Stopped in for a quick bite and pit stop on the way back to Vegas. We almost walked out and just drove through, as it was going a little slow. I think that was mostly due to the couple in front of us that couldn’t make up their minds. Once at the counter, we were greeted by a friendly employee and placed our order. The order was up quickly and correctly and we were on our way. I was pleasantly surprised at the freshness of their brewed iced tea. Had it not been for our favorite Victorville spot being closed, we never would have stopped. It worked out well, as the Mrs. is a big fan of «Wienie hut.» I wouldn’t hesitate to stop again when in the area. The chili-​cheese dogs were as you would expect and the french fries were your typical fast-​food, shoe string variety.

This place was great. The cashiers were friendly, the food was made quickly, and they even offered to make me a different ice cream since the first one didn’t have sprinkles like I asked for. The inside is clean and much more spacious than I thought a wienerschnitzel would look like. And it’s nice and cool! Good for when you’re tired of the heat. and they have some tvs to watch. I came here on national hotdog day where they had tons of customers but they still handled everything very smoothly. Really cool! Also, I ordered a cotton candy dipped ice cream. The dip hardens around the soft serve ice cream and they put sprinkles on it and unlike how I thought the cotton candy would be too sweet and overwhelm my taste buds in a bad way, it was delicious and reminded me of circus animal cookies! So good!

I’ve mentioned before I have an unnatural affinity for Wienerschnitzel. Unfortunately I have to put up with the dregs of Mr. Happy (and no Tastee Freeze) at the nearest branch (see
), or put up with the absolute incompetence of the staff in Castaic, so I’ve pretty much had to pass on the place for a while now.
Anyhoo, this was on the way so what the hell. Scary clientele, but Crystal running the place was keeping everything spic & span. My wife was happy, my daughter was happy. My footlong tasted microwaved, but three cups of uncaffeinated Mug root beer works wonders for me (fuck you, Barq’s!)
A little down the road I noticed a brand new WS in Apple Valley. Have to remember that for next time. $ 5-​$ 10 per person. If you park right outside you may get blocked in by the drive-​thru line. 4 stars.
