Ordered the grouper fingers which were excellent, fresh and lightly breaded. Also had the ahi 2 way, very fresh and nice presentation. Lobster and shrimp scampi was different yet very good. Ordered it with extra garlic, and that is the way it came.

While visiting my Mom, in Vero Beach, I was looking for some good seafood. I found The Patio and I’m extremely happy I did. I greatly enjoyed the seared scallops, the sauce was amazing. My wife loved the Black Grouper and my Mom thought the Mahi sandwich was delicious. I would most certainly recommend The Patio.

Friendly staff, food is solid, price is reasonable, and ambiance is quirky(but fun). Give it a try!

What a disappointment. Ordered the coconut shrimp the six came out overcooked in OLD oil. That’s six for eighteen dollars. Looked like they were frozen with very little coconut on the shrimp. The fries tasted as if the had been recooked to warm them up. Went to the Tiki Bar in Sebastian two days later and got ten perfectly cooked shrimp for nine dollars. Needless to say another trip to The Patio isn’t going to be in my future.

My husband and I ate at The Patio Seafood Tavern last week. We ate outside in the covered patio area. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. My husband had the Cuban Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. I had the Lobster BLT with French Fries. Both entrees were very good and the fries were seasoned perfectly and were hot when we received them. We will definitely be going back.

The Patio was delightful. Our party of four each had a different meal and all were superb. The scallops, coconut shrimp, crab legs and black grouper all got five stars from us. The only reason I did not give five stars was I thought the inside of the restaurant needed a cleaning of the wall décor and was dated. Our waitress Jill was above average and the owner came around to all tables to talk to the patrons. I highly recommend you try the Patio.

This was a terrible experience. After 2 people asked us for our drinks we finally got them after a 15 minute wait. My coffee was terrible and needed to be returned. We ordered the ceaser and the calamari. The calamari was soggy and cold. The ceaser was a big chunk or romaine lettuce. With what I would call a pre made dressing that didn’t even taste like ceaser. We returned both our orders and our bill was voided.

Visited The Patio Seafood Tavern last weekend in Vero Beach, FL. We decided to take my husband’s grandmother out to dinner here on Sunday night to celebrate her 90th Birthday. For the table we ordered the Baked Brie which came serviced with apple slices and walnuts on the side with a very lite but tasty drizzle. The service portion was very generous and priced well. The tasty selection ended up being enough to literally serve the entire table which was a party of 7 atleast twice… For dinner I narrowed my choices down to either the Lobster BLT or the Scallops… I ultimately decided to order the Lobster BLT and it was a GREAT Decision. The meal was serviced with truffle fries and a very large generous sandwich portion which by the way was filled with tons of lobster… This is one restaurant that gets it right… along with the quality of food… at other restaurants when you order something containing lobster they usually seem to skimp on it but not here at the Patio Seafood Tavern… The service and waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and was great and being attentive to what the table needed. I would definitely go back and recommend you do the same and try this place if you are in the area.

We were all set for a new treat tonight. With beeper in hand we were awaiting our 15 wait which turned out to be 40 min. We qestioned the wait when others after us were being seated. Apparently our remote was not working and they did not bother to look for us right outside the door 8 feet away. Then after another15 minutes we were seated in the back room with the whole area filled with folks who were over twice our age, and far away from the upcoming live music. The menu was limited but fair. 18 to 30 dollars pre entre — salad with dinner is an extra 6. We decided to leave and head to Blue Agave down the road. So much for the new Patio, we have no reason to return there.

So The Patio is open again and it’s great! Come quick to support the new owner of this local icon! I went with my parents, who have been going to The Patio since the late 80’s. I worked there when I was 15 bussing tables and prepping food, so I have to say there is a slight bias because I want this restaurant to succeed and live on. That said, we needed to book a venue for 44 in 6 weeks and The Patio was open and I needed to see how it was going. We started with the mussels, which were perfect. The bread was a little stale, but the mussels and the sauce they came in were fresh and delicious. My parents had the mahi sandwich and the ribeye, both perfect! The fish was extremely fresh and the ribeye was super tender and not too fatty. I had the shrimp and lobster scampi, which was 5 lobster ravioli and 5 large shrimp on a bed of spinach with a scampi sauce. It’s was good, not 5 star good but probably 4, and it was priced reasonably at $ 18. The ribeye was $ 28 on the high side, and the fish was $ 14. The drinks were good as well and we sampled quite a few. The Abby, the Mule, and the Dodger Dodger, really good! But the prickly pear margarita is a real head turner! It was so good it might even make Vero Beach abandon its beloved Dodger Dodger and make this the new iconic drink of The Patio! The new owner Bill, was all over the restaurant meeting and greeting. Super nice guy, really excited about restoring this historic landmark to its former glory!

Simply the best calamari I have had in years! The Crispy Calamari was fairly large in portion and size, the squid was the diameter in size with my pinky and was wonderfully seasoned and cooked(A must have if you like calamari!!!). I also enjoyed their Mediterranean Duo which is a generous portion of humus and freshly toasted bread drizzled with olive oil. Their Sofrito Crusted Mahi was the ideally cooked meal, the fish was tender and juicy, laying on a bed of rice and garnished with julienned vegetables of which all were cooked to perfection. However the show stopper for me was the Lobster BLT of which the lobster portion in the sandwich was hearty, and no small item as well, the way a sandwich should be! Two people could most definitely share this sandwich as one meal if they wanted to. The added sliced avocado was certainly a bonus point for me and making this sandwich something I will keep coming back for! The atmosphere was as such as one would expect of the local iconic location of which I have sorely missed and enjoy greatly. The waitstaff is very friendly and knowledgable. In closing I’d have to say that the portion size to price ratio of the meals are pretty much spot on, and with great service and a decent beer list on tap, I will be frequently stopping in for what other delights the menu may hold!
