The food is good when available. It was our 3rd time, and you wonder why so many times, that we have gone in the past 6 weeks, and items were gone or we got the last of a particular item at 6:30 pm. Miss management and the staff is very unfriendly. It is a real bummer! I wish them well but would not recommend. Went on 5÷6÷16.

Was finally able to try this place out to see what all the hype is about. We got the new pulled pork with spinach & cheese along with mac & cheese and their dinner rolls. The spinach & cheese was very salty so not to my liking. The pulled pork was okay. It would have been better if they actually provided their bbt sauce along with it so I can taste their sauce. Bread was decent. We also got their cookies and they were not that good. Very dry and no the typical cookie you’d expect. I’m going to pass up on this place. I leave it up to you friends to try it out. Toodles~

Called and ordered a family meal from Dickies tonight and when we got home we realized they forgot a side dish. When I called the girl I spoke to was super apologetic and knew exactly why I was calling. Said she was looking for my phone number to call me and even searching her caller i.d. I was just calling to give them a heads up but they were awesome. The owner personally delivered our side dish to our house and took $ 5 off the meal that was already paid for. Aside from great food this was outstanding customer service. The definitely went above and beyond to rectify a small error! We will continue to order from them and probably even more often now! Thank you so much for going above and beyond! Chopped brisket is always amazing! Sad you were out of turkey but my dinner was great, as always! :)

1 star for the service and the managerial staff. The fact that they take away the daily deals is a little irritating and this is the only location in the area that does this. This was the managers decision. The service is also terrible. Almost every time I go in the demeanor of the staff is less than accepting and consistently messes up orders. I won’t be going back to this location. The food is good, but everything else is terrible.

Being from Texas, where it is obligatory to eat either BBQ, Mexican food, chicken fried steak, or a good cut of beef every week or wither up and die, perhaps I am prejudiced, but Dickey’s is NOT authentic barbecue. My wife brought home a take out meal the other night and it was so disappointing. I won’t go into exhaustive detail, for most Lodians recognize that this place is simply another ineffectual restaurant chain, but I will mention that their sauce was substandard, and, all other things being equal, if the BBQ sauce isn’t tasty, then little else matters. Dickey’s might spend less money on expensive television ads and more on hiring skilled chefs, capable of producing genuine BBQ…

This poor, poor place is incredibly understaffed! The workers in here are always busting their butts but just can’t seem to keep up. Yesterday we ordered and XL Family meal nd were told 20 – 25 minutes, so we waited about that long to leave the house. When we got there it was another 20 minute wait and they had to substitute some of our order with things they had available because we didn’t want to have to wait for the rest to cook. It wasn’t for lack of trying though; the two gentlemen working sure were working hard. I felt bad for them. The décor inside is ok, but it’s too small and loud and the seats are not very comfy so if you are coming here, I would recommend take-out over dine in. The dinner we got feeds a family of 5 for just over $ 70 after taxes but the food is just 2 – 3 stars. Yesterday the ribs were pretty flavorless, the brisket was dry and the spicy polish with cheese they substituted for the regular polish we wanted was actually pretty disgusting; I spit mine out. The okra was bland, the fries were cold, the potato salad has too much dill and not much of anything else but the onion tanglers are to die for! With KFC and other places closing down, it’s getting harder to find family style take out so we will probably give this place a few more tries… but if things stay like they are, not too many.

A place to go if you like bbq sauce. Cause you’ll need it. The meats are far from smokey but are cooked thoroughly. Overpriced for the quality they advertise but the speed its provided is acceptable. I would recommend for those looking for a quick fix of BBQ and who enjoy sauce which is the one thing here that has a lot of flavor. Overall not terrible not great but decent.

Since I was running short on time and energy, I decided to get my 4th of July BBQ fix from Dickeys. Had a little trouble figuring out where to place my order — I assumed that the obvious place would be at the cash registers but I was mistaken and had to go back to the beginning of the high counter to place my order. Ordered the rib meal with mac & cheese and fried okra as the sides and then tried to order about 1⁄3 pound of brisket. The total at the cashier was higher than I calculated and after inquiring about why the total was so high found out that somehow trying to figure out how to charge me for 1⁄3 pound of brisket was a challenge for the cashier. So I changed my order to ½ pound of the brisket and the numbers came out much better. Got home and assembled myself a plate of a little of everything. I was eagerly anticipating something magical, after all, this is BBQ but in the end, was left with disappointment. Positives: the brisket and the fried okra were quite tasty. Negatives: ribs were mediocre and needed sauce, for sure(and I’m not much of a sauce person), the mac & cheese was not the comfort food I was expecting, and the roll was hard and tasteless(but that is to be expected with industrial bread products). I also felt that the packaging was dirty like someone had used saucy fingers to close the to-go boxes. Gross. I don’t reckon I will be returning here anytime soon but if I do, I will just stick with the brisket. For the same money or less, though, I can make my own.

Dickey’s was a wonderful help to me recently. I showed up and ordered meals for 20 people without calling ahead. I’m sure that it was a huge pain in the butt for the staff. However, they were very helpful and didn’t even blink when I started ordering massive amounts of food to-go. My order was taken care of very quickly and with high-accuracy. This was a big relief to me because I was taking care of meals for my family during an extended family crisis. Dickey’s understands that customers needs are important to meet with a smile.

