The only thing consistent about this restaurant is the poor quality of the food. Service was ok, drinks were horrible. It leaves me wondering if anyone actually samples the cocktails before they put it on the menu. Unfortunately there are not a lot of local choices… So benis will get my 12 bucks for their tasteless nachos probably a few more times.

We have been to Beni’s a number of times. I have found the food to be inconsistent. I had the Guiness Pot Roast and while it was cooked fork tender many parts of my portion were dried out. I mentioned this to the waitress but never an offer to adjust the price. The service we had was fine. I have mixed emotions about going there again. Maybe but pick something different.

The food here is consistently pretty good, and the portions are typically big. The pasta dishes seem to be some of the best options. They also have a decent beer selection, and the bar has a good variety. I wouldn’t go out of my was for Beni’s, but it’s a fine option for when you’re in the area. The staff is also generally nice and cheery. Just generally a good overall feel to this place. Venue: It’s always very clean, and the parking is pretty plentiful. The crowd tends to be older(40+) with some younger guests sprinkled in. Tip: They’re pretty consistently listed on coupon websites or in the coupon booklets that come in the mail, so keep an eye out. Yea yea… I know, I should enter this as a tip and not in my review.

The food is good;thats not the issue. The service on the other hand has been incredibly slow the last few times we went-I went tonight for the last time. Recently, I waited 45 minutes for a sandwich/fries.Another time we ordered additional garlic bread while eating– 20 minutes! Tonight 25 minutes for a drink;I’m not kidding. Too bad because the place is nice and 5 minutes away but i’m done.

Came here with my mom when I was looking for areas to buy houses and ventured into the unfamiliar territory of Vernon. Cute set up with a pub, bar area and regular seating on the other side. The server was very nice but we did wait quite a bit for our food and then our check and the place wasn’t particularly crowded. The food was pretty good though. I had the stuffed filet and it was pretty big so I ended up taking some home which is always nice. I felt like the atmosphere was an upgraded version of a diner.

We live in town but don’t eat here often. In fact, last time it was Theo’s. Recently we were craving the Greek Gyros that they had in the past and still do. It was late afternoon so we avoided the lunchtime crowd and were promptly seated. Along with the Gyros, we decided to bring home some more food. I ordered the eggplant grinder and my wife ordered the prime rib sandwich. The Gyros were just as good as the last time we got them. The other food however, left a lot to be desired. The prime rib was loaded with fat, and greasy. I could have re-soled my shoes with the slices of eggplant. Beni’s could learn a lesson from Pizza Palace in court plaza about eggplant grinders. Plenty of parking, handicap accessible, fairly clean, decent waitstaff. We live so close we didn’t use the bathrooms. We’ll stick to Greek Gyros here unless we find another place nearby that serves them, but I wouldn’t recommend their other food.

We had the stuffed sole and Black Forest sandwich for lunch. Both well under $ 15 with good portion sizes that weren’t overdone. Friendly wait staff. Our second time here for lunch. We will come back. Restaurant is clean with homey atmosphere. Everything prepared well.

I was really shocked by how good this place was. Stopped in for a quick dinner with my daughter in between activities on a Thursday night. It was early, so not overly crowded. Every time we drive by, we consider stopping but the place doesn’t look like much from the outside. Well, the décor inside isn’t that great either BUT the server was excellent and they had a decent wine selection. I had a special, Chicken Pot Pie, and my daughter had the kids pasta with butter. The portions were HUGE and everything was really good! Loads of fresh veggies and my meal came with a salad. The only turn off for me was the dressing that arrived in a cafeteria style plastic cup with a cover on it. The prices were very reasonable except for the $ 3 or so that they charged me for my daughter’s green bean side.

First time at this place. We were very impressed. My wife ordered the sirloin which was very tasty and well Prepared. I had the backed stuffed shrimp which was also done very nicely. Each meal came with two generous sides. The service was outstanding. Wait staff was professional and the food came quick especially considering it was crowded and a Friday night. We really enjoyed it and we will be back for sure !!!

