Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rochester-Victor

3 ½ stars not quite a four but not a basic three either.
This is the second or third time I have stayed at this Holiday Inn. The staff is plenty friendly, although they spent a lot of time over explaining things like Wi-​Fi codes. The hotel could use a little bit of rehab, inside the room there was some stretched wallpaper, etc. It just needs a little love.
I was not super impressed by the price.
was $ 134 per night. That seems a little high for a very basic hotel. There is a pool and a large free breakfast every morning. I did not use the pool or the exercise facilities.
All in all a solid and basically clean hotel. The parking lot seemed safe and well lit. I will wind up staying here again.

Stayed for two nights this past week. Hotel is nice looking inside with friendly staff but they put us in a room far at the end of the second floor. Very far from the elevator (only one). Room had two queen beds which is nice but very thin comforters. The TV is far too small and HBO 1 and 2 didn’t even work, frozen images. No fridge in the room. They wanted $ 20 to supply one – I hate it when they do that. It should be standard at these prices ($ 120+ per night). Bathroom was a nice size but to our surprise found roaches crawly the walls of it. I’ll upload a few pics of the creepy visitors. There’s nothing like sleeping in a place wondering if a bug will be crawling on you at night – ugh.
For breakfast each time I went to check for bacon or sausage there was none. Not much bread either, lots of cinnamon rolls though.
Fitness room only had a couple of treadmills. That’s pretty bad in this day and age.
Needless to say, I was not impressed with this hotel. It’s also very pricey compared to other places in the area. Totally not worth it, especially with the roaches crawling the walls – you’ve been warned!

Its ok. Pool area is really small. Kind of a strange smell in the place. Not gross but just something you can’t quite put your finger on and it’s not appealing.
Rooms were decent. The part that was really great was the free continental breakfast. It had a ton of options and was the best I have ever seen before in terms of options and staff constantly replacing and upgrading new warm options for breakfast.

Booked here through Priceline so was probably a good deal cheaper than what I would have paid for it had I gone directly through Holiday Inn.
My only complaint is that they put us in a smoking room, thus the one star loss on them. Lucky for them I quit smoking fairly recently so it wasn’t a make or break deal for me getting that room.
Other than that it was very clean, bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve had in a hotel, and breakfast was included with the room.

Pristine room, comfy bed and a nice selection at breakfast. When first coming to my room, I saw some kids entering the one next to mine and thought «oh great. These turds are going to be noisy», but once the door was closed it was nice and quiet. You can hear people passing in the halls but not in the adjacent rooms.
The only bad thing I have to mention is that the bath towels are a bit crunchy and frayed at the ends.

Luck of the draw, I ended up in a room that was very poorly cleaned. There was enough hair in the bathtub to knit a sweater. The tissue box was empty with no other backup in the room. They still have the old style TV’s. The exercise room has 2 treadmills and 1 bicycle. The treadmill I was on good barely exceed walking speed. Breakfast was good. Typical Holiday Inn Express with scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, biscuits & gravy, cinnamon buns, fruit, yogurt, cereal and pancakes. The hotel was not a good value for what I paid.

Nice continental breakfast rooms are nice. Heating units noisy.
