The bar was a pretty ok bar, coke poured from plastic 2 liter bottles(flat) Ordered 2 hamburgers and about halfway thru cooking them they said they had no buns. tried to order taquitos the bar tender said they would take to long to make(remove from freezer and drop in hot oil) Needless to say wont be going back there again. Oh the bar tender was nice enough but could only do 1 thing at a time.

Service is slower than it used to be. One waitress at lunch. She was nice and friendly but a little«flakey» if you will… We were greeted when we walked in but waited at least 5 minutes for her to stop talking to the other table before she took our drink order and waited until she brought the drinks and we asked for menus before we actually got menus. She spent more time dancing and socializing with who I can only assume we’re friends than actually working. They were out of ½ the beer selection due to a «vender no show»! I will say our appetizer was good, as was my steak. I didn’t get to eat my Mac n cheese because I don’t like jalapeños and said no jalapeño on my Mac and it was full. Even picking them out didn’t help… It’s sad that I defended this place to family and even Facebook. Our first visit was great… This is only our second and it will definitely be our last… I do not see a long standing history for this place unless they come in and clean house… Oh speaking of clean, pee before you go! Not too sure they mop those bathroom floors! Pretty sure there are some serious health code violations going on in there!!!

They need to take Steakhouse off their door. The food was not fresh. Wanted mashpotatoes got soup. The bartender was nice and the beer was cold. First time, last time

Love this place! Even though they’re short staffed, the girls work hard to make sure you’re happy before you leave.

I will try again to give this place the Benefit of a doubt, but from my first impression I am very disappointed. Read reviews on the mac n cheese so tried it and I wish I didnt. Flavorless mush. The other food was not what I had ordered but didn’t want to complain. Service was nothing to praise either. Probably just a bad night. We’ll see

Had dinner last night here! It was really good! Only one server, bartender, hostess! She worked her tail off! New your steak, salmon, and pork chop were ordered from our group and all enjoyed our food! Live entertainment was a plus!

This place is honestly a diamond in the rough!!! Food is amazing!!! I highly recommend the fish and chips.(Some of the best I’ve ever had) Mac n cheese is pretty good as well. Burgers are ginormous and good flavor. Give it a try!

They say that the third time is the charm. Though I didn’t have two bad experiences before the third, this third experience here at Broken Saddle saloon was the saving factor for me to continue dining at this establishment. I give credit as savior to our server Kisty. No, I didn’t misspell her name. She was not just friendly, personal, and professional, she really paid attention to detail. She gives us hope that the fourth experience will be just as good. Now for the food. I’m not a creature of habit so I had to try something new from the menu. In the past visits, I would always see the huge plates of nachos being served and people never finishing them, so I gave it a try for myself. Needless to say, we couldn’t finish it all either. We also tried the fish and chips. From the crispy cod to the crispy fries and the homemade tarter sauce, it was definitely a good pick. Sometimes you have to just forgive and forget and hope they read Unilocal for a better experience the next time.

Service is slooooowww especially for the amount of people that are in there which is hardly anybody, food isn’t as good as it was when they first opened. They went through a lot of turnover the first month and they’ve gone down hill since.

Ordered : –Chicken with a side salad and steak fries –Carne Asada nachos –Rib eye steak with garlic mash and jalapeño mac and cheese Let me start off with the positive. It’s a country bar with comfortable seats. The atmosphere is nice they play country music. The have a good amount of TV’s and have sports on. The waitress was very nice and friendly. They give a lot of food. The steak and chicken were very tender. OK now with the negative. There were only two other tables so it wasn’t busy, but service is very slow. The food took a while to come out. I ordered jalapenos on my nachos and they had none. When she served them, she again asked me if I wanted jalapenos and I said yes but she never brought them. My mom ordered mushrooms on her steak never got them. She didn’t ask if we wanted ketchup for the fries so I had to go up to the bar and ask for it. I would say overall the food doesn’t have much flavor. I may come back just to try other food and see if they were having a bad day.

Horrible! Don’t waist your time! The service is horrible I waited 45 minutes to get a menu before I walked out. They did give us our drinks but came back twice because they didn’t have the beer I ask for on tap! Finally when my beer came it was hot and it tasted like shit! They had live entertainment and the singer was the worst singer that I’ve ever heard in my life. Our whole experience was bad! I will never go back !!

Wow the best ribeye in town!!! You’ve got to try their delicious macaroni and cheese! Can’t beat their drink prices either! Definitely a place to bring friends and family. Call in advance for parties with more that 6 people.

