that the next time. Placed my order and waited for my name to be called. There were plenty of customers in and out as I waited. Customers were taking advantage of the breezy weather as they ate at the picnic tables or ate in their cars. So about the Lobster roll… it was good, it didn’t give me a «Wow» factor. The roll was lightly toasted and buttery so it made it taste better. Lobster didn’t really have any season to it even tho I kept the mayo-spice. I guess you can substitute it for butter. The sandwich is cold, don’t know why I thought it was going to be warm? I agree with other reviews in terms of the sandwich not having any form. As everyone else mentioned there’s plenty of lobster meat, it was fresh and chunky making it a solid sandwich.

We tried the daily special: The size portion and the freshness of the $ 13 haddock fish and chip were extremely generous: there were two huge portions of fish. We also ate the $ 26 two delicious lobster rolls with generous amount of lobster meat…$ 2 small fries, $ 4 medium fries. It was easy and free to park. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend warmly this place.

Fresh Maine lobster, perfectly cooked– do not miss! Look for the red food truck with white trim & pop-up tents, parked next to their van selling fresh seafood by the pound. Super friendly staff, seems to always be a line but it moves fast so don’t let it deter you. Delicious lobster roll, I had mine without mayo(just lobster meat on a butter roll) and it was GREAT. $ 13.99 per roll, 2 for $ 26, +$ 2 for cole slaw & fries ***FRI-SAT-SUN only*** We were offered a sample of their chowder, which was New England style, and excellent. They also had fried belly clams and fresh haddock, which I expect are also good. Yes, it’s a food truck, so be prepared for take-out. They have limited seating under their tents, and the seats turn pretty fast.

Find this little gem in the Marina Shores Shoppes parking lot off Great neck road. It is the left turn right after the overpass. How did I learn about this little known enterprise? Word of mouth. I became aware of Lobsters2u at a party Saturday night and I sought them out Sunday morning. I’m glad that I did. Lobsters2u has been distributing fresh seafood from Maine for about a year now. Melissa and Ryan have been cooking up those yummy Lobster Rolls for about 6 months. lump(super duper lump) lobster meat is heated with butter on a grill, a mayo based sauce seasoned with super secret spices are incorporated with the meat which is then served open faced on a buttery browned bun. All’s fair in the meat distribution. The lobster meat is weighed, ensuring that all diners have an equal amount of yum yum in their sandwich. No one gets jipped. I have no complaints about the overabundance of meat, but there definitely wasn’t enough bun, All of the meat that fell off was quickly picked up by fork and devoured. The staff are super, duper nice. Really friendly and welcoming. I asked Melissa a lot of questions and she answered them all energetically. She has a bright personality. Right now June 2015 they are using a van for their distribution but I’ve been informed that they should have a food truck in about two weeks. The set up: a white van a tent A grill A listing of offerings and an email sign-up list at the order/pay table 2 outdoor dining tables complete with table cloths, folding chairs and napkins
