Been there twice now. I ordered a bunch of entrees for my family and found them all to be top-notch. I’ve enjoyed Indian food at many places including in England, and the food at Taj Mahal Masala is as good as any I’ve experienced. Knocking it down a star not because of the food, but because(1). The dinner plates were cold which quickly reduced the temperature of the entrees, and(2) super uncomfortable chairs made it difficult to focus on the great food. Perhaps next time I’ll just do take out.

I am English, so I know good Indian food when I see it. The food was absolutely awful. When I tried to complain, the owner /chef came on the phone and told me that all their food is excellent. He hung up on me. The meats were so dry that you could tell they had been cooked well before. There were only 3 people in the restaurant at 7:15 I can understand why. The heat indicated by the recipe was no where near spicy. I will NEVER eat from there again especially with the attitude of the owner.

I was visiting the area and took some food back to my hotel… Everything was good, but nothing was spectacular. I had a vegetable curry dish with basmati rice, some naan bread, papadam and chutneys. The chutneys were a little disappointing but all in all food was good

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The menu was pretty extensive, with a lot of items outside the typical Indian fare. The chicken tikka masala was really good. It had a lot of chicken and the sauce was a balanced mix of tomato and cream. I like spicy, and the level 5(Indian hot) was just right. The chili naan was delicious, too, but a little on the greasy side. The crab Bengali was pretty tasty. The papadum dips were a little disappointing. Overall, this place is a little pricey, but it definitely hit the spot when I was craving some Indian.

So sad :(. I love Indian food but can’t find anything good around here. I just moved from Austin and ate Indian food 3+ times a week… The biryani(chicken) is the worst I’ve ever had… So bland. They use white meat. Blah. I like chicken biryiani with mega flavor and full chicken thighs or drum stick. This was just so bland :( Samosas were smaller than I’m used to but the flavor was pretty good. Could have been a bit more spicy. I will have to drive to Melbourne for Indian food and hope they offer something better

We dined here three times in last month — food was truly good all times. On its way to becoming a regular in our rotation. Tonight the waitress had something against our table and was rude and smarmy the entire evening. We tried to win her over with kindness and gratitude but that only served to make her more venomous. We left her way too big a tip considering the rudeness then she basically told us to leave — that they were closing at 9pm in season on a saturday night. its true its never crowded. does the gracious and talented chef owner know his staff is out there insulting customers and asking them to leave? not smart. won’t ever go back. will drive to melbourne where I hear there is a superior indian restaurant.

My brother and I went for lunch, unfortunately we both ate the same thing, lamb curry and Nan. We both thought it was really good and a little pricey for the portion size. Our bill was about $ 40 with a drink. We both thought that we’d had better, but this was delicious. I will definately be back to explore the menu. Another hidden Vero Beach gem!

Too expensive, too little food, and not very good. I hate to say it but I can make better indian food and I’m not a great cook. I would forgive them for one or even two of these but not all three.

The food is excellent! When you first walk in, you think you were in Mumbai. Small, quaint rustic place, filled with aromas and good service.

We came here around 6:30pm. Being seated quick and foods came very fast. Foods wasn’t bad, crab bengal, Chai Tea and Nan Paratha were pretty good. Others were acceptable. Service was pretty nice except no explanation of the heat. We ordered medium as we came the first time and we found out they were not even a little spice at all. We asked about it when we ordered but not much information until the next table with different server, then we got the answer. So please ask for it when you go. Cannot give a good review as not enough experience about the heat.

Excellent cuisine, top quality ingredients, always fresh, aromatic, their Mango Lassie, Shrimp Pakoras, the nan, the Papadoms, the crab Bengali, a little of all India, north, south, they adjust the hot/spicy to my taste. The way the chef cooks the rice!!! I have never had Basmati rice this good. I suggest to give it a try, you’ll not be disappointed, it’s delicious! Tonight we are having Chicken Tika, saag a loo, Chicken Vindaloo, Aloomatar Gobi, yummy!

Went with my good friend today for lunch. We were a little nervous, but the waitress explained the menu and we ended up getting the Tiki Chicken Masala with the cheese Naan. Oh my food gods have blessed our taste buds, it was fantastic. This place is a hidden gem. I am already craving more.

They do chicken tikka masala and dhansak here really well. I like how they have multiple spice levels(like 7) for every palate out there. Indian spicy will have you with beads of sweat down your face. The garlic naan is also great!

Lovely and cozy place to dine, extremely friendly service(the chef himself kindly offer to replace a dish that appeared too spicy for our taste), delicious variety of curry and generous portions. My personal favorite is there rich lentil based Mulligatawny soup.

Delicious! I’ll be coming again. Never been here, and lived in vero for many years. Came in to try it based on reviews alone. The chicken tikka masala was SO good with the garlic cheese naan. Also tried the crab app– DEF try this. :) Oh, and get«medium». Very flavorful. NOT spicy. I came in alone and it was great. I also felt very satisfied and full. I would’ve given it 4.5 stars but not a full 5 because of the attitude/environment of «behind the scenes». I could see/hear into the kitchen area. Maybe it’s the Indian culture to be bossy to the waitresses?! I came in before the dinner rush, and got my food right away. The young waitress with the blonde hair was nice and helpful. The other waitress was a good sport as she had to deal with two ladies that were a handful, but I could hear and see her b***h about them, not cool. But about 20 mins(and when I was ready to leave) later, the restaurant was full. The girls(only two waitresses) were very busy! Very simple place. Nice decorations. A little cold, bring a sweater. You’ll be full when you leave!

Might possibly be the best tikka masala I’ve ever had. If we lived in this area I’d get take out from here on a weekly basis. The garlic naan was great, we had the crab bengal appetizer and it was good, the service was fast and we had zero complaints. Bring your own alcohol though, they’re very ok with it!