Since Beni’s superseded Theodore“s at this location things have gotten much better, I believe the food quality has been elevated; so too the customer service. Stopped by for a quick lunch, ordered a pastrami Rueben with crispy fries and a Cobb salad. The Cobb salad was hugh; nicely done with cheese, ham and boiled egg, the blue cheese dressing was one of the better ones, my guess is it was Ken’s commercial restaurant style blue cheese. My fries were cooked to crispy perfection just the way I had ordered, the sandwich was grilled perfectly, the pastrami was tasty, my only complaint was it was pretty scant on the sauerkraut. Service at the bar was good, no problem as far as I was concerned. Overall, a nice improvement by the the new owners.

The food is pretty good, nothing to complain about there… However there is a sign on the door that says extended bar hours, and my friends and I went to the bar for some drinks and appetizers and spent a good amount of money there, but by 10 pm we were rushed out because they said they were closing… There were still people in the bar drinking and were told to close up their tabs cause they were closing…

My wife and I have had several pleasant experiences at Beni’ in the past. However, our last visit will prevent us from returning anytime soon. We had a party of four. I ordered fried scallops and oven roasted potatoes. There were seven scallops and two very small potatoes quartered! The scallops were tough and stringy with no flavor. One of our guests meals came from the kitchen wrong and had to be returned. By the time he got his meal the rest of our party was done eating. A free beer was offered… Really? The bill was extremely high for the amount and quality of our meals.

This place has the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. Honestly, I can’t speak to anything else on the menu because it’s the only thing I’ve ever eaten there. The staff is very friendly and service is quick. The atmosphere has a bit of a ‘locals only’ feel if you sit in the bar on a weeknight. Overall, still a great place with great food.

I love the place. Staff remembers your name, live music on Tuesdays. It’s a bit pricy, but the food atmosphere and staff are fantastic.

I eat here only if I have to. Used to be a lot better when it was Theo’s. Its a townie bar with a restaurant(and a «function hall») thrown together. Good luck getting a seat at the bar — and if you do, and your not from a surrounding town or a regular, you’re going to be stared at. I have even had a verbal altercation once because I was sitting in someone’s usual seat. Give me a break. Normal bar fare in the restaurant although their menu selections try to give it a «restauranty» feel. Sandwiches are ok, better when you get them to go as there seems to be more food present. Entrees are over-buttered and over seasoned.

Not a bad place but we were not impressed. The food was mediocre, the place was a little cramped, and the prices were a little high for what we got, not super-expensive but I have gotten better for cheaper. That said, we have friends that like the place, although they usually sit at the bar.

I only went there mainly because me and my girlfriend where on our way back from New Hampshire and we’re starving. The food is meh. I just think its a bar with a restaurant thrown in as an afterthought.

PROS: Tasty food Tender filet, huge piece BIG portions Calamari was tubes only No lines(now I know why) CONS: Cold food Not cooked as requested Non attentive waitress A bit long waiting for food So many other restaurants to patronize, why give them our business? We won’t be returning.

Service was nice, super friendly and patient. The complimentary bread came out soft and warm. My salad with gorgonzola and walnuts balsamic vinegar was really good. The soup that came with my meal was a spicy chicken and pepper. It was also really good. The downer was my Chicken Colombia pasta dish. I love the kalmata olives and salami with the chicken and the sauce but my pasta was drowning in the sauce. It made everything really soggy. And I ate a few bites of the chicken but then one bite was pretty close to raw and it had a bad after taste like it was close to being rotten. I pushed away all the chicken and continued eating my pasta because I was traveling the next day and didn’t need to get sick or anything. That night and all day the next day I had some serious bubble guts. It was super uncomfortable :(

I went to beni’s for my first time with a party of 12. I waited 7+ minutes at the door waiting for direction of where to go to meet my party. I had also dropped off an ice cream cake the day before for my fiancé’s birthday and after reminding and cueing the wait staff to bring the cake out for my party to enjoy, they completely forgot. My entire party left us and we never got to eat our cake :(And then when we asked for the cake to go, it was completely melted. womp womp womp. FAIL.