This place sucks. My 7 year old daughter can bbq better than this place. However, if you would like to eat meat that tastes fake and rubbery and for them to mess up your side this is the place for you. By the end of our meal which was left half eaten, we thought the free ice cream would make up for it… boy were we wrong. Never again…

This place is AWESOME! When i discovered it, i went back every day for a week getting the westerner, trying the different meat combinations., the onion tanglers can be a bit salty, but not to bad. All of the other sides I’ve tried there are really good, but something about those tanglers that keeps making me get them instead. so good.

I always enjoy Dickey’s! I’ve visited 3 times and I’ve tried something new each time. I think my favorite is the cheddar sausage and baked potato casserole. It’s never too crowded when I go and the free ice cream is always a nice treat. They also catered a party at my work. It was easy, delicious and a nice change of pace from the usual pizza or burger. I definitely recommend you give them a try!

I have wanted to like this place, really. Been twice. Chicken as dry as a popcorn fart and absolutely no flavor. I have wondered if I am being too biased having lived in the southeast region of the country for many years. So I had come back for a second time(and because kids eat free on Sundays) hoping that I had gotten an older batch last time… nope still terrible. So disappointed. Search continues for good bbq in the Central Valley 2 stars for the kids behind the counter being friendly and a clean restroom and dining room

Okay so let me start with this location as well the one on Pacific at the Mall, The Lodi location and the new one in Trinity Parkway are all the same old ass owner who has a shit face on every single time we see him. Not a good look! As for the food, well what else can I say, it was shitty, cold and a lot of fat. The chicken had so much fat on it, my son and I were disgusted. We visited the NEWEST location at Trinity the other day and since they just opened, I assumed the food would be better, fresh and hot. HA! Not even a chance! The BBQ sauce was the hottest due to being in a heater all day. So of course its hot, otherwise I am sure it would be just as cold as the meat they serve. As for their pulled pork. nasty & they give you a portion that only a 6 year old would eat. The portion size when ordering a two meat meal should be much more considering their jacked up prices now. The sausage meat was barely luke warm. Their waffle fries we had to wait an extra 6 minutes to be brought out to us because«they had to be made.» Well why were the fries still not fresh as they said they could be. Biscuit of such-Doughy. Undercooked. Try baking them for a bit longer so we don’t have a reaction to eating raw food. Hmmm. Food for thought. Potato Casserole– My son ordered said«It was good.» That is all he could think of. Lol! The employees: Well they bombard you when you walk in, We cannot see over the counter while they prepare our food, which I find awkward because I would like to see what they are doing to my food and if their hands are protected with gloves. They kept asking if we were ready even though no one was behind us in line. They don’t smile. Just very unpleasant. The 4 people preparing our food slid our order down towards the next person touching our plate, and down to the register. I seen our food and Immediately knew something was wrong. They piled on ONIONS&PICKLES onto the chicken sandwich when knowing it was supposed to be on the side. The bun to the sandwich was crusty and hard. I tried to eat my food, but too much fat and the coldness and the thought of them touching my food turned my stomach. Onto paying for our crusty cold food. $ 37 for two people to eat there!!! WTF is right. That shit is so overpriced and overrated its unreal! Especially for some crusty cold food. The owner has issues at their Pacific Ave location(in the mall parking lot) also. Food is tremendously cold and 8 of us went to dine there and the manager couldn’t figure out why the food was cold. I returned our food to get even more cold food! Pretty awesome right? NOT! So I bitch and complained that it was still cold and the owner was fed up with me going back due to their fuck ups. so I demanded my money back, ALL of our money back. And that I got. We will not be returning to this old mans restaurant. He needs to re-up on the hot food and lay off the trash he is serving. Along with their janky kindergarten portions. But thats just my observation of this Dickey’s place. Should rename it «Jankies…»

So I’m back again, last week we went to order the family pack where you receive two different meats and since they ran out of ham and wouldn’t allow us to order more ribs, we decided to cancel our order. They said they would reimburse our money onto the credit card we used. So we waited a week to check our statements to see if they had done so, and they didn’t! The charge was still there. We had to call and complain to get the money back, which they said they could only give us cash, which was fine BUT What gets me is that if we wouldn’t have called, we wouldn’t have gotten our money back and that pisses me off. I’ll never go back to this place here in Lodi, they’re shady

It’s fast food BBQ. Taste and quality is only average. By the time they are served, the meats are cold and dry. I was happy with the 1 Meat Plate portion size. The Quarter Plate was the size of a kid’s meal and not a good value.

Yes, it is a chain but it is close, convenient and decent food. I had the rib meal with a side of scalloped baked potatoes and mac and cheese($ 12)…all pretty tasty. The ribs were a bit dry but with the bbq sauce, quite good. You get about 5 or 6 bones with the two sides. The ribs are definitely fall-off-the bone. Complimentary ice cream for dessert! We were there late afternoon. They do a brisk business both take-out and dine in. I might return.