I’ve been here twice for dinner and once for lunch. After going twice, I bought a certificate from their radio promo on «High Desert Cheap & Easy» to give The Broken Saddle. In my experience, Its been«marginal» all three visits. LOCATION: Okay, so its in an older shopping center… no big deal. But there is STILLNOSIGN up, only the name painted on the windows… Its been six or so months now. No sign makes it hard to find and feels«cheap» on the owners part. DECOR: Nice renovation from the old pizza joint I grew up in. The short tables have chairs that are much too tall for them. Really uncomfortable, and I’m only 5’2. Hubby is 6’2″… We changed tables. SERVICE: Here’s where things fall apart. They only have two servers and both are untrained and inexperienced. It shows in their disorganization and hustling that equates to inefficiency, inattentive service, and frustrated customers. They make single trips for one task at a time accomplishing little more than wearing out the carpet. They need server training. We were handed two menus by the busboy. One menu book was completely blank. When we told him about it he looked at us confused and said«Do you just want to share that one?»(!!!). We were given water, and then left to wait for 15 min for our drink order. My very patient husband commented on the unfriendly, brunette skinny tattooed server needlessly interrupting the blonde server, while she tried to give them her full attention. We were served by the blonde, who was super friendly, but inefficient and thereby slow. There were only about 5 tables of guests and 2 servers. They were both harried, although the place was not at all busy… poor training. The owner(s)(or at least who I believe is the owner), is behind the bar or sitting at the bar drinking, either, but clearly not paying attention to anything that is going on with the customers. People waiting to order, to have empty dishes removed from in front of them, dirty tables cleaned, waiting to get their checks, all while she appears oblivious. She needs to be supervising her staff and out on the floor, greeting and getting to know her customers and making sure they are happy with her establishment. The cook rang the bell to indicate that some appetizers were up for a table next to us being served by Tattoo girl. She ignored his notification and the food sat on the counter while she bs’d with friends at her table. A few minutes later, the cook rang the bell twice and from across the restaurant she raised her arms at him an exaggeration annoyance and said«I know I heard you» in her snottiest voice, and made a bit of a scene. Owner paid no attention and didn’t seem concerned. FOOD: The menu is somewhat limited. I ordered the $ 12 sirloin steak medium rare. The steak tasted good but it was overcooked to medium, I am sure because it was very thin. The second visit, I ordered a chicken with veggies & salad. The chicken was nicely cooked, but I literally scraped off a thick layer of unmelted salt from the top of my chicken. The veggies. Squash, carrots, zucchini were delicious. Salad was dry. This weekend, I ordered an appetizer of macaroni and cheese, supposedly the highlight of their menu. Unfortunately the jalapeños were raw and chopped irregularly and much too large… Sure sign of an untrained chef. Most of them were the size of my pinky finger. A shot of raw, hot jalapeños in the creamy dish were totally out of place. I ordered the most expensive steak, for $ 17, medium rare with veggies and a salad. Again, the $ 17 steak was overcooked. It was WELL done. The veggies? A mix of under cooked chopped purple cabbage, celery, onions, & a piece or two of chopped zucchini. No chef would put together that combination of ingredients and serve it as a side. Each visit, the salad is mostly bone-dry, unappealingly warm lettuce. They really need to get that lettuce rinsed and chilled. Had my server come back to check on us, I would have asked for a properly cooked steak and a different side… My husband ordered the Western burger and onion rings. His burger was delicious. The onion rings were okay. The Broken Saddle is old enough to have worked out the expected hitches, but rather than improving, things here are getting worse.

So, I will start off by saying I live in the high desert and this is not the most desirable neighborhood and it is more of a bar/lounge environment. All the tables are bar height four tops and they can put several together if you have a large party. It would be nice if they had some booths or low tables, but I am not rating them on that. I am rating them on the quality of the food, value, service and cleanliness. It is very clean. Our server was Kelly and she was young and didn’t know the answers to some of our questions, but did her best to find out and provided us with excellent service. We had a couple of GG dirty martinis and they did not disappoint. We had an appetizer and it was good but typical bar food. We ordered a rib-eye and the salmon and various sides — the food was fresh, hot, delicious and affordable. The mac and cheese was delish! I plan to come back with my husband and will continue to visit occasionally as long as they continue to live up to my expectations. Worth a try and won’t break the bank!

Tried them for dinner. There were 5 patrons(us, and three guys at the bar, who seemed to be friends of the staff), so no reason for slow service. Definitely an area that needs to be improved upon, as well as food temps. I ordered chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and mac-n-cheese for sides. The chicken was absolutely delicious and the potatoes were good as well, but should have been hotter. The mac-n-cheese was lukewarm, but the flavor was there. I figured I would just take the mac-n-cheese home and eat it later, which is a good thing, because our server, although very friendly, didn’t come back to check in with us until we were almost finished. My husband ordered the sampler platter, which he liked. Not sure if we’ll go back. The Sunday Brunch looks like it might be worth trying, so we’ll see. Definitely some potential, so I hope they work out the kinks.

Wandered in off the street deciding to try something new and glad we did! They have some great food here. I got the sampler platter to try a few things and my husband got the salmon with sautéed veggies and chips with salsa. The sampler platter is ginormous. For just $ 13, I thought there would only be 1 to 2 pieces each(of chicken tenders, taquitos, potato skins, jalapeño poppers, and mozzarella sticks). Alas, there were 5 pieces of most things! The chicken tenders are HUGE and have amazing flavor. I will definitely be returning for these chicken tenders and I don’t usually eat them. The mozzarella sticks are mozzarella sticks, nothing special there(you can’t really make those things special) and the taquitos were good but I have had better(I wouldn’t expect more since it’s not a Mexican restaurant). The jalapeño poppers were very tasty and not too spicy which I liked! The potato skins were also good, better when dipped in the Ranch dressing. My hubby said the veggies were excellent and the salmon was pretty good as well. Next time, he’ll try the steak. Next time, I’ll be trying the Mac N cheese! Our server was also great… Friendly and attentive. No issues there. Ambiance isn’t romantic or anything but it’s a fun environment. While the tables are almost entirely bar height tables, the chairs are super cushy. The place seems very clean as well. We will definitely be back.

The good: Sever was very friendly and helpful. Flavor of food was great. We had the 12 oz steak. That came with mashed potatoes and delicious Mac n cheese. We also ordered the pulled pork sliders. The sliders were delicious. The price point was good. The bad: We came with our family and when we first came in, it really had the appearance of a bar. We almost left because we weren’t sure if it was going to be a good place for the kids. Most the tables are high top tables so my kids feel off the stool a couple times during the meal. The Mac n cheese although super flavorful was not as hot as I would like, and the steak was very tasty but a little undercooked for what we ordered. I would recommend the sliders just would order without the pickle next time. The location was a little strange too. Overall I would go back again but not with the kids.
