AC’s Southern Style BBQ

You can get great BBQ right in the little community of Victor! I live just south east of Victor on Kettleman Lane and I don’t like to go into town if I can avoid it. After far too long, I stopped in at AC’s BBQ and picked up a barbecue sandwich with with two sides. I split the sandwich and the sides into two meals I loved them both! For me, there was just more food than I should eat at one meal, always a great bonus when you pick up food for takeout. AC’s BBQ is inside the Victor Country Store at the back. AC’s has its own entrance, but I’m not sure if it’s used as I always walk through the store. This location has had several independent food concessions over the years, I sure hope this one will last. The food’s great, the chef is friendly and definitely knows what he’s doing! The last time I was in they still hadn’t developed the interior with tables and a TV for sports, etc. I hope the owner gets to that soon. It would be a great place to watch a football game, have a beer, have some barbecue and cheer on your team with friends!

This is amazing, down home genuine bbq cooked like it should be. Friendly people, limited hours, but I regularly stop in here since I found this hole in the wall several months ago. I will continue to visit every chance I get. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get, and it’s not like the chain bbq restaurants that place your plate on a scale to serve you by the ounce for over priced amounts. Love this place, get you some soon!

AC’s Southern Style BBQ!!! I just found a new BBQ spot! Actually I’ve heard of the spot for a while and I’ve only recently checked it out. My sister works with the owner who recently opened up this spot.
It’s in a unassuming spot that houses a mini-​mart too. Décor is lacking but who needs it. I came for the barbecue not the frills. AC’s provides just that. They had one gentleman workin who was in the middle of makin some pretty good lookin potato salad and doin the barbecue duties. Busy guy.
I ordered the rib special and my sister had the pulled pork sandwich. My ribs were meaty, tender, and bathed in their delicious BBQ sauce. They give you a cup of extra sauce if you should want it. I did and even drank a little right from the cup. It’s that good.
Pulled pork sand was delish, I would prefer more pork however. Sides of beans were sweet yet spicy. They were a great compliment to the ribs and pulled pork.
All in all, I’d come back in a heartbeat. I just wish they had everything on their menu available to eat. Potato salad and carrot cake were not available. If you like quality barbecue come to AC’s in Victor, Ca!

Because of Dale N’s recent review of this local business I had to check it out especially it being Father’s Day weekend & I wanted to treat my HB to a wonderful meal than the usual AYCE!
Living in Elk Grove and noticing that this business is closed Sundays & Mondays I knew I had to get out there today before our afternoon event especially! My HB is a one of kind man especially since he took it upon himself to raise his own son he had at age 20. His ex-​wife really had no business having kids! There are a few women out there in this world really are better off with no children bc of their selfish self-​centered nature! I know someone else like that too besides my HB’s ex-​wife.
Luckily we found Victor’s market and this BBQ place is located in the rear back corner. There is a small bar area if you wish to eat right away but we ordered our food to go for mañana. Avery got our order ready in record time. Full slab of BBQ ribs (about 13 ribs), beans, potato salad and carrot cake all for under 30.47. BTW we ordered the larger sides too.
Before Avery got our ribs he asked us if we wanted spicy or mild sauce but that was a no brainer as we can’t handle the heat! I’m glad we didn’t want it hot as it would have been too much heat for both of us!
Aside the fact that we ate our food the next day and the potato salad was a bit salty the amount of food was good for both of us for at least two full dinners!!! The ribs were yummy and carrot cake too but I have to admit the beans were TDF!!! WTH??? I loved those beans and normally I’m not a bean person. The beans had some meat in the sauce with them. That made it very satisfying and terrific tasting!!! I’m happy to say we got large containers of the sides! We normally don’t eat ribs for a special occasion especially it being Father’s Day we would have had sushi or have gone to a Japanese restaurant! So it was a nice change of scenery for once!!!
Be aware that this business is very casual and may be better to pick up for a picnic to go. It’s very homey and I don’t recall a restroom available for the public. There is parking right in front so you can count on that! Just remember that they close Sunday and Monday and are open only 1130 – 430 Tuesday thru Thursday, Friday and Saturday 1130 – 8! I’m sure we will be back for the yummy ribs and phenomenal beans!!!

Heard about this place a couple of months ago. Yesterday was the day to pay them a visit. They have been open about 1 ½ years.
Located inside Victor Market in Victor California. Head east on Highway 12 from Lodi about 4 miles. The store will be on the right (south) side in the middle of Victor (1 block business district).
I ordered the chicken and rib combo ($ 13.20). Consists of 4 ribs, ¼ chicken,
beans, potato salad, dipping sauce and a slice of white bread. I really enjoyed the ribs… slow cooked and served drizzled with bbq sauce. They were very tender and although the meat did not quite fall off of the bone it came off easily. The chicken was ok… wish the skin could have been a bit more well done but the chicken was thoroughly cooked. The potato salad was ok… had a bit of an off-​taste that I could not put my finger on. The beans the beans were very good! So good that i ordered an extra side dish to finish off my bbd with. They are made from SCRATCH and contain bits of meat and other ‘secret’ ingredients. They have a bit of heat to them too. I really liked them.
Right now they have a counter with five or six stools where you can enjoy your dinner. They have a lot of open space where they could add tables as needed in the future to accommodate additional business.
Very friendly and helpful employees. The main BBQ’er has been in the food service industry for decades and really enjoys his work.
I will definitely be back for more great bbq… maybe all ribs next time.

Been here twice had the Rib Special both times and they were great. The potato salad was very good but the beans were killer!

Great meal, I got the pulled pork sandwich with the baked beans and potato salad. Friendly service and a great price for amount of food I got.

Ribs were on point, I ordered the half slab and could barely finish it. Great customer service as well.

I ate at AC’S and the ribs were excellent!!! They also have great baked beans and potato salad.
