Above average burrito for a great price. The burrito was large and tasty, and service was good. The décor of the restaurant is little makeshift, and service was good. I would suggest that this is a single $ on price.

Wanted to try this place for a while and I must say it was pretty good. Traditional Mexican food. The tacos where great and the service was good. Definitely will stop back again

Went based on reviews. Big mistake. Bland food, nearly tasteless, especially the rice, beans, sopas and quesadillas. Chips are store bought, salsa the consistency of dishwater. Watching the owner open saloon doors with clean pots and pans left a bad taste in my mouth and hopefully that’s all! Worst Mexican food ever.

Don’t let the interior discourage you — it sure needs a facelift, but the food here is excellent. We had lunch there. Not many people dining in, but a lot of people were getting take-out. I would go again next time I’m in downtown Vineland

The location and interior of this restaurant are enough to scare me away. But I stuck it out, and i’m happy that I did because I enjoyed some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. The interior of the restaurant is pretty terrible. It’s brick walls, dusty ceiling, and a bizarre make-shift spot for a cash register. The tables are mixed and matched and most are covered in vinyl. It does seem clean. When you sit down, you are brought chips and no salsa. Instead, they bring you two different sauces for the chips and you squirt the sauces out of bottles. Kind of weird, but it worked okay. I’d prefer salsa but this place has its own way of doing things. I ordered a chicken burrito that was phenomenal. The ingredients were fresh and thoughtfully prepared, giving the burrito amazing flavor. It wasn’t the biggest burrito in the world, but I didn’t mind because it was so good. I also had some beans and rice, and both tasted freshly cooked. I did have my share of failures, including learning that the restaurant no longer served beer and that they were out of just about every soda I wanted. I also was unsuccessful with a cheese dip order, as all I received was a bowl of shredded cheese. Seriously? Mexicans who haven’t heard of melted cheese? Meh, whatever, I enjoyed everything else thoroughly. Drinks are mostly available in bottles. The leche(white stuff) drink was very popular with the Mexican patrons, who ordered it exclusively during the time we were there. I also had a dessert, the flan. It was pretty good and I’d recommend it. There were some more bizarre ethnic thins on the menu, including goat. I didn’t go for those options.

My boyfriend and I finally decided to try this place out and I’m happy we did. Although I’m still sketchy about eating on Landis Ave, this restaurant seemed very clean and well kept. They give you chips and green and red salsa for an appetizer. The fajitas were really good but there was no plate of fix ins on the side. I overall enjoyed my food, but my boyfriend didn’t. He tried one of their goat tacos and hated it, but loved the burrito. I also tried this drink called the horchata and it was awesome! It was overall pretty inexpensive as well, I spent $ 25 on all of that food! I vote that it was definitely worth the price we paid.

Authentic and tasty Mexican food. Chicken burrito was $ 4.95. But weak bar. They have beer and frozen margaritas only(none on the rocks).

This place blew my mind when me and my woman recently dined here. She got the awesome carnitas and I decided upon chicken enchiladas w/a mole sauce. The mole was spot on and complimented the enchiladas so well. They also serve beer which is a hugeee plus and have horchata which is one of my favorite beverages. If any of my friends are looking for an authentic Mexican experience, this is where I would send them. This place is awesome and I cannot wait to go back for more.

I love this place. I was introduced by a friend that works close to their and ever since I enjoy the food. Its good authentic Mexican food that I know anyone would enjoy. the menu is half Spanish and English so you can get the gist of what you are ordering. The place does serve beer like Dos XX and Tecate to Corona and Modelo. I always get the chicken tacos with everything. I have tried other stuff and its all worth the price because they do give you a good amount. Best bet is to go with an empty stomach. The ladies who serve hand you nachos with green and red salsa sauce as an appetizer to the meal for free. Just go and give it a shot you wont be disappointed. the food is great also don’t be afraid to try the rice drink called horchata as my boy Joe had said to me «it tastes like the milk from the bottom of a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch» and he was right mmmmm horchata!

I’ve been to Cinco de Mayo twice and had a good experience both times. Cinco de Mayo is a little«mom & pop» Mexican Restaurant and Grocery Store that caters to the local Mexican population. There isn’t much in the way of ambiance but it’s clean and food is authentic, tasty and cheap! The service is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. Since none of the staff speak fluent English, ordering off the menu is an adventure! The menu makes an attempt at being bilingual(in English and Spanish) so even if you don’t speak Spanish, you’ll have an idea of what you are ordering. With group effort amongst the staff and my limited Spanish, we ended up with food items we were happy with and we all had a good laugh. A la carte items range from $ 1 to $ 4 and platters are about $ 8. The restaurant has a good selection of Mexican beers and imported sodas. For something really different, try a fruity Mexican milk shake called a horchata. I tried and enjoyed their goat meat(barbacoa) tostada and tacos, cheesy cactus(nopales asada con queso) and a Mexican sausage taco(taco con chorizo) and a Mexican apple soda(Sidral Mundet) and Mexican beer. Fresh onion & cilantro, tender meat, lettuce, tomato, lime were featured in my choices and they were delicious! My Mom ordered a great enchilada rojo platter which included delicious creama(mexican sour cream) cotija cheese and rice and beans and enjoyed her choices as well. The portions aren’t huge, they’re just the right size to eat while you’re there.
